Chapter 1

A girl covered in a plain cloak walked through a narrow path through an open field with many trees, the grass around the path was starting to wither and wilt away and the trees leaves were dying, and the wind was blowing furiously, and the sky was as dark as the night, and it was still the middle of the day. As she was continuing to walk, she approached a bridge with what appeared to be a woman with a large bamboo hat covering her face and a simple plain shirt and long pants as well as bandages around her limbs covering her skin. She leaned against the rails of the bridge and started to talk to the girl. 

‘’ Well, well where is a young girl like you coming from do not you know you can be killed with all these demons running about?’’ She paused for a second and put a hand under her chin. ‘’Then again, you look like maybe you can kill couple from the dangerous aura around you.’’ The woman said in a cheery fashion waiting for a response, instead the cloaked girl just kept to herself and kept on walking. ‘’Excuse Us!’’ The woman extended her leg out to interrupt the girl’s path. 

‘’Didn’t your parents teach you to respect those who are bigger than you or have they died a long time ago and your dusty brain forgot?’’ The girl responded by removing her cloak from her head revealing a light skinned woman with dirty blond hair tied up into a ponytail, brown colored eyes. 

‘’ You know normally if you were a bandit, you would just threaten me and take my stuff, if you were a seivolo you would just not care, and if you are a seigina then you would straight up kill me. So, get out of my sight and practice your speech some more.’’ The woman did not answer and instead vanished into thin air, just as suddenly she reappeared behind her with her back turned toward the girl. 

‘’ Sorry for that but it’s been so long since we tried to talk to another human that it feels so strange, but we just had to try to talk to you of all people I mean the legendary spear women Katedory in the still living flesh.’’ That last word was said with an air of malice as the young girl just noticed that she did not even look at the woman in question, so she doesn't even know what she truly looks like. When she finally set her eyes upon the woman, she saw that she looked taller than a regular standing at like 7 feet and well above her head, lanky and scrawny in figure with messy white hair, the bamboo hat covered up what her face could look like but was noticeable was that her clothes looked weird. She wore a pitch black long open coat that went down to her legs which showed a bunch of bandages covering her body and a bronze bracelet. 

‘’ We all should get to know each other before you die.’’ Katedory then reached inside her cloak and then started to pull out a long shiny golden spear out of her chest and in a singular motion pointed towards her with a fury in her eyes. 

‘’ Listen here seigina if you know of me then must be smart enough to know what I’m capable of, don’t make this difficult for yourself.’’ She knew that the woman would most likely just ignore her warning, but it is only fair to give warning to those who wished to die. 

‘’We are sorry Kate, but you have lived so long that your soul has so much light and darkness inside it like a perfect balance. We need that balance to fix our mistakes and achieve our goals and you being alive makes that extremely hard.’’ Her coat then opened so wide that it almost covered the entire bridge in length. ‘’WE REFUSE TO FAIL!’’

 From inside the coat purple lights started to glow and then out of the coat massive blast started to come from the coat and made their way to Katedory. In response she broke the bridge beneath her and went underneath it and appeared on the other side of the bridge behind the woman to stab her. The woman caught this in time and teleported a few feet away from her. The woman then retaliated by sending a piece of her coat above Kate; she then sent down the same energy towards her from above forcing her to dodge backwards. Kate then threw her spear upwards and when it came back down, she kicked it with so much great force that the bridge underneath them broke apart as it went by. Just as the spear was almost to her it started to slow down, eventually coming to a stop right in her face in the middle of the air. The rubble from the bridge was already up in the air and Kate herself had also stopped moving as around the bridge a blue field had formed around them with clock arm silhouettes ticking around them. The woman looked at the spear right in her face, and then opened a portal right in front of it which then opened another one behind her. She then hopped up on the rubble and started to climb it to the top. She then pulled out a very sharp and big clock arm and threw it at her. Just as both were closing in on her, she started to glow a dull light and in an eye blink she caught her spear and then caught the clock arm and sped her way up to the woman. The woman’s eyes turned into saucers at seeing this and was frozen in place and shouted. ‘’SHE BROKE THROUGH OUR TIME!’’ Then she was blasted by both the weapons sending her crashing down to the ground below. Kate then landed on the other side of the now demolished bridge and sat down for a little while to gather herself. ‘’ Should have listened to me and walked away, well at least she is now sleep down in the ground.’’ She then stood up and ran off to her destination. The fight from the bridge caused a lot of devastation for how short it was but buried under some of that damage the woman got back up, with her coat a little damaged and some of her bandages starting to peel off.

 ‘’HEHEHE, that is what we get for trying to just jump her without a full proof plan. At least she is drenched in soul, that fight alone gave us a generous amount.’’ She brushed off some of the dirt and covered herself in her cloak. ‘’Get ready KATEDORY next time we fight we’ll be the only ones to come out alive.’’ Then she vanished from her spot, the only thing that was left was a destroyed bridge and a giant crater to the side. 

Not enough words could describe how Katedory was feeling right about now; she felt tired, hungry, pissed and a million other things that made the rest of the track home in the dead of night. The place she called home is the town of Kamieru to Kurbi in the valley of snakes and frogs. She remembered the small little village that used to be but over the years, more and more people visited the town to know if the legends were true. Over time the more popular the town got the more people came, then they started to pay money to see the monuments of the past and hear the tales of the ancestors that have passed. Eventually this little village turned into a moderate town, and she concerned herself lucky enough to see it all develop. As she was finally starting to feel better about her day and going back to her home, she saw something that quickly got her blood pressure back up. In front of her temple stood two statues, very special and important statues to the town and even more personal for her. She took steps towards the empty pedestal and placed her hand on it, as the anger turned into sadness as she looked at the situation in front of her. 

‘’What sick freaks would ever do something like this.’’ She stood this way for some time, not moving from the spot. Until she heard her house doors creaking open, showing a boy with red markings on his face and arms, in an outer white tunic with long black pants underneath them. ‘’Katedory, I’m glad to see that your back from your little journey.’’ The boy walked over to her while she was still near the statues. 

‘’Kipo, can you help me figure out why the statues are gone and how they disappeared under your watch.’’ Her eyes had fury in them, even though he knew it was not directed towards him, he had learned over the years to fear her whenever is angry. 

‘’Actually, the ones responsible are inside the temple- ‘’ Katedory shoot up and started to stomp her way to the temple. 

‘’-but before you go in there and do anything rash and damaging you should know that they did not really mean to do it and tha-that I think you should know that!’’ He knew the right words to say but he just could not. As Katedory opened the doors wide she rushed inside to give hell to whoever messed with her status but when she got inside and saw the people who were responsible and immediately broke down and started crying. The sight before her was two half naked boys sleeping on the floor. The one on the right had a dark skin tone with pitch black hair and an oval shaped face and the one on the left was white in skin tone with hair as white as the purest snow and a round face. It was them, her friends. 

‘’Oh, my Seiv, my boys.’’ She said quietly as to not wake them up.  Kipo walked back into the temple as quietly as he could behind Katedory. ‘

’Are you okay?’’ He asked her with concern, she only shook her head, ‘’Do you want to sleep on your bed, or will you stay out here?’’ Katedory did not even feel like answering the question, but she did not want to be rude. 

‘’I think I’ll stay out here for a while it’s been a long day, so I just want to think.’’ Kipo threw a blanket at Katedory and went deeper into the temple for the night. Katedory just sat there looking at the two boys sleeping. ‘’I hope that it’s actually you guys, and I hope that you remember me.’’ She said weakly as she drifted off to sleep. 

Earlier in a faraway mountain range the woman from earlier was sitting in a metal chair surrounded by the constant ticking of gears surrounding and a big clock in front of her as she patched up the wounds that she took from the battle. ‘’I still think we should have just drained the soul from her directly we probably could have gotten more.’’ She said out in the open to herself. ‘’Fighting her head on is basically a death wish that I did not want granted. Besides, we have enough soul for now, next time we will just do something different.’’ She stood up from her seat and started to walk towards the clock. Then her coat flew off her and onto the clock and started to send energy into it causing the arms to spin furiously around and white and dark energy started to spill out a bit. 

‘’I’m just surprised we were able to find her so soon I expected to find her in like a month or two.’’ 

‘’’That’s why I usually do the thinking for us, besides, you heavily underestimated my wonderful butterflies.’’ Then she heard the sound of wings fluttering by and saw a sparkling blue butterfly near her. She extended her index finger and the butterfly landed on it. ‘‘Here is one right now, what do you have to show me little one?’’ The butterfly then flew up and then landed on a metal platform and then opened its wings, and then a set of magnifying glasses placed themselves in front of the wings and displayed what was on them. The wings displayed two pillars of energy, the same black and white energy that they needed. 

‘’Holy seig look at that soul power! So much of it in one place, two powerful seivolos must have just been born and by the looks of it, it is from the valley of snakes and frogs…’’ She paused for a moment as she started to take in this new revelation. ‘’We were just there for Seiv sake! Now we gotta go back and deal with Katedory at the same time.’’ She let out a heavy sigh before gaining her composure. 

‘’No, we do not, the newborn’s will not be going anywhere and frankly I do not want to deal with Katedory without a proper plan. Besides, I have a few other projects I wish to try out.’’ She then clapped her hands together which then opened a metal door which led to a dimly lit room with a bunch of drawings and sketches of different designs of machines. ‘’Now let us create some plans.’’ And so, she went to work coming up with ways to end the so-called newborns and Katedory.
