Teary Nature

As the night crumbles over the blankets, her head turns to the side. The view of her window seemed eerie and cold, so distant yet familiar. Disconnected from the world again, she turned back to the bright monitor in front of her. The cat walked back into the room and just sat on the bed, staring at the owner. Her messy hair tangled her headphones, the baggy shirt covering every inch of her body and some cozy slippers were the same portrait to the cat. She hummed to the music and calmed down the muscles in her brain. But that wouldn’t last long, since the overdoing escape can turn into reality again. So, after a few tics on the clock, her memories would flow in her mind and put her in misery. Glass-like drops would fall down her red cheeks, and by then the cat would walk up to her to calm her. This made her sob loudly because the only thing that showed remorse was an animal. Hugging the cat, the tears would get louder and with each drop, it would fill her room with her own grief and hatred.

Her entering another reality, her own by drowning in real life was what felt magical for her. Her falling asleep on the floor and then levitated when the waters filled the room looked like she achieved what she wanted. Her beating eyelashes were the first thing that she saw, before realizing that she was in fact, where she wanted to be. Nature surrounding her and a lot of animals singing for her arrival. The wind caresses her locks and detangles each stress spot, making her the beauty of nature. The sun would touch lightly on her delicate skin, and the water that buzzed next to her would cool off the heat. Chirping birds would fly over to her shoulder and sing her a lullaby. And she would finally, smile once again. Her getting up from the grass that tickled before for her to wake up felt lonely, but happy that she did something about it. Her barefoot would touch upon anything that the ground beneath her offered. Grass, flowers, insects, anything really, she just wanted to breathe again. And by the end of the area, her cat would study her high up on the tree branch. Waiting for her signal to move forward, the cat counted the lives she had left. Sadly, for her, this was the last one remaining, and knowing her, she couldn’t wait to take it. So much of something calming, deep inside a forest was a core of the energy. The deep hollows of the ocean created the so-called life on this side. This was the day she had to go up to the Hallows again and receive her fate. She didn’t know what was going to happen, but everything around her knew.

They were trying to seem how they usually were, but they were sad by the bitter truth. The animals would tug the girl away from the place she had to go to. She would giggle and cuddle each one of them, filled with joy that everyone missed her. Words couldn’t describe how she felt like she was meant to be there. Finally, being somewhere where everything seemed to accept her for who she was. But her foolish colors of the heart manipulated the eyes and silencing the mind to it. The colors were the trap and her demise. Walking by the river close to her, she continued her journey to the place she loved as well. The sea where she would swim in and wait to be turned into a mermaid. Counting the days when her legs would twist and turn to scale like tale. Her grin on the face saddened the sun above her, and the ground under her. Nature that surrounded her seemed to turn into autumn colors, and yet she was still blind to all of it. It seemed that Nature did try to warn, but the beauty in her death overtook the whole point of what it was trying to say. The cat behind her stopped to walk into her feet, along with purring, and just accepted it will be reincarnated as well. So, with this, the beautiful and troubled maiden walked further into the depth of the forest and entered the lair. Water in the Hallows looked clear and lively. Decorated with cute small and colorful fish, swimming closer to her as possible they could. The girl stopped in her tracks and took in a deep breath, before speaking to the water again. “Today is the day, you go back where you originated from.” was what the Water said, happily creating small waves to touch her feet. The girl's eyes sparkled in joy and before running to her joy, she looked behind her once more. And to her surprise, everything seemed dead already. The leaves fell off, and the animals stared at her from afar. Her cat was the only one beside her by the end of her life and she was thankful. Picking up the cuddly creature, the girl hugged her for the last time and kissed her head. “I’ll see you in the waters.” That was what she said to her cat, and the cat nodded. Stripping off her white dress, she walked into the waters. Sudden flowing colors surrounded her legs, and the waves pushed her deeper into the water. Once deep enough, she felt pain in her legs, but managed, because that’s what she wanted. And just when she got the mermaid tail, everything behind her seemed to drift away. Going away made her tears flow again, embracing the last strand of her creation. Happily crying she dived in the water and stayed there for eternity. And the harsh reality from her was just a picture of a girl in the room passed out while crying while holding a dead cat.
