So first of all, this is obviously not a chapter. I'm hereby announcing that I am "taking a break" aka spending hours reading through the older chapters and fixing/changing some stuff.
I know that many of you will still dislike the fact that I'm doing this, but I'd rather face angry people than disappointed people. Also, this will NOT be a rewrite of the plot. There will be changes, but those will be made in a way that it should be possible to continue reading from chapter 15 for those that have already read up to chapter 14(/13..)
But I'm not only doing this to fix mistakes I already made. I also intend to prevent myself from making too many mistakes in the future. So I will read through some guides and all of that stuff.. yes, this is going to take a long time and I myself do not know just how long it will take. Once I feel that I have improved enough to continue writing on this story without screwing up, I will do so. Until then, there will be no new chapters. Perhaps I will even start a new project as a "training".
Last time I screwed up pacing and plot completely. It was going along well this time, but there are far too many things that could and should be improved. Because if I don't do it now, those things might lead to yet another catastrophe. I'd rather make a full stop right now than not doing so and risking to crash into a wall.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
First I will read through guides, then I will apply what I've learned to older chapters, both as a means to practice and see just how big the impact is, then, depending on the results, I may write on another project to further improve, and only then will I write new chapters. This can and most likely will take a long time, but:
Expect the speed at which I will release chapters from then on to increase by a LOT. I'd say by.. three times at least. One chapter every day could be possible. This is just me estimating that once I've gotten to know my own story well enough to not spend most of the time thinking stuff like "would this fit into the story? What should I write now?" instead of writing, I would be able to spend much more time writing.
Let's hope that this break won't be too long, but pray that it lasts long enough to actually take effect. Bye.
