Billy stood in the middle of the street, surrounded on all sides by gun wielding ruffians hired to kill him. All his weapons had been taken from him and his assailants made the faulty assumption that he was now less dangerous.

Billy had both hands in the shape of guns, his right hand pointed at the head of a man with a ferocious horseshoe mustache. While his left hand pointed at the ground to his left. Given that they were ignorant of Billy's abilities, they simply thought he was a fool and not a threat.

As the fingers of the men surrounding him began to squeeze the triggers of their guns, Billy fired a [force shot] into the face of the mustachioed man. The resulting force accelerated his head into the ground with such speed that it shattered like a watermelon dropped from height, while also knocking over the men on either side and behind Mr Moustache.

Simultaneously, Billy fired another [force shot] from his left hand into the ground to his left side. This caused three things to happen. First, the men standing there had their legs shattered, second, a massive hole was made in the ground, and third, the dirt from that hole was kicked up into a giant dust cloud, blinding everyone.

Billy used the resulting chaos to dive forward, over the corpse of the previously mustachioed man. He rolled to one knee, now in the second line of enemies, crossing his arms he fired two more [force shots] at an upward angle at the two men closest to him on his left and right. Both men were launched from the ground like they had been kicked by a particularly ornery horse. Their launch angles caused them to collide with the men closest to them, creating a domino effect and knocking over and seriously injuring several other men.

By this point the remaining hired guns realized they were in danger and so started firing into the cloud of dust while trying to retreat to cover. Their blind firing mostly managed to kill or injure their own men, with only one bullet actually grazing Billy's arm.

The disorganised retreat allowed Billy to slip into the large building on his left that a good number of enemies had been holed up in for the ambush. As more men ran into the building, Billy moved with them, allowing him to get behind them unnoticed. The men all faced out into the street, guns pointed at the settling dust cloud.

The hired guns watched nervously as the dust cleared up showing the grisly sight of numerous dead and decapitated bodies and many more injured men trying to crawl to safety. As silence fell over the scene, Billy moved to the second floor of the building and made his way to the doors out to the balcony. Peering out, he was able to see 4 men with rifles hiding behind upturned tables and empty crates.

Their spacing made it so that a lightning shot would be unable to jump between them and a fire shot would make the building burn with him in it. Selecting his newest spell, [metal shot], Billy took a quiet step out onto the balcony, lined up shots at the closest two men and fired. The metallic bullets struck the men in the back of the head, entering their skulls and obliterating their brains. The two men slumped, one getting caught up on his table and the other sliding to the ground from the crate he was leaning on.

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Although firing [metal shot] was almost silent, the thump of the rifleman falling to the wooden deck alerted the third man who looked up and was immediately shot. The fourth man didn’t even notice anything was wrong and died still looking down at the street.

Having not seen Oscar in the building he had entered and not being able to see him on the outside of the building opposite. Billy figured it was likely he was hiding inside and so decided to smoke him out. Crouching behind the crate one of the riflemen had been using, Billy selected [fire shot] in both hands, then stood up and fired 6 times at the opposite building. The [fire shots] sped from his finger-guns in the shape of small bullets made of flame, before striking their target and exploding into an inferno. The wooden building immediately caught fire causing a panic to those in the building and giving away Billy's whereabouts.

Selecting [lighting shot], Billy made his way to the stairs where 5 men were trying to hurry up to the second floor. The men obviously had very little training or situational awareness, as they shoved and jostled eachother and only looked to the top landing of the stairs rather than the surrounding bannisters. Billy stood opposite the top of the stairs, looking down at the men, he fired two lighting shots, one at the pointman and one at the rear man. The lighting surged up and down the line of men, electrocuting them and causing a cacophony of thuds as the bodies tumbled down the stairs. This, naturally, alerted the remaining men in the downstairs room, who now took cover and aimed their guns at the stairway.

Billy selected [force shot], aimed at the center of the floor and blasted a massive hole in it. The men down stairs reacted by blindly firing at the new hole. None of their shots came close to Billy, who walked to the left side of the room with a swagger where he could see down, through the newly made hole, to the right hand side of the room below.

He immediately paid for his overconfidence as a bullet struck him in the arm. Although [regeneration] ensured this wouldn’t be a life threatening injury, that did not stop the pain. “By the whiskers of a mule, that hurts” cried out Billy as he instinctively grabbed the wound.

Looking down into the hole he spotted the man responsible. A short, hirsute, and rotund man, stared back up at Billy with a look of surprise on his sweaty face. His look turned to one of confusion as Billy pointed his left hand at him, the reality of the situation still escaping him.

By the time the sweaty meatball of a man realized he was in danger and started trying to scramble away, it was too late. The [fire shot] struck him before he could get to his feet, engulfing him, and the areas around him flame.

Seeing a man spontaneously combust in front of them was finally enough to break the spirits of the men remaining in the building as they started to flee. The fire quickly began to spread throughout the wooden building. Billy strode down the stairs, through the fire, and stepped out the door as the flames climbed all around him in what would have been a terrifying and dramatic reappearance to anyone watching. Unfortunately, no one was watching because they had either already run away or were hiding in the building opposite which was now consumed in fire, and so were busy trying to not die.

Billy watched as Oscar crawled across a plank from the building's balcony to the low roof of an adjacent building. He then kicked the plank so it fell, preventing anyone else from crossing. “That man is as trustworthy as a fox in a hen house, it really is a miracle no one has killed him yet” mused Billy as Oscar tumbled off the roof then limped off in the direction of the general store.

Billy ignored the chaos he had created by setting two buildings on fire and began to stalk after Oscar. “Where are you going Oscar, I just want to talk” called Billy.

“Thats..thats a damn lie, Billy. I know you’re going to kill me” replied Oscar, as he stumbled for safety from his pursuer. He blindly fired a pistol in a desperate attempt to save himself. The bullet didn’t come within 30 feet of Billy, instead murdering an innocent pot plant and scaring a local cat, Paw paw Mcgraw. “Whole town is going to hell,” said Paw paw Mcgraw as he melted into a shadow.

Oscar slammed the general store's door shut and ran into the store room, shutting and locking that door behind him. The entry bells ringing gave away Billy's arrival. Oscar listened as the floorboards creaked under Billy’s weight as he approached the storage room.

Billy’s strength had been slightly enhanced from whatever had happened to him, it was more than enough for him to be able to rip the flimsy wooden door off its hinges. His enhanced speed allowed him to dodge the fireball that flew through the doorway and exploded into the shelving at the front of the store. Billy fired an [ice shot] to stop the flames from spreading and engulfing the store.

“I see you held on to my guns, Oscar. I was sure you had sold them”

“I..I did, to the store keep. I just took them back”

“What did you do with the storekeeper, by the way? I liked that guy.”

“I..I don’t even know. We tried to jump him but he just kept disappearing. Then he said something about us violating the spirit of commerce and took Bob. I never saw either of them again. I don't even know what's going on in this town anymore.”

Billy took the chance to rush into the room, hoping that Oscar was distracted by his whining. Unfortunately, Oscar had been smart enough to position himself deep into the room, creating too large of a gap for Billy to close before another fire bullet could be fired.

Rather than dodge out of the way, Billy instead fired an [ice shot], the two attacks collided and dissipated into steam and smoke.

“What…what the hell are you?” asked Oscar as the gun he was holding clattered to ground

“Truth be told, I don’t rightly know. But I am enjoying it” replied Billy as he stepped up to Oscar, backing him against a wall

“You…you wouldn’t kill an unarmed man, right Billy? Think about your honor, your…your morals” pleaded Oscar

“Boy, you must be a few cards short of a full deck. You’ve only known me for two weeks, you have no idea who I am.” Said Billy as he struck Oscar in the face, knocking him to the ground and causing blood and teeth to fly from his mouth. “You shoulda’ asked the Hog what he had on me, then maybe you would have realised that crossing me is a bad idea”

“The..the Hog, this was all the Hogs idea. He’s… he’s going to come for you, especially if you kill me”

Billy extended his arm, pointing his finger-gun at Oscars head “Oh, I am counting on it” said Billy before putting a [metal shot] through Oscars skull, finally ending the scoundrel.

On his way out of the general store, Billy took some provisions and left some coins on the counter, just in case the storekeeper came back. He loaded up a horse and set out. He fired a few [ice shots] at the buildings he had set on fire on his way out of town, extinguishing the flames but still leaving them in a sorry state. Billy disappeared into the surrounding plains and hills, intent on getting stronger for his eventual showdown with the Hog.
