Sunlight creeps over the horizon of the Flame Energy Sect, as a gentle breeze makes its way up the mountain encountering 10s of thousands of people on its journey that stops at the base of the mountain inside of the Sect in the forest. And where this breeze settles a young man is resting, or so it seams.
"Fuck... Where am I?"
Lu Song says as he gets up from the ground and looks around to a unfamiliarly place, but familiar at the same time. It feels, no, he knows that he has spent hundreds of hours here, but at the same time he has no idea where here is.
Just before Lu Song try's to find out where he is he feels a sharp, but continues pain in his head that travels to his spine. This pain builds up till it feels like his vary soul is splitting apart and changing shape. Then it continues decreasing until he he remembers who he is or rather who he once was. Suddenly he falls on the ground that he woke up on. Past out.
......
What happened to me. I was on my bed reading manga one moment and now I am Lu Song, a guy who shouts out that I am going to surpass the heavens. I know that's not really me, but it feels like I have done ever single thing he has down. Whatever the case I need to get going, it's getting dark
As I get up I find that my body feels much firmer and solid than before, and I try to remember everything about this world. A world with clans, one of which I am from. The Lu clan a relatively small, but new clan. That's good at least I have some backing. This world also has sects which are usually stronger than clans, and I am at the Flame Energy Sect. Overall this world is a straight up cultivation world where the biggest fist wins, and the weak can not band together to defeat the strong. Yeah I am a little fucked.
"Thank god I have some talent." I say as I get up and start moving to the main sect area
Although I am not super talented only with 47 spirit roots, which is about average in the Flame Energy Sect. I am still the most talented from my generation of the Lu Sect.
As I look around everything looks a little brighter than before, or rather it feels brighter. Anyway I make my way to get out of the forest to the main sect area. As I get near the path I notices the familiarly looking library that I passed everyday from training, but have not gone in since the first week he came into the sect. I'll check that out tomorrow.
As I pass the library I walk on the path which looks like it's made of concrete or something similar. Then I get on the stairs, that look like they continue on forever, and head down to a dorm like building that houses my room, with the number 689 on the door. Which now that I think about it must represent something because there are completely random numbers on each door.
As I got into my room I going straight to my bed, because after having all those memories shoved into my head or my soul whatever it is, I need rest.
......
"That was not a bad dream" I say as I get up from my bed to get changed and freshen up. As I look into the mirror I notice that I have long black hair and pale skin, and blood red eyes. The only deference from before I got to this world is the long hair and eye color. I might cut my hair though as long hair tends to get in the way. Anyways
"Now it's time for some food" I muttered as I decided to get out of my room and head to the dining area that is a little up the mountain from my room. As I walk up I notice that there are a ton of people moving about and going all over the place. Whether it's the people that smell of smoke with deep black bags around there eyes, or the people that smell of plants and nature who are heading down the mountain to the alchemist and herbalist areas. Or the more energetic confided looking people heading up to the dining area or training areas. they are among the many people heading to everywhere right now. To my surprise there are a lot more people than I thought would be in a sect, it kind of reminds me of college.
Although everyone here is above a mortal they seem to carry at least a trace of anxiety or inpatient. like they are walking on a tightrope, and have patience and dedication but there is someone at the end slowly cutting the rope they are walking on. Some people seem to just got on the rope and are going at it with speed, while others have been on it for a long time and can't move fast for the fear of the rope snaping. Then there is the vary small group of people that are at the end of the tightrope who are advancing to the next challenge, but they look nervous like they don't know if they will overcome this one.
Anyway I arrive at the dining hall to go get my food, which looks well made but has no seasoning. Just as I get my food I hear.
"Over here Song" Ja Fang, Lu Songs only friend, calls out too me. As I see him standing and waving.
If you come across this story on Amazon, it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.
"I did not see you coming for diner yesterday, did you train all day?" He says as he sits back down to his 3 trays of food right as I got to him.
"Yeah I went a harder than I usually do" I lie.
As I am looking at Fang I recall that he is fat, but vary strong for his cultivation realm every since I met him when I joined the sect 8 months ago. Though I can only speculate that his fatness comes from a cultivation technique, because of how impossible it is to become a young fat cultivator.
"So the tournament is in a month from now, your participating right?" Fang says as I sit down to eat, and recall that the tournament is a yearly gladiator fight to become part of the inner sect. That only accepts one person. Although if a inner elder makes you there disciple or if you become a Qi establishment realm cultivator you can also become part of the inner sect.
"I don't know yet, I mean I am only a 6 star body cultivator, and I would have to win against 8 and 9 star cultivators." I say then we are eating while talk about random things, and he mostly tells me the drama and gossip that has been spreading around to keep me up to date. A normal day for him, and my first day here.
There is one thang that he says that interest me, he talked about the pills alchemist made and how they can strengthen your body for a limited time, permanently, or even heal you completely when you break bones, or burst orgains. Which amazes me as that is something completely impossible in home world. In the middle of a tangent in my mind I hear.
"You FUCKING bumped into me JACKASS!" Yep that is my que to leave. No need to get into drama and become a part of a fight
"Hey I'm going to head out" I say over screaming and fighting. As I proceed to get up to put my tray up.
"I'm going to finish eating then head out to, see you latter man" Fang replies as we both move, him going away from the fight.
As I am walking I notice that the people fighting are in the middle of the dinning hall, then I proceed to ignore whatever is happening.
"Thanks for making the food" I say to the lunch lady like people, who are mortals. This causes people to stare at me, because no one even pays these people mind. To them they are only mortals after all, but they helped make my food.
Anyways i think back to the library, and decide to go there. On my way I notice, that even though I am a 6 star body cultivator going up hundreds of stairs is still a little taxing. This brings to mind of what a body cultivator even is. I mean although I am stronger than a "mortal" I don't have excess to Qi yet, I only have better body strength. So what makes the body so much stronger than what is possible on earth? I guess I will find out in the library.
As I get inside I find that there is a outer elder as a librarian in the library. Who looks stone faced which I just walked right pasted as he looks like a no nonce type of guy. Then as I was walking in the library I notice that strangely there is no order of where books are. There would be technique manuals with theory, alchemy, and formations books. Overall no order, which is probably because all the disciples here don't care for the library and just put what they grabbed to the closest shelf. Anyway I spend some time looking for books that catch my attention, whether they are technique books or not. Some of the books I picked include "The Grand Rapid Line" a movement technique, "What is Cultivation" , and "Formation and Alchemy the Basics Theory" . Overall most books I picked have rather simple names besides the technique books.
After a couple hours reading the many books I picked up I notice that they only give a lackluster explanation and don't really talk about the mechanics of how things work, but they say things like "steal from the heavens", and "the world provides energy" which don't really tell me what that means and how it happens. Overall everything is quite basic, as even the books about beast don't even have drawings of the beast themselves, and have no categories.
From what I read I want to try a couple of things out. So after I spent a another couple hours I finished reading I go outside to test what I learned, only to find out that the sun is about to set, and I probably only have like an hour or 2 until its completely dark outside. In spite of that I am still going to try some things, in order to do that I am going to go to my training spot in the woods, which is the same place I woke up, as that is where Lu Song trains. When I get there I notice that it's a open area, and a nice place to train, without all the noise of the training areas.
The First thing I am going to test is the attack technique that Lu Song practices before I came to him. Its called thunder kick, supposably because when mastered it makes the sound of thunder. So I go up to a tree and get in a horse stance and do a side ways kick to the tree, you don't have to do a side ways kick, any type is fine. Despite not fully believing I can damage the tree I crack it open. Though I don't split it in half, which is probably caused by me still thinking I'm mortal. My mind still thinks I will get hurt, so my mind decreases the power. Which is something that will be fixed in time.
Anyway It's a rush that I have the physical power to do that. I proceed to kick the tree again using the same technique, and crack it more. The rush I get is amazing so I continue practicing, once the tree brakes I just kick the air repeatedly. And I notice that the technique is actually moving the air away from my kick, and its bulging my leg muscles to bigger proportions than I ever thought possible for such a slim physique. The technique makes less air resistance as there is less air giving me more speed and power, how it does it I have no idea while also increasing my kicking power by bulging my mussels. As I practices I focused on my kicking motion and what this motion is meant to achieve. I try a lot of different types of kicks in the process. As I am doing that I get more and more focused until it feels like time does not exist, at that vary moment I look around and its pitch black around me. looking to the moon being nearly half way up the sky, so even though I did not get to test out the many things I want to test out I head to my room.
On my way I thought back to the training and found that the old Lu Song had a stupide training method, I mean he never trained his only technique, and only did physical exercise, which is good and all, but even he was kind lazy with it.
So tomorrow I will get a couple of notebooks to record things I learn, read some more, and test some more, sound nice.
Anyways Its time to hit the hay.
