Within a large expanse of grassy field, a lone figure stood gazing onwards towards the horizon. Her snowy white hair swayed gently as the wind came swooping the land. Her scarlet eyes were sharp like a blade, and yet it's soft as she shifted relaxed, turning her gaze away from the mountains.
The girl then began to examine herself, she's clad in dark obsidian-like armor. The armor she wore was a masterpiece, the intricate details were immaculate. Rather than the typical skin-exposing armor, her armor were full of protection. There's not a single hole for skin exposure as the armor itself already have vent-like systems through it crevices.
On her chest, exist another layer of armor shaped like a shield with a lion's head embedded into it. The lion head were made out of gold-like material with rubies planted on it's eyes. The girl then looked at her back and there were a pair of dark ethereal wings tucked neatly at the back of her hips, and under the neatly tucked wings there's also a dragon tails. It scales were as dark as an obsidian, as the light touches some part of the tail it revealed a small hint of plum from the scales.
Then the girl touched her own face, panic and confusion filled her mind as she yelled. " WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON!? Where am I? Why am I inside my in-game character?"
After moments of shouting out of confusion, the girl finally let go of her hands that were touching her face. She then tried to replicate the same motion as she would back then, tapping on the air to which displayed a floating screen of the game status. Instinctively, she went unto the mail setting and there was a new notification.
When she clicked it, a mail coming from an unknown individual appeared. The one who sent the message claims to be a Goddess that managed the flow of souls for reincarnation, named Théosora. She claimed that she made an error as she accidentally taken away the girl's soul away with a message, "My deep apologies my dear child, it's seem that I made an oopsies and took away your soul away-" The so-called Goddess then reassured the poor girl by supplying her with her in-game character as a vessel along with the game system at her command. And as an extra help, the Goddess also give her all of the games armors, weapons, accessories, and also other useful items. it's seems that the girl were completely pissed of as she quickly closed the message without finishing it. "At least put me near a town rather than this empty land, that's literally the basic rule of Isekai!"
The girl, Axolynitian, then sat down and pondered. "According to that message, that means there should be Shop Exchange within this status screen. I wonder if I can still utilize the Shop Exchange features because I highly doubt that this world have Parsints."
Parsint was one of the most used currency inside her game called The Realm of Artoria that resembles a brown-colored tanzanite. Parsint were highly used because it's the only one out of all the available currency that allows the player to use the Shop Exchange feature. Out of curiosity, she then checked the Shop only to find out that she can, in fact, use the Shop Exchange because the Goddess tinkered the use of Parsint with a gold coin but not just any gold coin, It must be the one comes from the new world although the prices for exchanging has been tripled.
"Well, at least I can use it." Axolynitian smiled with content. As she diverted her choice from opening the Shop Exchange towards her avatar, she saw that she currently didn't put any head gear and also head accessories.
"What should I pick?" She muttered while scrolling through lists of options. As she scrolled through thousands of possibilities, she then landed upon the horns of Inventrus - Horns of the Great Elder Dragon of Volcano. Without a second thought she took the horns, the color of the horns are almost the same as her tail although rather that revealing a small hint of plum when touched directly by light, it simply shows a darker shade of red which fits perfectly with her eyes. "Horns of Inventrus, it's said when you wore it you'd get an insane amount of aura as the dragon itself... Well, it's just a flavor text, there's no way that'd be true, right?" The girl muttered to herself as she wore the horns which magically started to glue itself, making it fit seamlessly. Besides the flavor text, Horns of Inventrus provides the user with a resistance towards all flame-type attack up to 80% and also, every time the user receive flame-type attack it'll increase all of the user's stats by 5% up to 90%
"Now, my head accessory have been filled out. judging from the stats alone, I don't think I should be wearing any head gear maybe except this fire-resistant goggles." She said as she wore the said goggles. "Now, I'm ready!"
With a clap, she set up another goal. "Let's try summoning!" she said enthusiastically. Suddenly, the shadow beneath her started to grow longer than before towards the east. In response, she looked at the sun that slowly started to sink down in the horizon. "Shit, I don't have any time left."
She quickly stretched her right arm forward and let out a summoning incantation. "The time is nigh; O lord of the Icy Fields. The one who controls over the cold, Noctyx, the Ancient Frost Dragon. I summon thee, come and become my mount!" As soon as her commands slipped out of her lips, a light blue circle materialized before her. And then, exist small auroras circling the summoning circle as a symbol of a dragon head appeared. As the color of the summoning becomes more thicker, the surrounding area then became freezing as snow began appearing.
After brief moments, a beam of light came and strikes the summoning circle giving a hint of the dragon's arrival. As its silhouette began to show up within the beam of light, a loud roar can be heard. Its roar sent off chills and yet, it doesn't affect the girl as she just stood there undeterred.
The dragon then began to entered the world, it stood at a staggering height of 30 meters with a wingspan of 25 meters. its scales were smooth-looking like marbles and white as snows, its horns were made by ice that seemingly can't melt. It's eyes shine like the sun, golden in colors.
As the dragon glances towards the girl, it quickly bowed down in submission as it addressed the girl in front of his very eyes. "It has been awhile since I last saw you, My Mistress." The dragon said, keeping its head low even touching the ground.
"Yes, it's indeed been awhile, Noctyx. You've grown." The girl, Axolynitian, said as she noticed a slight difference between the current and the older version of the dragon.
"I agree with your statement for I indeed have grown slightly." Noctyx, the Ancient Frost Dragon, chuckled before then questioned the girl. "Now, would you mind telling me how I can be of any assistance to you for today?"
"Yes, absolutely. Now, be my guest and help me find my target, Noctyx." The girl said excitedly before noticing that it's now starting to become night-time. "Quickly, I need to gather information!" Hearing his mistress' words, Noctyx lower itself allowing the girl to easily mounted him. As the girl gave the signal, he quickly soared up to the sky.
"Mind telling me what's your target as off now, My Mistress?" Noctyx asked as he flies around the surrounding perimeters of their original post.
"Yes, try to find humans for now! And also, Noctyx, you are allowed to call me by my name, Axolynitian!" The girl replied loudly to break off the wind that's currently deafening her words. "Understood, Axolynitian-sama." Noctyx replied, seemingly able to adjust quickly as he focused on searching Axolynitian's target, humans.
Noctyx then activated his dragon's skill, ⟪Under the Heaven's Watch⟫. It's a skill that came from pure Ancient dragon's race that allows them to easily find their preys. When locked by the skill, the target can't use any means of escape such as teleporting, even logging out of the game was not an option until you defeat the user. And while the skill are still in effect, the user will gain 50% of combat stats buff for exchange of lowering their defence, resistance to magic and also hp.
In an instant, Noctyx tracked a group of individuals surrounding what it seems to be a campfire. He then quickly tells his mistress about the situation. "Axolynitian-sama, as your command I have found what it seems to be a group of adventurers. They're about 500 meters away from our current location, what's your next command? Should we ambush them?"
"There's no need, you can drop me off now." Axolynitian replied. In response of her words, Noctyx quickly landed and lowered himself once again, allowing her to easily get off of him. "Thank you for helping me, Noctyx." Axolynitian said calmly, her words were filled with gratitude as she patted on his legs.
"It's nothing, Axolynitian-sama. It's only the right thing to do as one of your servants." The dragon replied. "And also, before I went back. May I tell you about something?"
Axolynitian seemed to be intrigued by his question, she then allowed him to talk. "Yes, if you wanted to ask about our current location. We are apparently in another world."
"I know, Axolynitian-sama because it's seems that our whole guild also got teleported here." Noctyx said as he bowed down once again. "The whole guild!?" She exclaimed in surprise to which he responded with a small nod.
"Can you tell me the location?" She asked to which the dragon refused by saying that is it truly worth it to waste her time on something that she could always checks than something that can be much more important and also limited. Axolynitian then pondered for a brief moment before agreeing with Noctyx.
If you find this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the infringement.
"Then can you tell me about the Guild's condition?"
"It's under control, Axolynitian-sama. It's all thanks to Aida's command, although there might be a slight problem at hand."
"What is it?"
"It's seems that Aida has taken notice of your arrival and told the others. It's best for you to take a visit before they do something reckless."
"Okay, I'll take a note on that"
"Much thanks, Axolynitian-sama. I think it's best for me to head back, Axolynitian-sama, please do the favor." The dragon, Noctyx, said as he ended their conversation with a bow.
Affirming his request, Axolynitian bled all of her five fingers on one arm. As she stretched out her bleeding arm forward she chanted the reversal summoning. "Lord of the Icy fields, Noctyx, the Ancient Frost Dragon. I thank thee for thy support on my request. Now, you shall return to where you reside, farewell."
"Farewell, Axolynitian-sama" The dragon bowed as the beam of light that once called him became the one that would take him back to where he lived.
As the dragon that once stood before her gone, she focused back unto the task that's currently before her. "Well then Adventurers, I hope that you'll have the information that I'm hoping for." She said before rushing towards the group.
◇◇◇
Beyond the dense forest, a smoke can be seen reaching its hands towards the sky. The smoke itself came from a single campfire and amidst the sound of the crackling twigs beneath the flames, six figures can be seen chatting with each other. Between the six figures, two of them were males while the rest of them were females. Their group consists of one archpriestess, a fighter, a paladin, an archer, and two ninjas that are acting as Vanguards.
Suddenly one of them stand up, and look towards the north. "What's wrong, Shinosaka? Is there something wrong?" The archpriestess asked, worried by her friends' sudden action.
The girl in question was one of the Vanguards of the group. She has a striking long and dark hair but was tied into a ponytail. Her face were hidden by mask only allowing her dark plum eyes to be seen, her garment were more lightweight than her partner. Despite being a lightweight, she does indeed wearing protective gears especially around her chest, and legs. "Something is coming, I don't like this." Shinosaka replied as she's currently on high alert for unsuspecting event.
"Come on don't be like that, Shinosaka. I know that you're quite restless from how this supposed dangerous forest to be very calm. But let me tell you, I've checked the surrounding using my arts and everything surrounding us is pretty much safe." The elf archer replied, her cheeks reddening. "Oy, Ellie. Are you sure you're not drunk?" Shinosaka's partner reached out as he pointed out how red her cheeks were.
Ellie is the only archer of the group. She hailed from one of the elf's nobility within the Elven Territory. Despite being a noble, she act very rashly which leads her getting her ass kicked out of her own house with the premise that she could return after proving her worth. She has a lustrous ash brown hair, on her head exist a small tiara made out of wood. Her eyes were green like emeralds. She wore a typical archer gears, including one-sided brestplate and leather armoring.
"Drunk? Are you kidding me? It's not even my fourth shot." Ellie replied back at him. "Now, now, everyone let's calm down. I know that you're worried but-" Suddenly, another one of them stands up, interrupting the archpriestess' words as she was surprised by the action that was taken by one of her friend again. "I think Shinosaka is correct. Something is coming. I think we should get ready." The fighter said as he tighten the grip of his hand.
The archpriestess was pretty confused, she then asked the person next to her, a paladin named Lainecalle. "Uhm, what do you think Lainecalle?"
"I'm sorry but I think they are correct. I sense something sinister coming towards us." Lainecalle smiled as she puts her armor. "Now let us prepare the challenger, don't ya think so?" The fighter said with an energetic smile. "Energetic as always huh, Kariyam?" Ellie said as she grabbed her equipment, putting her booze aside.
The man in question was a beastman fighter named Kariyam, he came from the lion tribe. It's a tribe that's located at the southwest part of the known map of the world. His skins were tan and muscular. His eyes were amber gold and fierce. Unlike his team, he's the only one that doesn't wear protective gear thanks to his upbringing as a lion beastman. He's a fighter that is capable of swordmanship and close-quarter combat, but he prefers fighting enemies in close combat rather than using his greatsword that shaped like a Zweihänder.
"Of course I am!" He replied quickly as his gaze still fixated towards where his instinct told him the danger will come.
As they got themselves prepared to welcome the danger. Shinosaka asked the archpriestess, Flamenia to set up a barrier. "Hey, Flamenia can you set up the Divine Barrier?"
"Yes, whenever you give me the command!" Flamenia replied as she held tight her staff that resembles a sword. "Okay then, get ready because we are doing it in-"

"Now cast it" Shinosaka command, she grabbed her dagger. With her command being issued, Flamenia quickly chant the spell ⟪Divine Barrier⟫
⟪Divine Barrier⟫, it was one of the advanced spells an archpriest could cast. it is made of multi-layered barriers that each have the function of warding off a specific type of attack, its defense is considered one of the best as it can withstand many events before dissipating. The maximum power this shield could handle was equivalent to that of a demon general.
"Through divine grace, we weave a shield, guarding ourselves from the enemies. With our belief and hope, we shall endure, this sacred barrier, steadfast and pure. Oh Gods and Goddesses, hear our plea, bestow upon us your protection. ⟪Divine Barrier⟫!"
As her enchantment reached its peak, a radiant circle of light emanated from the ground, gradually joint into a dome that enveloped them. As the barrier is ready, they could feel tremors coming from the dense forest. Besides the intense tremors that they felt on their feet, they also saw trees falling one by one.
Suddenly, a stampede of monstrous creatures burst forth from the forest, hurtling toward them. However, this stampede were not aiming for them, it's as if they're running away from something more sinister. "What is this!?" Ellie gasped as she saw the amount of the monster that were running out of the dense forest unto the open field they're in.
"It's not over yet! There's still something else coming" Lainecalle reached out as she pointed her sword towards the forest. As the stampede dispersed, they felt chills over their spines as they couldn't help but freeze due to the aura coming from the forest.
Beyond the dense forest, an unmistakable sound of heavy footsteps can be heard. Instinctively, all of them reached out for their weapon and aim at the source of the sound, their expression became intense as they focus on it. And then, lo and behold, emerging from the forest was a girl. Her snowy white hair were softly blown by the wind, on her head exist horns that resembles dragon's horns. Her eyes were scarlet in color and it pierce like a tip of a blade. She clad in a dark yet mysterious suit of armor that they've never seen before, on her chest were a symbol of a lion's head. on her hips were a pair of dark and angelic wings, underneath it exist a tail that resembles the horns but plum in color as the horns were scarlet like her eyes. The girl just silently walk towards slowly with a smile on her face.
"This is bad" Shinosaka said a she casted a worried gaze upon her friends. "What do we do? I highly doubt that we can escape from this girl." She asked her teams.
As her figures becomes closer than ever before, Ellie quickly take an aim at the girl. "Stay back!" Ellie said as she loosened her finger on the string, allowing the arrow to fly towards its target. Unfortunately her arrow was quickly caught by the girl only by using her two fingers.
"Impossible."
"Ellie, what are you doing!?" Shinosaka asked, confused by her rash action. "She's dangerous, too dangerous! We mustn't let her get near us." Ellie answered as she took another aim.
"I see, Kariyam and Lainecalle, protect us if she ever breaks down the barrier." Shinosaka commanded. Then she gave out another command stating that Ellie and Flamenia must stay at the rear, assisting Kariyam and Lainecalle to which she and his partner will go around the battlefield before going in and assist them
"Got it, Shinosaka" They replied in unison as they took their stance. As the girl gets nearer than ever before, she then stopped and take a look at their faces. "My, my, why so serious?" She chuckled. "Allow me to introduce myself," The girl said whilst giving a small bow, "My name is Axolynitian, a Dark Knight."
"I have a question," the girl, Axolynitian, said as she extending her arm, touching the barrier. "Can you tell me if there's a settlement nearby? Because I can't seem to find one while hovering over this forest." To her surprise, it looks like the opposing team couldn't grasp on what she tried to ask.
"Does anyone knows what she's trying to say?" Lainecalle asked, seemingly confused as she can't understand except her name. "Nope, no clue at all," her friends replied quickly.
"Can you understand me?" the girl asked again to which none of them couldn't understand either, "I think that she's threatening us." Ellie said as she readied another shot, aiming for the unknown girl's head.
"C'mon guys, no need to be scared," The girl said, applying a tiny pressure on the barrier with her fingertips. Which suddenly shattered the barrier. Entering battle mode the group quickly commence the position ordered by Shinosaka. "Lainecalle, I leave the rest to you!" Shinosaka said as she went out and scouted the surrounding with her partner. "Let's go, Hirokami"
As the remains of the barrier fluttered around the sky, Lainecalle and Kariyam quickly pressed on towards Axolynitian, the unknown girl.
"Within the cracks of despair, lend us your strength and guide us as we break through our bind. With unwavering will, we shall rise and fear shall shattered beneath our steps. ⟪Brave Guards⟫!" The archpriestess chanted a buff as she lifted her staff.
"What the!?" The girl seemed surprised by their coordination.
"Taste this, ⟪Blossoming Strike⟫!" Ellie said, channeling her arts towards the the arrows. As the arrows were sent flying, a pinkish aura can be seen sticking on it increacing its trajectory towards the girl.
As the girl that's currently fending herself off Lainecalle and Kariyam's barrage of attacks saw the arrow, she quickly stretched her arm in an attempt to block it to which in her surprise the arrow then exploded. After the explosion blocked her vision, the arrow then split into five resembling a pentamerous flower that shoots to another direction before homing back at the girl. Unfortunately, the attempt failed as the homing arrows were quickly snatched by the girl at an alarming rate of speed.
"Hey, eyes on me!" Lainecalle shouted as she baited the girl's attention. She and Kariyam then continued to pursue the girl with an extreme coordination; from left to right, above and below, in front and behind. Their coordination were peaked that no one could believe it came from a paladin and a beastman which is known for their frontal attack that have no tactics at all.
"Everyone! Handle it for a bit, Hirokami and I will join soon enough!" Shinosaka said as she ran around them, placing talisman between the trees. "Shinosaka, are you ready?" Hirokami said as he placed the last talisman that he has.
