Royal Castle, Iolite
Two days before the attack on Iolite
A gray Eminus stone was set on the bedside table in the Royal Chamber, where the Queen of Iolite sat still. The weather was calm and peaceful outside. The white dove that flew past her windows brought her back to her senses. Her husband went with his advisors to draft for a new security measurement and deploy the royal troops down south. She finally had some quiet time alone. She picked up the stone and went to the empty throne room.
Queen Vida was face to face with a giant masonry wall, etched with the symbol of Iolite. She waved her arm slightly as the wall split into two. She walked into a long, hollow hallway as the doors closed after her. No one knew about this place except for the royal family. At the end of the dark hallway, a book was embroidered with golden laces.
The Diary of Solace. Inherently indestructible and carried the true history of the world from the perspective of the Solace ancestors. Below the Diary, there lay a box with glowing gemstones of two blue stones, a purple stone, a light blue stone, and a green stone. Each of the stones represented the current state of the soul of the royal family members.

The blue gems belonging to Gloria were glowing very dimly. Queen Vida caressed her hand around the blue gem. The memory of Gloria smashing her tiara in the throne hall played through her mind. She closed her eyes.
“Foolish child, what has happened to you?” She whispered, turning over to the green stone, laced with a small miasma. Her slender hands traced to the green stone. With a sigh, she held the Eminus in front of her face.
“Lucia is still alive and cursed,” she said.
The receiver on the other side sighed. “As I said, there’s no cure. Before I could perform the ritual, she vanished.”
“How could you be so careless?!”
“It was something beyond my control, Queen Vida.”
“Will she turn into a devil?”
The person on the other end went quiet. “The artifact we gave her could suppress the curse to a certain extent. One day, the curse would spread faster than the artifact could absorb. In that case, she will turn into one of the strongest devils.”
The Queen asked, “How long does she have?”
“At most two years. Even that artifact won’t be able to save her. I say we order her death immediately. Unless you plan to deal with her yourself?”
“No, please carry on.”
