In the midst of night in a medieval-esque type of city, a clock tower could be seen in the centre. A lone figure stood in front of the large clock. Illuminated from both the light behind him and the moon, the silhouette of a man could be seen. For the average onlooker it would be hard to make out any details of his face, with only the tail end of his overcoat which was ever so slightly fluttering to the flow of the wind could be seen.
“No time like the present…” He spoke softly, grinning slightly to himself as the clock hit midnight. The large bell was struck ringing throughout the city. To the residents it was a simple indication, midnight, but to the mysterious figure it marked the destruction… nay, the judgement that he will pass.
“Sinners of the planet Isurica!” A booming voice followed the echoes of the bell, however it was not one coming from a place, rather one that encompassed all of sound as a whole. Be it awake, asleep, near or far all ears were reached.
“Today is the day… What day you may ask? Well it's a Wednesday for one. As for two.. Today is the day of judgement. I have lived among you for quite some time, long before I came to this planet, your rulers, the most fascinating of minds and strongest of warriors. Deemed a crucial part of existence as obsolete.” His voice rang, no-one knew the voice yet all could hear it. It was firm yet soothing, the words spoken and the tone couldn’t be further opposed, and none could understand the meaning behind them.
“The gods which you have prayed to long ago, the gods who brought salvation and mercy upon your mortal souls… All but perished by none other than your design. Well technically the design of those whom you follow, however even if individually most of you have done nothing to aid these schemes, none of you stood against them. Which makes all of you just as guilty. However fret not, rather you should rejoice, for I come to return you to the cycle, you will get another chance.” As abruptly as the voice entered it left. A message which was clear can get lost in translation, most paid no attention to the words they heard, maybe it was due to the lack of understanding, and for some a lack of care. But those that knew and understood had different reactions.
“Who!? WHO!? And why does he know?!” A heavy fist landed smashing into the top of this planet's oak equivalent of a table. The surface of the artisanal piece of furniture had marred, as a glass of whiskey shook and spilt a couple of drops, whilst the pens fell from their stands. With a furrowed brow and clenched teeth the old gentleman's gaze focused on the mess as his pupils widened. He was one of the few that knew who the words were addressed to, as well as the ringleader of past tragedies.
“After all our hard work, after all this time… I knew there was more, more to the words that god spoke! I heeded them, I prepared, and I will not go down without a fight! Too much has been gained and there is too much to lose. The saving grace is that we have eyes all over the globe no matter where he or they strike first I will know, so come and show me what you’ve got!” His resolve was clear for he was the one who stood atop the hierarchy which he created, but alas his monologue addressed to the threat fell upon deaf ears.

No longer in the city the mysterious figure peered out towards the scenery.
“I feel like that one was quite good, maybe needs some work in certain areas but truly a defining speech. Lepus is truly doing ‘god’s’ work.” The mysterious figure from before spoke to himself slightly chuckling at his own remarks towards one of his faithful. The view could only be described as spectacular. Only some could ever get to experience seeing a planet from outer space and an even rarer few could begin to dream of doing something as grand as what was in store.
“It’s been like what? Eighty odd years since I’ve last done this, let's hope I’m not too rusty.. But then again that amount of time is nothing but a fleeting moment for those like me.” Even if his face had relaxed, his eyes that were fixated on the planet seemed… distant. Rather than looking straight at his objective, it was almost as if he was looking far past it, into realms that none but him could see.
“If I use it as is then the people here will never be able to move forward, adjustments need to be put in place.” He tilted his head slightly as he rubbed his chin with the index and thumb, almost making it look like his chin rested in the Korean love heart hand sign. “Although… no, that one will just make them suffer.” Shaking his head slowly the man placed his arms to his sides and let out a gentle sigh as his eyes tilted downwards. He looked at the planet for a brief few seconds before raising his arms and spreading them wide to both sides. Taking in a deeper breath his golden eyes got caught by a few rays of the star that the planet orbited, giving them a slight shine as they focused in on their target. He held his middle and index fingers straight as his thumbs rested on top of the latter, with the other two bent. He moved his arms straight in front of him in a swift, smooth motion and held them there for a second as a command word left his lips.
“Wolf”
He bent his wrists inwards crossing the pointed fingers over one another, and as the word left his mouth his hands completed the motion perfectly in sync.
“Sir our satellites have picked up a humanoid figure way past the exosphere, the figure seems to be closer to the first moon of the planet rather than Isurica itself.”
“Get me the feed now, we must find out who and wh-” The general's words were cut short. Nothing happened, nothing at all, well at least nothing that can be described or shown. After all, none would be alive to tell the tale and none could even fathom that an entire planet with a population spanning a couple of billion people, as well as millions to billions of other life forms just… vanished?
“All in a day’s work… well, closer to a century to be technical, however being pedantic about such sayings doesn’t sit well with me. But what do you think?” He spoke as he turned around to look behind him.
“Well? You’ve seen a glimpse of what I am, are you not interested in the rest? Who am I kidding of course you are! Otherwise you wouldn’t still be here now, would you?”
“Come, let me show you where it all began…”
