It was rainy evening, Max was driving car to home, and he was coming back from part work. On the way to home he planned to stop at his childhood friend’s place to bring her few stuff for school. Although they were friends for long time, they still didn’t became anything more than just friends. Because they were both afraid of what would happen if things didn’t work between them, so they didn’t show each other their feelings. Even though Max was trying to hide his true feelings, he know that deep inside him, he have feelings to Lara so strong that he couldn’t hide them completely.

He finally came to her house, he parked car on side of road, and went to house and ring the bell. He waited a minute and tried again but there was no responds, so he tried opened the door. Luckily door was not locked and he stepped into hose, the entrance was completely empty and light was off. Max was looking around and saw that door to living room was open, he went in living room and saw Lara father standing in the middle of the room with hands scratching his head and something mumbling to himself.

“Mister Gael are you okay” Max asked Lara father.

Gael looked at Max and he said something to him.

“I didn’t do it because I wanted, but I needed to do something to save my family”.

His words confused Max and then he looked at Gael feet and saw there were three wet bags. Max was even more confused but he realized that those things beside Gael feet were not wet bags but bloody bodies. On Gael right was Lara mother with very deep cuts all over her body, then on right was Lara little brother with his chest completely torn apart and parts of his heart lying beside him. Max started to tremble and looked on what was between those two bodies and saw third body in several pieces. Body was lying beside Gael with hands and legs not far away, but head was not there. Max started to hope that he is in nightmare and started moving back, away from those bodies and while he was moving back he notice a round object next to his feet. Face on that object was awful familiar to him and pain in his chest rose up, and then he realized that was face of Lara. In a moment he realized that, third body belonged to Lara. He fell on his back with his body completely trembling and tears escaping from his eyes.

Gael didn’t’ looked at Max anymore but on bodies beside him and started screaming as he was going crazy and fall on his knees and mumbling something just loud enough for Max to hear him.

“He said if make deal with him all my problem will go away, but price was me killing my own family that I wanted to save”.

“That damn dealer”! Gael yelled his last words and then his mind went blank.

Max could barely heard Gael last words but after he hear them, he stared feeling anger that was mixing with his filings of what he lost, until his mind couldn’t hold any more and he lost consciousness.

Few hours later in building on unknown location in USA, where is a top secret lab/HQ of unknown organization. In a room that is probably information control center, many technician were by computers and monitoring information. They were supervised by a tall middle age man named Sid, who was collecting information for next operation, but was distracted by new problematic information.

Few moments’ later doors to the room opened and in room came man medium build with sunglass and asked Sid.

“Sid just what information did you got that I needed get here?”

“Oh Agent you already here, we just get some really problematic info”

“I know that just tell me already what info is, wait a second don’t tell me is about him?”

“Yes it is, look like he again made a mess with same of his deal”

“I knew it, so what he did do?”

“I don’t know a details but look like he made deal with man named Gael, who few hours back kill his whole family, probably for fixing his problems”.

“It that so, he always make deals where people suffer, so what problem he had?”

“Hmm, there were probably financial problem, because info is shoving that is situations was pretty bad, but now there is not even a trace of those problems.

And he was also in contact with pretty bad loan sharks, who were noticed around his house but now they are completely gone”.

At latest Sid words Agent take deep breath and think about something.

“Ironic as always, to save family from loan sharks, he made a deal with him, but in end he needed to kill his family”.

Agent conclude information that he just got, and asked Sid about something more. 

“But looking at what he just did and what he already did in last year, is telling us that his case really belong to us and not to that society?”

Sid smile at his words, since he already has answer to that.

“Yes indeed, looking at his ability to fix problems, even healing or fixing people even from almost or sure death. He is definitely high level user, and if he is, then he sure belong to “them” who are under our jurisdiction”.

“If that so how that we can’t to confirm that, I understand when he makes deals, evidence how problems were before always disappears, and just thin bit of information remains. But there should be some others info, it can’t be, that society hide information from us?” Agent asked with angry voice.

“About that we just get some new info, how about some group from dark society tried to ambush him, but they were completely annihilated.”

“Ho, so they dare to hide that kind information from us!” Agent jelled, becoming even more angrier.

“Yes indeed that info practically confirm that he is definitely high level user, so if they were letting that info to us, would be the same as telling us came her, get him”.

“Argh, I know that they don’t like us involving into their business, but still hiding info about our case, juts because he is user little involved with them is too much. I will definitely punish them!”

“What will you do to them” Sid asked

“Noting special I will just size few of their possession that they don’t know that I know about”.

“Ho, that is definitely severe punishment, almost the most sever of those that I am aware of”.

“Forgot about that, tell me about current case. It is possible to make short stop on the way to location to check that last deal of him”?

“Ah current case about others connected with that one we size in Miami, as I already told you, it seems that they were also involved with weapons smugglings on other location where we intended to go. That last deal of him happened in New York, so it’s not directly on a way to our current case. But I think is worth to make short detour, since there is also a witness”.

“Witness, you are not talking about Gael, your report is saying that he went crazy”?

“Ah, not him, short after he kill family, probably not even an hour later. Lara friend or boyfriend come to house and discover what happened, he is also supposed to hear some words Gael said before went comply crazy”.

“Okay, let’s go first check that witness before our case”

Agent decided, and then leave the room, Sid stayed in room little more time to collect necessary information and then leave to make necessary preparation.

One day later on New York police station, Max was sitting in conference room with his mother and one detective who was taking his statement. When detective finished and leave in room came two otters who obvious weren’t detective from police station.

“Hello, I am FBI Agent, he is my subordinate agent Sid” Agent introduce himself and Sid and they showed their FBI badges.

“Agent, do you not have a name?” Max was suspicions since Agent didn’t tell him his name.

“Ah that, don’t worry about that just call me Agent, everyone is calling me that”

Agent replied with small smile and in his mind was thinking “how can I tell you my name, since I don’t have one”.

Max wasn’t satisfied with answers, but since their identity were checked by police he couldn’t asked him why he doesn’t want to reveal his name and instead asked something else.

“So what FBI wants, I already told everything to police”

“Nothing special, I just want in person heard what happen, special what Gael may said before he lost his mind” Agent politely asked Max.

“What he said? I already told that to police, but they didn’t know anything about that dealer. Wait a second, could that FBI know something, is that why are you here?

“Hmm, not exactly, we do have some info about someone making deals, but we do not have any evidence that is the same person.

Just looking at time when few deals happened is telling us that is impossible that those deals could be done by same person and generally those deals are completely different, but it may be possible that one or two are done by same person”

Agent replied with little lie. In truth “he” (dealer) could cover distance between his deals in no time, and what kind of deal he made is completely depending on person who wants a deal.

Max was disappointed at Agent reply since he wanted more information about dealer.

“Is that so, is there any info about dealer who perhaps forced Gael to kill his family”?

“Nothing, just that he is going from place to place making nasty deals”.

Agent answered and decide to leave, since Max obvious didn’t know anything about “him”, he excused himself and leave with Sid to airport where they have jet waiting for them.

After agents leave Max decide to go home with his mother. On the way to home he remember that Gael was last week very busy visiting a lot of places. When he think a bit more, he realized that Gael may not just visiting other places but searching for something or someone. Perhaps someone who could make his problem go away, Max conclude and decided to leave mother at home.

When he leave mother at home he call few Gael friend and find out that of places Gael visited last week were mostly restaurants and few clubs. Since there were just few club he decided to check them first, but unfortunately, he didn’t find anything in them. With restaurants he had more problems since they were almost all fancy restaurants and very expensive. A few he couldn’t check so he needed to buy better suit. After he bought new suit he checked few last restaurants without success and so he went to check few more restaurants that Gael didn’t visited.

In the last restaurants before the last one, he intended additional to check. In a corner for VIP guest he notice a group of people. Most of them were standing behind a table with fancy suits and all wore sunglasses as they were some kind group of mobsters. Only one was sitting at the table and eating food, he wore even more fancy and expensive suit, sunglasses, watch, tie, and other things. He was medium build perhaps with bit smaller height and with dark hair. Immediately after Max notice him, he knew that he find out what he was searching and he went to his table.

When man at the table notice that Max come to table, he stopped eating started talking to him.

“Ho, welcome Max, sit here and eat some food it’s very good, even for me”.

“Wh... What you know who I am”?

“Sure, Lara boyfriend”.

“W… What, of course not, we were just friends, if you know that then you are the one who force Gael to take a deal that forced him to kill his family”! Max yelled few last word, because he was now sure who is right in front of him.

“Forced? I never force anybody to take a deal”.

“Nonsense, he would never take that kind of deal on his own!”

“Ah, that is own guilt, for not asking what exactly I wanted for exchange”

At those word Max anger reached the maximum and he yelled.

“Are you crazy, what kind of deals are you makings, there is no way that bit of money can be worth his whole family!”

“Oh, I don’t care about material value, it is very much simpler in exchange for something they want I required something I want.

And what I like the most is suffering and killing” he answered with sinister voice and smile appeared on his face.

Max skin become very pale, when he heard his answer and saw his smile, he needed all his strength for reply.

“That is impossible, just because you like watching suffering of other people, you are killing them!”

“I am not killing those people, those who make deal with me, are then killing those people and is their choice to do or not. Also there is a lot of those who make deals with me, even when they know all details and price for it.”

“No way that anybody would make that kind of deal while aware of consequences” Max denied “his” answer.

“Really? I am sure that even you would made that kind of deal with me. Actually I have very nice deal to offer you” he said with sweet voice.

“Never, I wouldn’t make that kind of deal no matter what!”

“Heh, even if I offer you Lara life” he said with smile and tampering voice.

“Impossible, she is dead, and what kind of dealer are you to offering impossible” Max yelled so strong that he almost lost his voice.

“Dealer? Oh that’s right you still don’t’ know how I am called.”

“What” was only word Max could said because of sudden change of topic

“Surprised? Not that I can blame you for that, since how I am really called is not much different, it is a Soul Seller”

“What? soul seller?”

“Exactly, I am called that because those who make deal with me, practical sell their soul to me. Since because of deal, they suffer so much that they always almost lost their souls.”

“What are you saying” was Max becoming even more paler.

Soul Seller smiled at his word as he ignore them.

“Ah that’s right, you second question that Lara is already dead, no way. Do you know when somebody die, huh? When they lost their bodies or their soul?

The latest is correct answer, of course normally when body die, soul go forward to next world. But there also exist few tricks to prevent that. Since I expected that Gael may lost his mind, I use few of them for next deal, because I noticed yours and Lara feelings and I know that you would do anything for her”.

At those word Max started trembling. He didn’t wanted to believe those words but for some reason he knew that he didn’t tell any lie. Max tried to said something but he couldn’t.

Soul Seller notice that and continued speaking about deal.

“Of course there is also price, but it isn’t anything special. It is very simple for every day of her life you will need to take someone else life, very simple right?

But since looks like that this will keep you very busy, I can also offer you little discount. For example if you kill girl similar to Lara it will count for three days and if you made those girls lost their will to live before you kill them, it will count for whole week”.

Soul Seller was saying that to Max with very sinister and temping voice.

Max was trembling even more and his face become completely pale. Because this deal was truly tempting for him. Even if he would need to kill many people, Lara was to him everything. If she really could come back to life he would do anything, but there is no guaranty that he didn’t tell any lie. Max took another look on Soul Seller face and saw his sinister smile, but for some reason he again know that he wasn’t telling any lie but nothing except the truth. After few moments Max could finally open his mouth and said only one word.

“Deal”.
