Chapter 122.1
Technomancer in MCU
“Okay, that was, uh,” Tony began stuttering as he took in the prowess of someone who he had never even seen before. It was honestly very intimidating for him.
“--Scary?” Bruce Banner piped in as all of them floated away from the very dangerous, very green, very deathly spike that had once again pierced through a platform that all of them were standing on.
“Yeah, scary. That was the word I was looking for,” Stark said as he continued to pour over the scans that his suit had made of the attacks that the “Daisy” person had used. The first time, she had just waved her arms, and voila, Hela had to create shields which didn’t help much. Even her scary pet Wolf had been shredded but it was not as if that helped them a lot. Soon, she took out some weird flames and put them on her wolf, somehow making him seem more real. Then, that wolf just straight up began running towards them. He was hoping for Daisy to handle the wolf but she became busy with the huge spike that just never seemed to give up. Now, they were all scattered away, and yet, they were not yet at the stage where all of them had to fight her at the same time. Their main objective was to stall for Hela. He was sure that they were going to wait for Hela to make the first move but this Daisy person launched that disintegration wave of compressed vibrations without any provocation from Hela. He was about to ask her but the chance was gone from his hands as the two giants that were standing guard beside Hela began to move as well and apparently, he was now on Giant Duty. As evidenced by the orders of the Commander.
“Stark, take care of those giants. They will most probably regenerate endlessly,” Frank Castle, some retired special forces guy who had ghosted out of service ordered him. Apparently, Ed had the habit of stealing talented guys from the government. Who knows who else has been working under him, secretively from the rest of the world?
Nevertheless, he was given his orders and he was itching to try out his sick new armour as well so he obliged gladly. Starting with some hard light sharp projections, he shot some swords into those giants, only for said swords to get logged into their fat bodies and then slowly disintegrate as dark green liquid seemed to seep out the giants’ wounds. Said wounds healed soon after. “Ok, so this is going to be problematic,” Stark muttered as he continued to pepper the giants with all the different weapons he had installed in his suit but most of them seemed to only do surface-level damage that was repaired soon after. Only concentrated repulsion fire from his Arc Reactor seemed to leave lasting damage but at the rate he was going, he would need three Arc Reactors for both of the giants. That was without taking into account the rest of the systems. Ah, he was going to have to whip it out so soon. He was hoping to wait until the end but..” Jarvis, take out the babysitter, will you?”
“Affirmative, sir,” With that single acknowledgment from Jarvis, something shot out of the overhead carrier ships, eventually revealing itself to be a small rectangular box that seemed to melt and fuse over his current armour, eventually revealing the babysitter model suit, made to babysit the strongest creatures he had read about, in Alfred’s logs about the universe.
Meanwhile, Frank had sighed and just deactivated the flying capabilities of BAnner’s suit and had him land down straight in the path of Fenrir. Dr.Banner gave Frank a betrayed look that soon turned into an understanding look as he began turning green before he was pushed off the bridge by Fenrir’s snoot, mid-transformation. Fenrir was about to rush forward before he was stopped by a roar that resounded throughout the battlefield. Hela who was standing on top of one of her spikes, heading straight to Daisy, paused midway as well as she felt the bubbling aura of overwhelming rage just vaporise the surrounding water as the Hulk jumped out of the water and went straight through the rainbow bridge, smashing his fist in the jaw of Fenrir, shooting him straight into the Hela’s spike, breaking it in half. The Hulk landed on the bridge and after taking one look at Hela, roared in rage and just jumped at her. Hela, not wanting to tangle with the dangerous beast, just conjured a spike from behind Hulk and impaled him with it. The Hulk looked at his torso where a spike made up of death energy was swiftly trying to corrode his body but his innate powers continued to keep them at bay. The Hulk immediately began struggling and roaring in pain as the struggle continued to tear apart his body.
In the meanwhile, Daisy finally struck out at Hela as her body and armour, boosted by the occasional bursts of waves of vibrations continued to battle Hela. Hela’s conjurations seemed to easily tear through the armour but never seemed to draw blood because of a layer of disintegrating vibrations that continued to protect Daisy. The armour, too, after being shredded to bits, reformed to once again form a blanket that absorbed all physical blows.
“I am itching for battle and yet, you keep me here. How long until I can have my battle, Frank of the Castles?” Thor growled out the question at Frank who was keeping both the brothers at bay, disallowing them from participating in the battle just yet. Loki was easy enough to convince. He was more worried about the implications of the battle and how their parents had not come out yet. Loki’s clones were also intermingled into the battle going on below so he was also aware of the ground reality and how effective Ed’s armours were in making sure that there were zero casualties among the Asgardian soldiers. Thor, on the other hand, was much more restless for some reason. Frank was aware that Odin was going to die sometime between the ritual and for Hela to have come out so soon, it meant that Odin was no longer with them. Thor, the one with the most attunement to the Odin Force, must have felt it. The disappearance of something. He was very angry, very unstable, and very emotional at the moment and yet, they could not afford to have him go all Thor on Hela. In her current state, she would most probably defeat him and destroy Mjolnir which was undesirable. What they needed was THor’s powers to be used in conjunction with Collin’s power to store and amplify electricity, even from Thunder. Even now, Collin was standing atop one of the carriers and absorbing the lightning that was rumbling all over Asgard in response to Thor's anger.
The narrative has been taken without permission. Report any sightings.
“Wait, Prince Thor, we must have patience if the ritual is to succeed,” Frank warned Thor who just huffed as he clenched Mjolnir with his one hand and held onto the other weapon made for him with his other hand. It was a long axe made up of vibranium alloy, capable of absorbing untold amounts of energy and then giving it out at will. Currently, Thor was channeling all of his energy into that axe so that when the time came, Thor would hit Hela with the biggest lightning bolt in the history of lightning bolts, disorienting her long enough for their nanites to actually do some lasting damage and restrain her. The boys in the lab had come up with something that might hold up to her corrosive energy and actually immobilise her completely but they were not yet sure of that working so that was kept as a last resort.
For the moment, Daisy was responsible for keeping Hela occupied, at least until her suit worn down or Hela got strong enough to overwhelm her. Yes, the reason Daisy was able to contend with Hela at the moment was because her suit was amplifying her abilities and covering her weaknesses. Daisy would be able to create attacks of such destructive nature that even Hela would have her body shredded but even a single slash of Hela’s weapons could kill her, not to mention that Daisy would have to time the attack perfectly, which seemed to not work because of Hela’s impeccable instincts along with her enhanced senses now that she was on Asgard.
Hulk had freed himself off the spike and was duking it out with Fenrir even while his torso was being healed slowly because of the death energy in the wound hindering his healing ability. Meanwhile, Fenrir had already recovered from his broken jaw and was biting and scratching at Hulk’s exposed wound in his stomach in order to keep Hulk from exerting his full power. Fenrir, connected to Hela’s energy, was also growing stronger at the same rate that Hela was, making him the perfect opponent for someone like the Hulk, who also grew stronger the angrier he got.
Meanwhile, Stark had actually managed to take down one of the giants but the results were not pretty. His suit had been partially shredded along with his Arc Reactors having blown out due to the sheer power output he had subjected them to. He seemed to be running on his last reserves only for another rectangular box to just launch itself at him, revealing Stark to have donned another armour of the same Babysitter moniker, ready to duke it out with the second Giant as well.
From the looks of it, Daisy was just about to get exhausted and injured by Hela when Frank jumped in the fray as well and exerted his power nullification abilities on Hela, making her actually pause in shock as she felt her body weaken immensely at that. “Take that, bitch,” Daisy grinned smugly under her mask and hit Hela point blank with her disintegration wave, blasting her straight to the observatory housing.
Fenrir whimpered as he too felt the pain from his Master but he never got the chance to do anything about it because Hulk took hold of his jaws and just threw him to the void, his wounds finally having enough reprieve for them to heal properly. Just before Fenrir was actually about to be thrown into the void surrounding Asgard, a green spike stabbed him through his torso, holding him in place and bringing him back to the Observatory. Despite the immense pain that Fenrir was under, he seemed happy to be back with his master. Besides, the wounds healed soon enough, leaving behind unblemished fur.
The dust soon settled down, showing Hela having fallen down to one knee, dark red blood dripping from her wounds and yet, the green aura surrounding her continued to increase. It strengthened to the point that even the metal surrounding the Observatory began to wither away.
Before Frank or Daisy could continue their assault, Hela raised her head and snarled, “Enough!”. A tidal wave of death energy radiated out of her, raising even more Giants, wolves, and skeletons out of not just the water under the bridge, but also from under the marketplaces, through the houses, and even through the lakes that littered Asgard. Now, it had gotten tricky as the Allied army was being assaulted from both sides. It had already claimed its first casualty from the battle as one of the soldiers had his armour overwhelmed before he was just teleported back to the medical department of the carriers floating above. Thor had been assured by Frank that nothing would happen to them as they had contingencies in place for that scenario but he and even Loki were getting anxious about the current scenario. Yet, they were still not given the signal to fight with Hela.
