“Maybe they made it?” The rustling of the grass and sticks breaking filled the air. "We won't know until we make it back!" sounds of a tree falling catch the adventurer's attention, "That's if we get back."
In this world, you are who you create, and dress to be, whether it is a thief, adventurer, civilian, or tradesperson. Each role has its own selection of clothing, hair, and colors. "What is your selection? Guest201?" a voice announces with an echoey after effect, as you look through the options you read about each one,
thief:'' thieves stay in big cities, sometimes wondering about hoping to find a trader to pickpocket, The thief role gives you one common skill and rare skill,
Adventure:” The adventure role, a common role among Humans, Elves, and Dwarfs. The Adventure role mainly plays part in the woods, fighting, and looting areas, this role gives you two common skills, a rare skill, and a legendary skill.
Civilian:” the civilian role is what it normally means you are in a town either a blacksmith or any store worker, for those skills you would get are, vocal skills for when singing or talking for money offering, And knowledge of guilds.
Tradesperson:” the tradesperson plays an important role. They keep items and etc. going around. They sometimes travel but they are mostly found on the trading karts outside of most villages.
You see a warning appear at the top of your vision. “You may only choose one. You can still learn other skills”.
After looking at all the options, and knowing the needed information, you decide on adventure, Next opens up a menu called appearance and personality traits.
“Here is where you choose your: gender, hair, hair color, eye color, clothing, height.”
You nod then look through all your options. You decide on the easy ones first. Hazel eyes, reddish-brown hair, normal height, and long hair, female. You take a look over your character before accepting and moving on to the clothing. Make a few adjustments to how your hair sits on your head and curl it a bit.
Clothing: your choices in clothing are almost unlimited. From pirates, armor, warriors, bandits, bartenders/ traders, and civilians. Etc. This can be edited whenever you want.
You decide to wear a basic loose armor set to start off with. A white top, a white skirt, a leather corset, a black pair for flats, leather gloves, and a mask. You now choose your name. Stella, and now you spawn into the start.
After a minute of reviewing the rules, a notification appears on the right-hand side of your view.
Notification: congrats new player, Stella! Three new items have been added to your inventory!
You open your inventory to see the items. A note from a nearby Inn, some gold for logging in, and a health potion for any troubles. You exit the inventory and another notification pops up.
Notification: New Trophy! start a character - Reward: 10 gold.
After waiting a couple of minutes to see if any more notifications have appeared, you open your inventory back up and read the note. “Welcome to the village Oakenland adventure, we already have a room fitted for your needs. come quick quests await you. - signed Sargent Melvyn” closing the note and leaving your inventory, you open your map to mark Oakenlands location. You feel disappointed as you realize that you are not far from the village, while you are traveling you see a rabbit standing near a bush of berries. You stand there watching the Bunnie eat the berries one by one. Another notification appears.
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Notification: You are hungry! The longer you go without food the hungrier you get. This will slowly kill you. Be careful what you eat, eating raw and/or poisonous foods may give you food poisoning. Which can kill you if not treated properly.
Taking note of your new notification, you unequip the bow from your back while slowly grabbing an arrow not to scare the rabbit, slowly pulling your arrow back when someone comes crashing through scaring the rabbit away. You watch the rabbit run further into the forest as the person gets up from falling face first into the bush of berries.
“Thanks for scaring off my meal, '' you say sarcastically, as you carefully put your bow and arrow back gently onto your back. Not giving them a chance to say something you start heading near Oakenland. After a couple steps you hear an extra two footsteps behind you. You turn to see the same person now curiously following you to stop as they noticed that they've been seen.
They smile. “So, you can see me?" you just look at them completely confused. “Yes, I can? can't everyone? I mean you look human.” They look at you with slight anger. “I am not human! I am a Cherub!” the person crosses their arms while they throw a small tantrum.
Notification: Galvendor will remember this.
Notification: hunger down to 40 percent! You need to eat soon. You grow slower by the hour.
“Great only 10 minuets in and I'm already failing” you think to yourself. “I'm new. Galvendor? Is it? And sorry to cut this talk short but I really need to get to Oakenland Inn, or hunt for some food for myself. "You explain as the Cherub just looks at you, he sighs and holds out a cooked rabbit, guessing he got in from his inventory. "You just going to hand me food? what's the catch." you look at him untrustingly, He shakes his head and moves the food closer as you hear your stomach growl.
Notification: You have been offered the item cooked rabbit. Do you accept?
You accept it as you take the cooked rabbit out of your inventory and eat it. After you finish eating the cooked rabbit you thank Galvendor then excuse yourself. Heading in the direction of Oakenland Galvendor quickly runs beside you. "So, you're heading to Oakenland you say? Perhaps I can accompany you on your journey? I'll allow you to take a look at my skill set and armor set." He looks at you with a straight face. As you pull up his character page a warning appears.
Warning: The character page you are pulling up is of a Cherub if you wish to continue choose to ignore if not then cancel. Cherubs are known for playing tricks, they can also become loyal companions but rarely. You take thought of the warning then choose the option ignore; You look at his character page to see that most of his armor and skills are at level 35 meaning Hes been playing for a long time. Going to his skill set you see he is a stray familiar. Stray familiar: known as companions stray familiars are often found in the wilderness, taming them can be hard unless wanted to be tamed. knowing this you agree to letting Galvendor accompany you. He nods as you accept his offer. You go back to walking to Oakenland as he follows slowly behind. After an hour of walking, you make it to Oakenland village. You look at the wonderful place as you walk up to its gates. Galvendor takes the form of a small cat and jumps up onto your shoulder as you walk to the guards standing Infront of the gate entrance. " 20 gold to enter." The guard to your left holds his hand out after speaking to collect money. " 20 gold? Are you insane?" you yell out. The guards try to quiet you. " Would you quiet down we'll let you in!" the guard to your right begins to open the door while shaking his head.
As you enter a group of young kids run past you it seems they are playing a game of tag. You smile while walking past them remembering your brothers and you doing the same thing at home, when finding your way to the towns Inn you're stopped by a nicely clothed lady. "Are you aware that you have a Cherub resting on your shoulder right now?" She looks at you a bit worriedly " yes, I am perfectly aware of him." you say to her while looking at her confused. She nods then hurries into a black smithing shop. "She's a witch." Galvendors voice hums in your head. "I know." You say sounding disgusted as you start walking again now paying looking at the signs hanging from each door. tempted on going into many of the shops you wander past but keeping yourself concentrated on your main quest. after a few minutes of walking, you find yourself at oakenland Inn. A big wooden building in the shape of a large size house windows to fit every room inside the building.
Notification: discovered Oakenland Inn. Quest completed. New Quest: Talk to Sargent Melvyn.
On entering the Inn, you are greeted by the Inn keeper. "Hello young Adventure, you must be Stella, we have waited your arrival." he says while moves his arm in a leading way to the upstairs. others in the Inn raise their mugs of mead in the air as to create a cheer effect. You both enter the room while Galvendor is now laying on your shoulder instead of sitting, you see a surprisingly young man sitting at the table in the corner of the room drinking a small glass of mead while reading a book. He looks over his shoulder and smile. "So, it was true. Nevenhallow has gained a new soul." he get up and walks over to you grabbing your hand gently. "Welcome to the Inn, to start off I will give you your first full quest."
Notification: New Quest, acquire the golden heart. Quest Reward: 100 gold.
You look at the quest excitedly, " Make sure to grab plenty of potions and food before leaving."
