"Is anyone there?" Mason shouted, kicking the door with his foot.
Her action lasted for a while, but there was no movement outside. "Sigourney, there seems to be no one outside."
"I think this may be a good chance to save myself," Sigourney nodded. "Mason, come to me."
Mason came to her partner. She did not know Sigurney's plan, but trust drove her to do as Sigurney said.
"You squat down a little," said Sigourney, sitting on the ground. She put her head behind Mason and began to bite the rope on her wrist with her teeth.
The rope on her hand was loosened bit by bit. When Mason's hand was pulled out of it, she felt the freedom she had not seen for a long time.
"It's finally untied," said Sigourney, spitting out the debris from her mouth. "Please help Ms. Jennifer untie her. Her forehead is injured."
Jennifer was lifted up by Mason, and the blood on her head was wiped clean by Mason with a rag torn from her clothes. Sigourney and Kevin's ropes were also untied, and they rubbed their wrists, which had been cut out. They were much more relaxed.
"We have to get out," Kevin said. "Jennifer, can you hold on?"
"I try my best," Jennifer nodded. She stood up with Mason's help. Kevin put one of her hands on her shoulder and supported her waist with his own.
Sigourney gently opened the door from the inside, then looked out. Mason and Kevin helped Jennifer follow her and walked out of the room.
The lights in the hall were on, and there was no sign of that group of people outside. Kevin and others finally felt relieved, and the group began to walk outside.
With the light in the building, four people came to the dock outside the tourist center building. Kevin looked at the other side of the bridge and asked the others, "Are we going to the hospital now?"
Sigourney and Mason looked at Jennifer. The two girls said in unison, "Go."
"We'd better get a car," Kevin said. "There is a path hidden in the forest from the other end of the bridge to the hospital. I'm not sure what will be in the forest, and we don't have weapons."
"Our truck stopped at the gate of the tourist center," Sigourney looked in that direction. "It would be a little far if we walked there."
"There are some cars here," Mason pointed to a row of parking spaces on the dock. "There may be something moving in it."
"Come on," Kevin helped Jennifer over there.
Two of the cars can be started, and four people chose a Buick business car with a relatively large carriage to ride on.
Kevin turned on the lights and started the car. The car bypassed the green belt in front of the parking space and drove onto the road leading to the bridgehead. There is a yacht standing alone on the trestle of the nearby dock. When the engine is turning, the light is rowing from the yacht's hull, and no one has noticed some signs of fighting on it.
When the light fell straight on the bridge floor, Kevin saw the corpses of the two former companions. The blood around them had already solidified and turned black under the light. Robert and Jeremy were not only hit by bullets during the sneak attack, but also shot in the head at close range by Derek with a pistol. Neither of them survived.
Sitting in the co pilot's seat, Sigourney also saw the tragedy on the bridge, and her eyes widened with horror.
"That's Robert and Jeremy?" Although she had the answer in her heart, Sigourney still asked Kevin in a trembling voice.
Kevin nodded. His face was a little dark under the night. If you look carefully, you will find his hand shaking slightly.
"If we can escape back, I will tell Jason what happened here," Kevin said quietly. "We must let those beasts pay for their debts."
"Hmm!" Sigourney nodded and wiped her tears with her hands.

The car went around the body and finally drove onto the bridge. On the right side of the front, a concrete trestle extends from the bridge to the outside. Between the trestle and the opposite bank is a small dock, which just can accommodate several boats.
The light is projected in the dense forest on the opposite bank. The mottled shadows of the trees interlace in the forest. The path hidden in the forest is eerily quiet.
After the car drove off the bridge, Kevin's vision turned into trees. He drove the car along the forest road with 12 points of energy, and the speed was controlled within 20 miles by him. Kevin, who is used to driving on urban roads, is not very comfortable with such forest roads, and the lane of the road is very narrow, which is just a little wider than this Buick business car.
The light in the dense forest was very poor, Kevin had to pay more attention to the situation on both sides of the road. The car almost drove out of the path at the first corner. Fortunately, Kevin turned the steering wheel back in time to let the front of the car return to the middle of the road.
A swing of the car body made Jennifer on the back seat uncomfortable. Mason held her in his arms and let her head rest on his chest. When Jennifer felt better, he tried the temperature of her forehead with his hands.
There is a big hole in the window glass beside the driver's seat. The wind keeps pouring in through this hole when the car is driving. Jennifer shrinks to Mason's arms, and Mason quickly holds her hand. "Ms. Jennifer, hold on a little longer, and we'll be there soon."
After the car rounded a corner again, the front view began to widen, and the road became much wider. The trees scattered on both sides, giving way to a large area of open space. There were some buildings in front of them. Under the light of the road, the marks left by some car tires were particularly striking.
A dozen meters away on the left side of the road is a large square pond, which is connected to the waterway of the inland river by a small river. To the east of the pool is a clearing covered with vegetation. Beside the clearing, there is an area surrounded by barbed wire. Because of the distance, Kevin can't see the inside clearly.
Through the open space covered with vegetation, Kevin saw two buildings located at the edge of the dense forest in front of him. A zigzag curve in line J emerged from the front of the building, connecting the building with the outside road.
"There should be a hospital," Kevin looked at the building ahead and drove over.
"Ms. Jennifer, here we are," Mason gently shook Jennifer's shoulder. "Please cheer up."
Kevin parked his car at the door of the building. This is indeed the hospital of the tourist center, and the next round building is the logistics service center. He and Sigourney got out of the car and then helped Mason and Jennifer open the back door.
"Let's go in and find what we need," Kevin said to the three female companions. "Everyone should be careful and follow me."
The hall on the first floor of the hospital is littered with garbage, and some broken appliances are scattered in the corners around. The scene in front of people can only be described as a mess. The glass at the gate also broke several pieces, and the wind blew in from the door, blowing the paper scraps on the ground everywhere.
Kevin pushed open the door of the hospital and walked in with his companions behind him. The four men walked carefully inside after bypassing the glass slag on the ground.
Kevin's palms were sweaty. He was very nervous, and he kept praying in his heart not to meet zombies or the animals that caught them here.
After a lot of effort, the four people finally found the infusion room. This spacious room is located in the inner part of the whole building. No danger was encountered along the way, and no body was seen here.
"This place has been cleaned up," Kevin said. "We need to quickly find medicine and infusion equipment for Jennifer."
"All right," Mason helped Jennifer to the sofa and sat down, and then, together with Sigourney, started searching at the reception desk in the infusion room.
"Useful things can be put in this bag," Kevin found a backpack from nowhere and handed it to Sigourney.
"I found the antipyretic needle," Mason ran to Kevin with an excited face. She handed Kevin something wrapped in a plastic bag. "There are also special anti-inflammatory drugs."
"Let's give Jennifer an injection first," Kevin said. "I don't think I can keep her condition until I go back to the observatory."
"Well," said Sigourney, who had learned some medical knowledge during her internship in the flight attendant group, "help me find some alcohol."
After preparing the medicine, Sigourney straightened Jennifer's body, put her arm on the arm of the sofa, and then moved a shelf from the side.
"Here you are, Sigourney," Mason handed over the bottle containing medical alcohol. "This is a cotton slip. You should also use it."
"Thank you, Mason." Sigourney hung the prepared bottle on the shelf, then tore the package of the infusion set, inserted the large needle into the bottle, held the Murphy tube upside down to let it exhaust, and observed whether there was air entering.
Kevin and Mason stood aside for a while. Seeing that there was nothing they could do to help, they turned back and continued to look for medicine.
Sigourney took a towel and put it under Jennifer's arm, rolled up her sleeve, disinfected the vein with a cotton strip dipped in medical alcohol, and then tied a tourniquet about 5 or 6 cm from the planned injection position.
Before inserting the needle, Sigourney exhausts the tube of the infusion device again until the liquid medicine starts to flow out from the needle.
"Please try to hold your fist, Ms. Jennifer," Sigourney told Jennifer. Then she patted her hand on the position of the upper vein of her arm. After the blood vessels under the skin became more obvious, she put the needle into it.
"Your hands can be loosened, madam," said Sigourney. She tore off several infusion stickers to fix the pillow firmly, and then she began to adjust the infusion rate
Jennifer nodded and leaned back on the back of the sofa. After she took the special anti-inflammatory drugs Sigurney had prepared for her, she closed her eyes and began to rest.
