That time I figured out how to control the future
Prologue: I am a computer program

Prologue: I am a computer program

Do you believe that each person comes pre-programmed?

Of the 100 million people in Japan, every single one of them is driven by an invisible script. This script is assigned to them at birth and dictates every single action they take.

What I’m trying to say is that when a person is born, before they even cry for the first time, their whole life ahead of them is planned out. Not just the big stuff like when they’re going to die, I mean every miniscule detail, down to every deep feeling of love they would experience, every annoyance at a roommate, and even how salty their miso soup would be that morning.

Stolen story; please report.

For example, do I actually like the cabbage right now that’s stuck to my fork, or am I programmed to like it? Am I dipping it in soy sauce because I’ve been subconsciously told to, or because I genuinely like salt? Did I confess to that girl because some huge plan told me to, or because I found the way she smiled cute?

Maybe you don’t believe me, and I don’t expect you to. I didn’t believe it at first either. The fact that my life was a boring mundane existence that repeated day in and day out was because I had chosen for it to be that way, it hadn’t been written in some grand plan.

But I was wrong.

Now I know that free will is a joke. We all have a hidden story that is engrained in us, it has reached deep inside us and twisted and turned those knobs around that make you who you are..

It’s difficult to explain, I’ll tell you what happened from the start and you can judge for yourself.
