Capter 1: learning

Capter 1: learning

For the first time in his life, Lumithar saw a vast field of grass, with a village in the distance.

"So, in the distance is the village. I remember that my mom used to buy things from there and tell me about how the village was," Lumithar remarked.

Lumithar was heading toward the village.

"Wow, what are these huge things?" he wondered aloud.

While Lumithar was staring at the houses, a man around 40 years old noticed him and approached Lumithar.

"???: Hey there, kid."

"Lumithar: Huh? Oh, hello. You are a human. Wow!"

"???: Huh? Of course, I am a human... What else could I be? Putting that aside, I've never seen you around here before. Who are you, kid?"

"Lumithar: I am Lumithar. It's my first time leaving the forest."

"???: The forest? Are you crazy, kid? How could a kid live in that hell of a forest... Where are your parents?"

"Lumithar: They died when I was 5 years old."

"???: It's very hard to believe that you lived in that forest without any help, but it doesn't matter now. From what I see, you are hungry and don't have any clothes. So, follow me. I will give you something to eat and some clothes. Also, my name is Kuru."

"Lumithar: Nice to meet you, Mr. Kuru."

"Kuru: Now, follow me. After you eat and change your clothes, we will go meet the elder. We need to decide what to do with you. We can't just let a kid go around like that without anywhere to stay..."

After finishing the food and changing his clothes, they met the elder of the village. They decided to let Lumithar live in the village, providing him with food and clothes, but he would have to work at the inn. The inn would also give him a room to stay in.

"While Lumithar was in the village, he learned a lot about the world. It seemed that the world was filled with monsters, but there also existed mages and adventurers to protect humans from these monsters. He learned that there were different kinds of powers, but all of them worked with mana; the more mana you had, the more powerful your abilities were.

"Well, it's time for me to leave the village. I've learned a lot in these four months, and I have some money saved up. I'm heading to the nearest guild; I want to become an adventurer. It will help me a lot while I search for the man my mom told me to find."
