I lifted my heavy eyelids, only to be met with more darkness. My vision returned as I adjusted my eyes to the darkness. My body was still weak from the lack of rest, I was planning to rest my body but this unexpected turn of event spoil my schedule. I groaned as I shifted my gaze to find Carla. It was then that I realized that this place is different.

“What’s going on?” I asked Carla after dusting my cloak.

“I should be asking that of you,” Carla snapped.

I stared down at the sight below my feet. The sight of magic cirlce lit my eyes. My palms spread flat against the dusty floor, then inspecting the magic circle carved on the floor after dusting it. “Hm.. Interesting, this is teleportation circle.”

 “What?” Carla gasped “So are you saying we were teleported to other place?”

“That’s seems to be the case.”

Carla crouched down on the floor next to me. Her beautiful face a few inches away from mine. “Can you activated this magic circle again?”

“Previously it’s activated on it’s own, and looks like it’s one way teleportation circle.”

“One way?” she tilted her head.

“It means the two circle on different place have different function. The carving infused with some kind of gems, and 20-foot-diameter circle on the ground inscribed with sigils. it link our previous location to this circle according to sigil sequence, not the opposite.”

I looked at mt map, surprised “We are still inside The Tomb of Emperor Radamesh, but it’s the main chamber of the tomb.”

“.. so we teleported to another part of the tomb, still I didn’t expect you to know much about this place."

“It's my ability, and it's better if no one know about it. hmm.. Emperor Radamesh.. I saw a book about him, it’s er,  The Glory of Radamesh.”

“You read it too?”

“No, not interested. so what about him?”

“He was rumored to be the strongest man under the heaven. There would never again have any real authority, only to endorse the wishes of the emperor, the real power was in the hands of the emperor, and to insure his own safety, he relied on his personal bodyguard, The Magi of Order, who, within a few decades, would wield power unforeseen even by the Emperor Radamesh. He also interfered with the religion of the empire. He rebuilt decaying temples, resurrected old religious ceremonies and assumed the title of Eminence of the Millenium. In short, the emperor’s word became law.

“... impressive story.”

“Where are you doing?” Carla asked.

“To the next room,” I replied.“I found something interesting.” With that, I caught hold of Carla’s hand and pulled her out of the room.

“How could you be so carefree, what if there are monster here?!”

“Don’t worry there’s no one in this floor.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“This way.”

“Wait, this is wrong, a mage is supposed to be behind the knight. Isn’t our role reversed..?”

“Don’t sweat the small detail. Turn left, then here..”

Using map system as navigation, I locate a staircase, it went down. On the end of the passage was unused looking dining hall.

“How could there’s a place like this inside the tomb...” Carla said, venturing inside the dining hall, amazed.

“Someone living in this place...” I said, tossing the sheet over the box, "You think people live in this place?" she asked tentatively.

"Maybe, but it doesn’t necessarily need to be human, check that kitchen cabinet.”

Carla gave me a resigned look. "Are you hungry? Is that what you're saying?"

I shrugged, looking hopeful. "Aren't you?" I rolled my eyes and walked to the cabinet near the kitchen table in the corner. 

"Interesting," I muttered, feeling around the tiny space. Not much left-a stale lump of bread, two peanuts and one potato. 

“Someone is indeed here recently.”

“How could that be, who?”

“Who knows? Maybe the emperor still alive.” I shrugged and sipped a bottle of wine.

“Don’t say the impossible, must be thieves or tomb raider. Wait, where did you get that wine?”

“I found it inside the cabinet.”

“Liar, I saw nothing of the sort.”

I snorted. “So what? It’s not good to pry into others secret. Lets take a rest for real this time.” Grabbing a chair, I pressed my butt to it. “I'm tired of walking, I will take a nap for a while, so you also should do the same.”

“I’ll stand guard, those thieves might come back here.”

I wolfed the potato, with my mouth still full of them I said “No need, I already cast a barrier around us, this bread for you, take it.” It didn’t take long for me to fall asleep as soon as I finish my potato.

Minutes stretched into hours, “Lestat,” she shouted, shaking me. “Wake up”

I jolted upright, the feet of my chair squeaked.

My body dotted with sweat, I scanned my surroundings. I saw Carla in front of me.

“What’s wrong?”

“I heard footsteps.”

“Really?... ah indeed, there are twenty of them.”

“I won’t get surprised again...”

True enough, a twenty man in leather armor could be seen coming towards us with sword hanging on their waist. I disabled my barrier. as they saw us here, their face looked excited beyond salvation.

When the thieves voice reached Carla’s ears, her faces changed. In an instant, cold glare directed at the thieves was replaced with a furious anger and a very intense amount of killing intent emanated from her eyes as she stared fiercely at them. “I’ll kill all of you.”

The man leading them had a look of lust then he lick his lips. A very intense amount of lust emanated from his eyes as he stared intensely at the beautiful knight with a hourglass body and big breast covered by a layer of black armor, “you have no qualifications to speak such a thing, just be obdient and suck my candy, Kahahaha.”

As the words left his mouth, suddently one of the thieves let out a muffled sound, his eyes full of disbelief, then crumpled to the ground with a hole in his neck. The surrounding become quiet, silence filled the room for a moment.

“Useless shit. Someone, go and catch her, and I’ll give a chance whoever succeed to taste her after I get bored.” As the man barked out an order, the surrounding thieves didn’t hesitate for a moment as each one of them draw their weapons and charged at Carla from every possible angle.

“Also kill that smiling guy, disfigure his face and cut his head. I hate his face!”

I let out a sigh as my body flickered out of sight, the weapon from my enemies all hit nothing but air, for I have used invisibility and sat in the chair far from them. The thief who tried to attack me filled with confusion as there’s no sign of me anywhere, in the end he change his target to Carla. 

My eyes glued to the scene before me. This is a chance to see the extent of Carla ability. I also interested in seeing a fight between warriors. Well, I’ll make sure nothing bad happen to her, 

but soon I changed my mind. She doesn’t need my help at all.

Carla rapidly moved back and forth, and everytime she move her sword, blood is spilled, flowing like a waterfall. her movement is very smooth as she lashed out with her sword stabbing the thieves in the throat, her sword moved nimbly, fast enough for them to die without knowing it. Each one of them crumpled to the ground as they were killed.

“What a fast sword!” I spoke out with some surprise.

Although Carla was against over a twenty men, the difference between the two sides was far too great. In my eyes, it had become a massacre, it was almost as if the thieves weren’t even fighting back since they were incapable of touching even her armor. With the thrust of Carla’s sword, another two men met a tragic death. Just in five minutes, seventeen people died to her sword, the group of twenty thieves fell down to 3 men remaining.

“Hiii, monster!

“What are you standing here for! Hurry and kill her!”

“B-but”

“Fuck, just kill her or I’ll kill you myself!” the boss kick the two remaining subordinate. Fear filled his mind, to think the beautiful woman that he think only as plaything would be so terrifying.

The slaughter continued for a little longer as the remaining thieves crumbled to the ground the moment they made a contact with the female knight. it was just for a moment, but I saw her smiling as she kill her enemies dyeing her sword in blood.

Carla had finally come to a stop after killed the two thief leaving only their leader. At this moment, the entire dining hall was littered with the dead bodies of the thieves. Each one of the bodies had a single wound on their bodies that let blood flow onto the ground, dying it a red like a river of blood.

The boss of the thieves spoke with a trembling voice, “Oh great and mighty knight, please spare me, I’ll do anything...”

Carla’s cold gaze turned even darker as she stepped toward the thief boss. Each step she took made the man even more nervous before Carla said, “You should have never say anything about my mother.” Seeing how the female knight was approaching him, the man took a step back and running with all his might.

Carla Instantly appearing in behind him, her sword stabbed straight for the man’s head, but surprisingly her sword wedged into a wall made of ice that suddenly formed betwen her and the leader of thieves. She tried to destroy the ice wall but it surprisingly hard and showed no sign of being destroyed.

She moved her gaze to me, “You, what are you doing?” Carla’s eyes pierced coldly straight into my eyes.

“Letting him escape?” I said while munching the leftover peanut, ignoring her towering killing intent.

“Let me pass, or else..”

“Don’t worry, I just want to find out how he could get into this place.”

“... I don’t believe you, what are you doing earlier? didn’t help me at all. You just stay there..watching us. Maybe you are their comrade..”

Looking at the escaping thief, I sneered “How could that be possible? Don’t you think it’s weird for a weaklings like them to be in this tomb, They are just a pawn, I’ll let you have more fun, more blood you can spill until you drown yourself in it.”

“...”

I look deep into her eyes “You love it don’t you? The red, a pasionate color of blood...”
