Prologue - Part 1

In the world of Temini, somewhere on the main continent:

“Congratulations, it’s a girl!” (?)

A woman in her twenties, along with two other men, were in a room inside of a massive mansion. The woman, with blonde hair and green eyes, was holding a small baby. The baby had the same blonde hair as the woman, but had differently-colored eyes, one green and one blue.

“Ha, the baby looks just like you, Camille!” (?)

“Well, the hair looks similar, but it seems that she inherited one eye from both of us, Jean.” (Camille)

“Anyway, we promised that I would get to name it if it was a boy, and you would get to do so if it was a girl.” (Jean)

After a few moments of thoughtful consideration by Camille, she said with a hint of satisfaction,

“The baby shall be named Charlotte. Charlotte Miron.” (Camille)

“Waaaa!” (Charlotte)

As if right on cue, the baby started wailing after being given her name. Camille’s calm and happy demeanor was immediately replaced with one of panic and confusion as she asked the doctor in the room.

“What should I do to calm the baby down?” (Camille)

“I believe that cuddling the baby should help, my lady.” (Doctor)

Camille immediately started cuddling the baby, and was filled with relief when the crying started getting softer. Afterwards, she started feeding the baby by letting her rest near her chest. Eventually, the wailing stopped and the infant closed her eyes, instantly falling into a slumber.

After thanking the doctor for his time and dismissing him, Camille brought the baby through the decorated hallways of the mansion, to a room bigger than the last, about six metres by five metres. The room had a toy box, which was filled with many expensive toys for babies. There was also a big crib, which exuded an aura of wealth with the high-quality materials used to construct it. After gently placing Charlotte inside the crib, Camille turned off the lights. However, instead of using a switch, the light seemingly turned off on its own. This was done due to Camille having the ability to use life magic, one of the eight elements in the fantastical world of Temini.

“I wonder what elements Charlotte will be able to use? I hope that she’s able to use at least two.”

Camille mumbled to herself before leaving the room, where she went to the living room of the mansion. The living room was by far the biggest room in the estate, being a few times bigger than the baby room. The entrance to the room were two big doors leading into the room, where a massive chandelier hanging on the roof managed to light up the whole room. A gigantic rectangular table was stationed near the entrance, with several chairs around the side and two chairs at the front; seemingly fit for a ruler.

Sitting in one of the seats in the front was Jean, who seemed ecstatic to see Camille arrive. His disheveled black hair and fit physique suggested that he was unprofessional, and his manner of speaking certainly supported the theory.

“Hey Camille! Come take ya seat and let’s celebrate giving birth to a daughter!”

She breathed a soft sigh before proceeding to her seat, and rang the bell positioned on the table near her. Moments after the sound rang around the room, a servant came into the room with a cart carrying multiple dishes. He placed them down on the table in front of the nobles, before taking a slight bow and leaving the room.

“Please enjoy your lunch, my lords.”
