A Teshian Myth of The Blue knight

Long ago in a far off land there was a kingdom ravaged by a powerful demon

The people pleaded with their king for aid and so he called upon his paladins and priests but they could not catch the demon for it was to fast. And so the king called upon his huntsmen to aid the holy men, but they could not trap the demon for it was to clever.

And so the demon went unhindered, and the people cried to their king for aid once more , and the king said to the people “the demon is the fast to catch, to clever to trap and to mighty to kill, I can do nothing more for you”. “FOOL!” Called a knight in blue. Aghast the king exclaimed “WHO AMONG MY KNIGHTS IS DARE TO SPEAK AGAINST THEIR KING IN SUCH A WAY!” “FOOL!” The knight called again, “The beast my be quick and clever but it is not mighty. Swear to me a favor I may claim at my leisure and your highness will find its skull upon your doorstep by week’s end.” The king seeing no path for the knight’s success agreed saying “You may pursue this folly of yours but when you perish do not curse my name.”

“Oh but this folly is yours oh king” spoke the knight in blue, and with a crack of thunder the knight was gone.

The night following the kings bargain was the same as those before, the demon slaughtered and went unhinder. The second and third nights past the king’s bargain were much the same as the first. But upon dusk of the fourth night there was a great storm that raged all through the night, lightning flashed and thunder roared, forests and field sburned, and rivers flooded. When dawn came the storm was gone.

The king went to call his court but something blocked his chamber door, and so he called to his guard to free him, once they had he spoke to them saying, “Show me what blockage trapped me within my chamber.” And so the guards presented their king with the blackened skull of a beast which had been placed upon his doorstep.

Seeing this sign of of the Knight’s success, the king called his court and proclaimed “find the knight in blue, for as he has fulfilled his end of our deal I must do so as well.” But none could find the mighty knight, and so upon his deathbed the king passed the knight’s request unto his son, but neither the King’s son nor his court could not find the Blue Knight either, and so The king’s grandson inherited their duty, and so it is till this day that the knight has yet to claim his end of the bargain he struck with the king.
