Chapter 4.5

I have been following this human all this morning

"Achoo! Shit, it's cold!"

It was a human named Ken Kazutoki. My master told me to bring him to her but it only confused me. I did not see a single redeeming thing about this human.

*—————*

I watched my master as she pushed the human through a portal. One that leads to another world.

"Uwaaaah, I'm tired! I hope he doesn't hate me for that."

My master stretched and yawned as the portal closes behind her.

"Ah, Millé!"

She found me.

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

My master comes over to pick me up. I have no rights to refuse her but I would like her to be more gentle with it.

"Thank you Millé. I couldn't have done it without you." She strokes me by my head. This one I can accept.

What did you do to him?

I recall how the human writhed in pain as my master did something to his eyes. As her servant, I do not know everything about what my master can do.

"Hmm, you could say I gave him 5% of my power."

5%? That is pitifully low for what he endured. But if that is what my master willed, I would not question that any further.

"Do you think he would hate me? I think I had a bad job at explaining it to him…" She started stroking me behind my back, I could feel her worry with the slide of her hand.

Calling it a bad job of explaining would be an understatement, I watched it all unfold and master did not even gave a single good reason to the human.

But I do not need to tell her that, I am in no place to point out her mistakes.

Did you saw something in the future?

My master is the goddess of time, the full extent of her powers is beyond my understanding but a single premonition would be simple for her.

"Who knows?"

My master calmfully said as she closes her eyes.

"I just thought it would be interesting. It's all for my own amusement in the end."

What about the sword of Chrono?

The black chain that covered her arm for so long is gone. Master gave it to the human before he fell down.

"Like I said, it might make it more interesting you know? Besides she's popular there."

The she my master speaks of is the spirit living inside the chain. I have not interacted with the spirit at all, I have a feeling it would not be a good experience for myself.

"It's up for her to decide if whether she wants to help Ken or not. But I imagine it would end up quite well."

My master looks up toward the sky.

"The road to your fate is laid down, I wonder if you will decide to follow it Ken?"
