Far off, in an unknown place, five great beings sit before each other, silently pondering to themselves.
After a short while, the largest among them stirs, clearing it's long, winding throat.
"It seems the rest won't be joining us this time, as usual. Shall we begin?"
The rest nod in affirmation.
The large being clears it's throat once again before beginning to speak, "as I'm sure we're all well aware of, there was recently a change to the system that rules this world. This change is completely unprecedented, as it is not a mere tweak, as we've all seen before, rather, it is a completely new addition. It is not hard to predict such a change causing great unrest, especially among the sapient races. This meeting has been called to discuss possible actions that we may take to react to this change. Would anyone like to start us off?"
A young looking man lazily raises his hand, not waiting for approval before speaking, "do we gotta do anything, really?"
The large being instantly retorts, "of course we must! If left alone, this could completely upturn the world as we know it! To allow any creature to obtain any skill it may desire, simply by knowing what it's called- its utter madness!"
A cloaked figure raises their hand slowly.
A heavily armored man next to them takes notice, and leans in to allow them to whisper in his ear.
After listening to them, he clears his throat to get the others to quiet down, and begins to speak.
"Shade says they believe it would be best to learn more about the addition before taking action regarding it."
"And what do you think, Gunther?" the large being replies to the armored man.

"I agree that something must be done to prevent chaos from breaking out among sapient races. I've already put some measures in place among the human territories I control to prevent the worst."
"I see." the large being thinks for a moment, before speaking once more, "I can attempt to break into the system and forcefully revert the change."
The lazy man sits up fast, shocked.
"What're you talking about?! Are you crazy?!"
The large being slams one of it's great hands onto the table, silencing the lazy man.
"It simply must be done, for the sake of the world's balance!"
A woman who almost seems to be glowing snaps her fingers, calling the attention of the table to herself.
"And you think you will be allowed to do such a thing? As you said, this is not a mere tweak. If you try to remove this addition, then you will risk angering who or whatever added it. Despite laboring for so long, we've yet to discover who truly pulls the strings of our world. Would you be willing to risk angering such an unknown, when they will most likely be fully able to simply re-add the feature, given you're able to successfully remove it?"
"I-"
"Please, do not misunderstand. I understand as well as anyone how worrying such a situation is. But that is precisely why we cannot afford to be rash in our actions."
"I understand. Forgive me, I wasn't thinking."
The lazy man chuckles, and whispers under his breath, "like usual."
The large being slams it's hand down once again, and screams into the face of the lazy man, "what did you just say?!"
"Woah woah woah, easy big guy! It was just a joke! A joke!"
"Ahem!" the glowing woman once again draws attention back to herself.
"Clearly, we are not ready to discuss this yet. I propose we all head to our chambers and take a day to think this over more carefully, then meet back here in the morning."
The armored man stands and stretches, his armor making a loud noise with each movement.
"Apologies, but I can't stay here any longer. I must return to my people. They need me, thanks to this situation. I hope to see you all soon."
The armored man walks out, leaving just four remaining.
The lazy man once again whispers under his breath, this time slandering the armored man, "greedy fucker, only cares about his people for their money."
Sighing loudly, the large being stands up.
"I agree with your idea, Dahlia. I hope to see the remaining three of you tomorrow."
With that, the large being spreads it's great wings and flies out of the hole above them.
None exchange any words after this, the great beings each simply stand up and walk away, keeping to themselves.
