Prologue

Gods were always too greedy, always taking without paying the fee

Gods were always too prideful, thinking they’re one of a kind

They never bothered to look, even if they couldn’t see

They never bothered to check, even if they could possibly not find

They never imagined they might be no more than specks of dust on the eyes of others

Until it became evident that they were not much than the petty mortals...

----------------------------------------

At the start there was neither the dark or the light, and definitelly not the Gods. There was only Abyss, a sea full of nothing, a being that was not aware of it’s own power. The two pillars of life and existance, the very time and space itself, was not present. Only Abyss had reign over.

It was more than a cruel, twisted joke. And for a nonexistent moment, it was actually funny.

What’s a King without a speck of land?

If you spot this story on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

Nothing. And this cruel joke finally made more sense when you looked at what was available at the time.

But for a moment, be it only a second or as old as the Abyss, something changed. The Abyss itself was a self destructing being from it’s start, and this unstability costed it’s very being.

After all, you cannot simply exist in somewhere when the “some” and the “where” parts were non-existant too.

It was that moment, when the fully stable universe was being born and the non-existant Abyss was killing itself from inside, the moment when the both complete opposites that were meant to never met, was present at the same time, nine Omnipotent beings were born.

They were supposed to not exist, not from the two both complete opposite and powerful beings. And that was the biggest middle finger to universe, just being born as themselves.

Eldritch Abominations, that’s what the silent Universe decided to give them as a name, and when it created the first Gods, it gave them a warning to stay away from them. They were semi-existant and not fully stable beings that did not obey the laws of the universe. They were the children of Abyss that lacked the reason but had the power along wisdom, alongside being the creations of universe that had a purpose but was bounded by it’s own being.

They were both so perfect and so wrong at the same time.

This is the story of Eight, one of those nine beings that was trying to it’s own purpose on life, and decided to search mortals along his journey to nirvana.

It was the sad truth that, they were actually nothing more than unwanted mistakes.
