It was the crack of dawn, the light shining through cracks of the curtains that blocked the room from receiving. The day has only started and already the occupant of this room already wants it to end as they laid in their queen sized bed in the center of the room. A knock could be heard with someone calling: "Lady Taiyo, are you awake?" It was a soft feminine voice. "Your father said I could enter if you don't answer." The owner of the voice then entered, it was a female owl Pangeans in a maid uniform, she walked to the blinds to open them, flooding the room with light.
"AH! Mrs. Locke, it's too early, could I sleep in?" The lady in bed, most likely named Taiyo, said as she rose from bed, a Golden Phoenix Pangeans. Despite her seemingly young age, she was a very curvy young woman. "I mean, most of my classes at school were canceled for the day, can I just skip?"
Mrs. Locke shook her head as she replied, "I'm afraid not, you still have some magic and educational lessons your mother wants you to do, such as playing the violin, you love it."
"Yeah, it helps me calm down..." Taiyo then gets out of her bed before walking into a large walk-in closet before walking out fully clothed. She then walked to a vanity where she wanted to do her own makeup and trim her feather but the maid just started to help without asking, she wanted to tell them she could do it herself but they probably wouldn't listen.
After getting ready for the day she exited her room, she walked down the hall of a rather large home with an eastern aesthetic to it. She passed two other avians who were also walking down the hall, they bowed their heads as a sign of respect. She then pointed and tilted her head, she didn't like having be respected when she didn't deserve it, he then raised her left wing and sent it back words as an elbowing mosting to his something behind her, or rather someone right in the gut only for her to feel a slight pain as it felt like she hit a wall. "Ow..."
"Oh crap, sorry Lady Taiyo..." Said the voice of a rather tall muscular avian Pangean, a crow Pangean with onyx black feathers wearing a red suit. "But maybe not hit your bodyguard." The crow said in a playful tone.
"Like anything hurts you, Junfuku." Taiyo said, rubbing her elbow. "Have you seen my sister?"
"Hmm, Lady Chi is still resting I believe..." Junfuku then walked with her as she was going down the halls. "So... Do you want to go to the library again later?"
"I would like that, thank you Junfuku--" Taiyo then stopped as they heard an argument.
"Damn those wolves!" She stopped to see a door opened by a crack inside were several avian Pangeans, some sitting at desks doing paperwork. "I swear some of them are getting close to our territory to piss us all off!"
"Calm down kid, they're doing their job and patrolling the Cherryton for thugs who thinks they own the neutral area, as long as they stay out Eleanoria we don't need to start anything. " Another older Avian Pangean announced.
"Still, I bet some of the canines in the city are apart of them--"
"Oh here we go again-- Not every dog is a part of the Silver Pack! We're not going around kicking doors down then removing dogs again, last time was near hell for this city, you maybe young but I remember those mistakes we made." Before they could continue, Junfuku swung the door open, surprising everyone who stood up and bowed their heads to the crow. "Good Morning, Junfuku!"
"Hello everyone, keeping busy?" Junfuku said to them in a playful tone before changing to a serious one with a cold stare in his eyes. "If you're going to talk about work, keep the doors closed so no one over hears, and he is right, not every dog is a Silver Wolf." He then closed the door, turn back to Taiyo who started to got back to walking. "Sorry you heard all that Lady Taiyo, I'll have another word with them, I know you don't like talking about our work... But one day you will have to face it and--"
"I don't want to talk about it!"" Taiyo shouts at him, making him step back. She then walked forward some more before reaching another room. She knocked on the door for whoever was inside to hear and announced: "Chi, can you walk up and come out now?" She had no response. "Um... I'm going to the library, you want to come with me?" No response, she grew worried before closing her eyes before reopening them, glowing a golden color, she could see behind the door and the aura of someone behind the door, it was a cold white color, her sister, signing in relife. "If you want to come just open the door..."
For what felt like forever the door or aura never moved. "Lady Taiyo, we have some time before your lessons, let's go to the library now." Junfuku said to her, she wanted to try knocking again but just did what Junfuku said and started to leave with him.
They made it outside where the outside of the house was large and eastern style with large stone walls guarding the outside. Several men lined up before bowing their heads to the young lady as she made it to a limo. Junfuku entered alongside her but stopped to close the door and turned to her. "Right, your father is dealing with things too today, if you need to speak to him it will be later today."
"Thanks." The car then started to move. As the car drove, Taiyo looked out at the city of Eleanoria. 'Yesterday was. Mother will most likely quiz me on Geography today, may as well recall the basics of the Tri-State Area.'
Taiyo closed her eyes and pictured the Tri-State Area, there were three States connected by three cities to the north-east was Eleanoria were the Golden Phoenix Flock safeguards the city from Ferals. To the North-West is the home of the Silver Wolf Pack, Zubeth. And to the south, Cherryton, this town isn't protected by a Mythian group like neighbors but canines and avians from both groups do patrol the area for thugs and Ferals from time to time.
Cherryton has been neutral ground between the other two cities for generations. Often being the middleman for meetings and negotiations between the two groups. Cherryton does have a problem with gangs & thugs trying to make money by offering to give the townspeople 'protection'. But this has been taken care of by the Silver Wolf Pack.
Taiyo opened her eyes as she felt the car coming to a stop. Taiyo stepped out of the car and saw that her family's members were pushing people out of the library. She sighed heavily, she hated the fact she couldn't enjoy the quiet of the library like a normal Pangean.
Taiyo pulled out some books from the shelves, some were history books while some were magic based, mainly healing spells. She handed some to Junfuku that he took, she then added more than more, adding to the pile before they fell over and landed on Junfuku. "Sorry." Taiyo said quietly. She then started to pick up the books but stopped when an elderly old hand grabbed one before her. "Huh?"
Turning her head, she saw a black cat Pangean, she had glasses and a purple dress, one thing that stood out was her crimson red eyes. "Oh, magic? Hmm, what is it you seek dear?"
"Oh, it's nothing really--" Taiyo reached out to grab the book back but the cat grabbed her wing, feeling it before letting go.
"Ah, I see, you wish to heal someone." What the cat said was true, Taiyo looked at her, straight into her eyes. "Ah, yes I see it in your soul too, you wish to heal someone. You'll never learn in these books." The cat tossed the book away, which hit a rising Junfuku, knocking down again. "These books only give half-assed answers to what you want, sweet bird, they won't have what you seek, trust me."
"How do you know?"
"I have read every book on magic, trying my own scars, I know one book that could help you though, but there is bad news." She then stood up, helping Taiyo get up as well before looking into her eyes to show her she speaks the truth. "The bad news is it isn't in this city, it is in Zubeth." Those words made Taiyo panic, she could never go there. "But I could help." The cat then pulled out a band with a red gem inside of it and a piece of paper, she put the band on her wing that clipped on, looking at the paper it was seeking direction. "The library of Zubeth, go there."
Taiyo then looked at the paper and then back to Junfuku who was getting back up. She needed to get away from him but before she could do anything, the cat opened her other hand. A pile of blue powder that shined was on her paw. Blowing on it, it made a small cloud of dust that covered Junfuku who then started to move slowly, it slowed him down as if he was in slow motion. "Thank you." Taiyo said to the cat before running off and out of the building.
When she was outside the band started to glow, her feather changed color, going from gold to simple brown, she looked more like a hawk now. "A disguise charm, nice."

Taiyo ran down the street, for the first time ever she felt free, like running as fast as she could, right before tripping and falling over. She then git up and just walked the rest of the way. She walked, sored a bit, and even jaywalked to a train station, looking around she foundone leading to Zubeth.
Boarding a train it felt exciting, mostly, there were a few sketchy Pangeans like beggars and drunks despite it being around 9 in the morning, she just hoped that Junfuku wouldn't be angry with her. Unknown to her back at the library someone shouts: "Motherfu--"
"Shhhh!"
"Okay, sorry, I'm leaving."
Later on the train stopped at the station, looking around she looked to note, telling her to leave the station and make her way to a statue. The said statue was held looking, showing a wolf with an ax in their hand pointing to the north. Every direction was simple and safe, a small market store with fresh fruit, an antique store with nicknames, even a preschool with children that waved at her.
It was nice before she reached a street where some Pangeans in leather jackets were sitting at a gas station, one of them, a bear Pangean whistled. "Hey beautiful, were you heading?" Taiyo just ignored them and kept going, his friends chuckled at him which made him a little angry. "Hey! I was talking to you!"
"Don't have time." Taiyo said before she kept on going. The bear then started to chase her. "Leave me alone--"
"Listen here you little--" The bear was interrupted as something came from an alleyway, it grabbed him by his neck and tossed him at a wall. He grunted in pain before seeing a large hulking deer Pangean-like creature with its horse razor sharp and bumps all over its body as the skin on its face was missing. "F-Feral!" The bear then ran away along with the others.
"Hmm?" Was all Taiyo said as the feral looked at her before it raised its arms, intending to strike her down, but before it moved anymore, it bursted into raging flames. Its flesh burnt away in an instant and the Feral was now just a skeleton. "All that screaming over a simple Class E Feral." She then poked the skeleton as it fell apart and started walking away but turned her head to see the bear who saw the whole thing, his pants wet, she turned around which made the bear panic even more and run away. "Hehe, jerk."
Taiyo kept walking without knowing someone saw what she did, with a camera in their hand taking pictures of her. "Hmm, so it seems we have a bird in our trophy, I say we inform the boss." The voice was very high, and behind them were several dogs in suits, each of them trying not to laugh, but failed. However, one chuckled only to feel a serious pain, a punch below the belt making them fall over with the punch coming from a short Shiba Inu wearing biker attire. "Don't laugh at your big bro my crew when he's talking." He said pulling out a cigarette and lighting it.
Taiyo searched more around the city before finally making it to the library, it looked more beat up than the one she was from. Entering inside she noticed a turtle at the front desk, walking over she looked at the note again, the title of the book called "Gaianomicon" she asked with the turtle searching for it, informing her where it is she started to walk further into the building, it was nearly empty before she found it.
"This is it." Pulling out the heavy book she started to read through it, it was full of many different types of spells, so she never heard of til she found what she was looking for, a healing spell like no other, there was a description about this spell that could heal any wound and scar no matter how old it was, this was perfect for her, she needed this spell and book to fix-- The instructions to the spell was in another another language. "Fuuuuuuck." She cursed under her breath, quietly too. "It had to be another language, okay just check this book out and translate it, I need this spell."
As she walked to the counter of the library, but then saw something from behind a shelf, a pack of wolves entering the building. She was wondering why until a Shiba Inu hopped onto the counter. "Excuse, we're looking for a bird, someone said they came here."
"Ah, yes I saw someone enter in here, say young man could you get off the counter, I don't want mud on it." The turtle requested with the Shiba Inu looking mad, they then suddenly had a sledge hammer more than three times their size with the head looking almost like an oil barrel with a skull and crossbones.
"Did you call me "Young man" because I'm short?" The Shiba Inu said, sounding annoyed.
"Young man, everyone is a young man to me if they are under 80-years-olds, I just turned 165 last month." The Shiba Inu then put away the hammer somehow. "Hmm, oh is that them?" The turtle then pointed at Taiyo who was hiding behind a bookshelf.
"Thank you sir," The Shiba Inu jumped off the counter and walked with the wolves towards Taiyo. "Listen sweetheart, do us a favor and don't run, we just want to talk... and maybe remove some feathers."
Taiyo then started to run deeper into the library, the wolves took chase. Around three of them made it down the hall she was in but once they made it deep down it, a bookshelf toppled over and landed on the three. When four others saw what happened one tried to pick up the shelf to help their other members, but hearing something in front of them they saw Taiyo running towards them and jumped on their head and started flying up.
"No flying in the library!" The turtle said calmly.
"Sorry!" She shouts, tossing a book she picked like a frisbee, hitting one of the wolves in the head and bouncing off hitting another. She then started to spin in the air, a golden glow surrounded her as wind followed after with a tornado surrounding her, once the spinning stopped the wind explained knocking everyone back and down.
"No magic either!"
"Sorry again!" Taiyo then ran to the counter and placed the book on the counter. "I would like to check out this book?"
"You're in luck, we're also selling old books, you can buy it for a dollar."
"Oh I'll buy it then." She then pulled out a purse and handed them a dollar, Taiyo then started to leave the building before the Shiba Inu started to chase after her. "Oh crap!" She then started to bolt out of the building.
The Shiba Inu stopped when they noticed her flying in the air. "Oh no you don't you little bird!" They then pulled out their hammer, seeing a trash can they whacked it with the hammer, sending it flying with a blue glow, it then started to follow her, she quickly evaded it.
"Whoa! Magic hammer? Must I have a hunting enchantment?" She wondered as the dog found random things and started hitting them with the hammer launching items in the sky to follow her, luckily she was a fast flier.
A dumpster even almost falls on a random person. "AH! Damnit, it's Ino, everyone gets out of his way!"
"Dammit, why is it always one of the Cerberus dogs!" Shouted another civilian.
"Wait, this guy is one of the three Cereberus dogs?" Taiyo said in total surprise, the title of Cereberus is only given to three members of the Silver Wolf Pack, three members who are incredibly strong. "Didn't know they had children in their group?"
The Shiba Inu named Ino heard that, he started to turn all red with rage. "Don't you dare..." She then raised the hammer up. "Think I'm a child, that is like you're calling me..." He then slammed it down, causing an explosion that sent him flying upwards and toward her. "LITTLE!"
"Huh?" Taiyo then felt something crash into her, Ino used himself like a missile that crashed into her, sending her crashing into a building. She went through a wall and looked around, it was abandoned. "Ow..." She cried, she then noticed her bag was on the floor, but once she reached for it, something hit her again.
"Sup, BITCH!" Ino jumped through the fresh hole in the wall and slammed the happier on her back, making her go through the floor. He then followed her, slamming the hammer down again, sending through the remaining floors and down to the ground level, he then landed on her back, crushing her. "Hahaha! Idiot! This is why you don't mess with-- Do I smell gas?" He turned his head to see some tanks of gas, one being spilled. "Crap, now I need to get out of--" He stopped as he felt something warm.
Looking down, Taiyo's body was engulfed in a golden flame, it was beautiful, eye-catching, Ino was even lost for words, he then remembered the gas. "Oh shit..." The ground floor then exploded, the force from the blast launched Ino back up the hole and crashed not only into but through the ceiling, landing on the roof. "Damn it... note to self, write a concerning note to city council, renovators are possibly leaving gas tanks unsave in the building."
He then heard something, the flapping of wings. "Good, my bag is safe." Spoke the voice of Taiyo. Ino knew she was alive. The flames, a bird, she was a phoenix. He used all his strength to make his way to the hole in the ceiling and jump through, but as he was falling down it he heard her say this: "Good thing I have spare clothes in my bag." As he made it closer, he held on to the edge of the hole to look into the room where he saw Taiyo. There was a lot of dust from the explosion but he could tell from her silhouette that she was naked. "AH! Pervert!" She screamed before throwing a fireball right to his face and second to his crotch, Ino fell back down the hall and landed on the ground hard.
After getting dressed she made her way to the exit of the building leaving a burnt Ino inside, luckily he was alive, just in extreme pain. "Damn, I destroyed the charm that kind lady gave me... I should repair her if I see her again." She was upset, but then she shook her head. "Now is not the time to feel bad, now is the time to celebrate! I found a way to help you Chi. I feel like a milkshake! I earned it!" She said starting to fly off, she heard of a great spot Junfuku told her about.

After a quick flight into Cherryton, Taiyo lands in front of a diner called Hounddog's Junktion. Taiyo didn't pay much attention to her surroundings once she entered, however there was a strange Monkey Pangean making a fuss with the manager, she spotted only one free seat. Which was at a table with a wolf Pangean nose deep in the menu.
"Excuse me, is this seat taken? I'm just here for a self-indulgent treat."
"Brave of you to ask a big bad wolf to sit next to, but sure, free real estate." the wolf said jokingly.
After a few minutes and pursuing the menu, Taiyo decided to order as a lizard waitress walked up and asked, "H-hey! M-May I take your order."
"Yes, I'll have a Strawberry Milkshake." Replied both the wolf and Taiyo sitting with him.
Taiyo looked at the wolf closer, noticing he was of the Silver Wolf Pack. "So... you like Strawberry Milkshakes too?" Taiyo asked, her eyes locked onto Kai's.
"Ye-yeah..." The Silver Wolf replied, before her feathers and the wolf's fur suddenly... Floof'ed up involuntarily. Causing everyone in the room to do a spit take.
The monkey then shouted, "OH MY GOD! THEY'RE SO CUTE!" He was then smacked by the sheep next to him with a handful of sand.
