Humming quietly as the cloaked figure walked throughout the halls of the royal castle, her bloodstained black cloak fluttered gently with each step she took within the castles halls.
As she approached two guards that held halberds in hand, she lowered the cowl of her hood, revealing her clouded white hair and darkened white eyes. Even though her face was smooth, and chin sleek, she had hidden her appearance for good reason. She held the appearance of a Dark Hero.
Although their job was to guard this door with their lives, they couldn’t help but freeze at the girls appearance. Their heads, turning slowly while trembling, fixated on the girls face. Not only were they trapped by the girls appearance due to her beauty, but because of the slow realization of what being stood before them. Although by their expression, you could see that one of them was trying to come to a reasonable conclusion that resulted in her not being a threat to mankind, his own face, which was distorted in consternation, betrayed his attempt at logical thinking.
“H-halt!” Just as the younger guard had shaken out of her captivating face, and had spoken, the corners of his mouth split open simultaneously, tracing to the back of his mouth.
All the tendons which held his jaw up became limp as they were separated from each other, his yellowish teeth, although visible for a second, were flooded with the gushing of blood, staining them crimson. Due to the immense amount of blood and his realization that he’d most likely die today engulfed his mind, his body collapsed from the combination of blood loss and shock.
Although the slitting and cutting open of his mouth seemed to be instant and magic, it was simply the sheer force of her small and delicate hand, which was barely covered in any blood from his mouth.
“Could it be you don’t know who I am?” Licking the small traces of blood from her fingernail with one swift lick, she drew her hand back slowly, and then drove it through the chest of the other guard.
By the time he had realized what had happen, her hand and arm had finished ripping through the magic imbued armor chest piece, taking his pulsating heart with it, crushing it a few seconds after it exited his body.
“A shame, really… I had expected you to… fight back? It’s sooo boring when you just die like that..” Lifting her foot up, just enough for it to rest on his head, she pushed down slowly. Although the ground cracked slightly as his skull was crushed, his screams were silenced by the blood pool in his mouth. And not that long after the popping of his skull echoed throughout the marble hall, his conscious left this world.
Reaching in the air and grabbing a black book, which came out from a portal which appeared in synchronization with her hand, she pressed it against the stone door the deceased guards had been guarding, dissolving the door into the book.
Letting go of the corrupted book, it dissolved into the air, just as the door did.
Taking a few steps into the dark room, a sound resembling that of glass shattering came from within the room as she stepped in.
“A defensive barrier.. Sadly, it wasn’t strong enough for me.” Shrugging as though the high level physical barrier, which she had just walked through with ease, was nothing but low level magic, she stepped towards a pedestal. A crimson pillow with golden lacing sat on top of this pedestal, as well as a black cloth that rested under the pillow.
On top of this pillow, a dark purple egg rested.

Multiple metal pins protruded from all over its body. These pins were the kind that would slow down the hatching of an egg by a extensive amount of time with just one. But this egg held five or six. She couldn’t tell due to the fact only a few candles sat in this room, and the candles that were emitting light only emitted a small amount.
Detaching her cloak and then letting it fall beneath her, she drew her rapier back, and then cut the air in front of her with two slashes, one going vertical and the other horizontal. Just a few seconds after she had sliced the air, two bodies, which were covered by a cloak similar to her own, dropped to the floor.
Sighing due to the nonexistent fight they had put up, she stepped over the two motionless assassins and then grabbed the egg. As she grabbed the purple egg and had begun her examination on it, to make sure it wasn’t a fake, a distant flame lit up in the courtyard.
Perhaps to a peasant this would look like an attempt at arson, but to those with an education, they'd easily be able to tell this was the flame of a fire caster. Most likely a royal magic caster sent by the kingdom to suppress the Dark Hero menace.
“Oh...? I didn't expect this to happen. But, whatever, I can handle it." Walking towards the window, in which the flames light emitted through, she only managed a few steps towards the window after exiting the eggs prison before she was blown away by a surge of fire rushing into the building, shattering the one window she was walking towards with the rapid increase in heat.
But... although the heat that the fire produced was definitely hot, it seems incapable of scorching the ground or the walls it touched.
"Maybe... no, no, no,if I leave now I won't be able to take the egg with me.." Although doubt on whether she should stay and fight this caster, or run away, entered her mind, her will power suppressed her own doubts.
Not only had this fire caster, which had yet to be seen, successfully surprised her with a high level attack, they had enough control of their fire to keep it from scorching its surroundings. Most likely twenty of twenty five, judging from the color of their fire.
“I think I’ll just take the egg…” Turning around, just as a figure flew into the flames from the garden, the Dark Hero had the egg in their grasp, ready to escape whatever fate would fall upon her if she tried to fight the magic caster that stood in the flames in front of her.
Agility focused Dark Heros like her could easily handle thirty town guards and fifteen royal guards, but when it came to magic casters, the tide was shifted in favor of the magic caster, since they can make a barrier around themselves and make it so their enemy cannot run, either by webbing or destroying their legs.
“Leaving so soon?” A male voice gently echoed to the Dark Hero, and following his voice came an androgynous person, who wore the white and red standard equipment for a royal fire magic caster, as well as the kingdoms crest on their right shoulder.
“Sadly, yes. Now, if I may, I will be taking my prize, as well as my life.” Pulling a blue book out from the air, while holding the purple egg under her left arm, she opened the book.
“That’s a teleportation scroll… one time use… damnit..” Sedating the flames behind him, he raised his hands to rub his temples in frustration.
The book she had used brought her to her home, which was more or less a dump. Potions scattered left and right, books thrown all over the floor, wands and staffs broken, alchemy ingredients divided on tables, and a unmade bed.
But, she clearly didn’t care about the horrid state her room, or should I say house, was in, considering she sat the egg on her own bed and then began to pull the pins off of it.
After a few minutes of carefully pulling the needles out from the egg, she lifted the egg and then sat it on top of her alchemy table and then dripped a red liquid over it.
In reaction to the liquid, the egg glowed red for a few seconds, before emitting a green light.
“So it worked…” Sighing in relief, as though she had expected a different outcome, she jumped onto her bed and then snapped her fingers, causing all the ingredients scattered around her room to go back into their respectable containers, and the potions began refiling and started to place themselves on top of shelves that had finished repairing themselves.
“And now… we wait... “ Closing her eyes, she detached her belt buckle, which held her rapier, and tossed it onto the floor, and then turned over on her side.
“Wait… where's my cloak..?”
