Chapter 4: Lucius Valendris

Lucius Valendris appeared in a narrow clearing, fully illuminated by the alien sun. Lucius had no direct comparison to others, but he knew his stats and class were exceptional, especially with the title of Blood Knight. Clad in dark, blood-stained armor, Blood Knights were masters of combat, channeling the power of blood to enhance their strength and endurance. They could draw life force from their enemies, using it to heal their wounds and replenish their energy. Each strike they made was deadly, their blades infused with the essence of their foes.

In the vampire world, Blood Knights were symbols of dominance and power. Their mastery of blood magic made them formidable on any battlefield, feared by all who dared oppose them. For Lucius, this strength represented something even more important: an opportunity to rise above the weaker reputation of his family.

The Velandris clan, though of royal blood, had long been regarded as one of the lesser families. Their lineage stretched back to ancient times, but they had suffered centuries of setbacks. Now, Lucius had a chance to change everything. In this new world, power was the only thing that mattered. His family would rise, and the stronger clans that had looked down on them would be forced to bow.

"No more negotiations. No more bowing," Lucius thought, his eyes gleaming with hatred.

He glanced at the two vampires who had spawned with him on the third stage of the tutorial. They were, naturally, inferior to him. They weren’t even from royal families, despite having uncommon classes.

"Master Valendris, what are your orders?" asked Valerian, one of the vampires, bowing deeply.

Lucius smiled inwardly. At least they knew their place. With a calm but commanding tone, he responded, "Scout the area. We’ll start hunting beasts soon. Any specific information on the elves? They may be the only ones who can challenge us."

"No, Master Valendris. Only that they’re ruled by an elven king," Valerian replied submissively, still bowing deeply.

"I don’t like the lack of information, but we’ll deal with it," Lucius said, nodding. His goal was simple: collect 50,000 credits and advance to the fourth stage. With that, the three vampires vanished into the shadows, ready to hunt.
