It is the year 2084, and the world has changed greatly. Led by a corporation known as The Company, the world made major advances in the fields of science and technology. Releasing technology well beyond the times was what The Company was well known to do as well as the reason as to why The Company had managed to absorb and buy out all the other technology business that existed in the early twenty first century.

The man that made all this possible was the Head of the Research and Development of The Company, a person that known to the world as The Professor. All the projects that had attributed to the success of The Company had come out of the labs of The Professor. It was a well-known secret among the board members of The Company that the corporation was secretly controlled by The Professor, whereas the President of The Company was simply a figurehead. However, nobody had ever dared to argue with the decisions of The Professor. 

Gazing over the city from his personal skyscraper in New York City, The Professor was pondering an endless number of thoughts in his office on the top floor in the dark. A sudden ring shook him out of his thoughts. The Professor glanced across the room at one of the full touchscreens and said in a cold voice, "Answer Call."

The entire back wall instantly lit up revealing the face of The Professor's secretary. "What is it?" The Professor asked. 

"Sir, Project Codename Final 0 has been completed. All things are ready for the launch. Shall we start?" the secretary asked. 

"Oh? That's a pleasant surprise. I suppose then that it is now time. The world shall now enter a new era. As for where it shall go, I shall make no more interventions. Things will take their natural due course. Deploy Project Final 0 now. Leave deployment to the AIs." The Professor said in his cold, calm voice. Unnoticed by anyone else, the tiniest signs of a grin could be seen on the corners of the Professor's mouth. 

"As you command sir." The secretary replied before hanging up.

As the room went dark once again, The Professor turned his rolling chair around to once more face the skyline through the wall sized window, and murmured, "At last, the project I've spent 60 years developing has come to fruition. I've spent 30% of all The Company's revenue every year for the past 60 years to make this dream come true. Where will the world go from here? Even I do not know."

A soft chuckle echoed through the room, as The Professor said quietly, "I will now remain an observer, but I cannot wait to see where the world will go without my guidance." 

The Professor stood up after a minute and walked out the automatic opening doors, and the room became dark and silent once more.
