Interlude 1
Argosphael - Unknown location
She as been connected for at least three hours, maybe even four, why can’t I find her! The man was in his forties, his mixed black and silvery half-long hair dressed into a ponytail that whipped the air each time he took a sharp turn pacing the ground in his anxiety.
“All reports from Islanzadi are negatives. Same for the Necropolis, the Silver Tower, Ponténaux and Galowsan.” Said a girl in the second half of her twenties, reading the symbols that were appearing one after the other on the scroll she was firmly holding.
“Tsss, where did she spawn?” He thought all aloud with a voice full or irritation.
“Hey. Looked at me.” Said the woman, her voice steadfast. Argosphael turned his head, looking at her. “That’s enough. If your niece we’re talking about. I may not have met her yet, but if she has only a tenth of the skills and luck you or your little brother have, she’s surely perfectly fine right now. Fuck, with a tenth of that she’s surely already butchering a legendary boss or another! So now you stop yourself and you take two seconds to think: compared to you, what’s her skills and luck?” And he did indeed stop in his tracks, caressing his lips as he was thinking.
Does his niece have the same tic when she’s thinking? A smile was starting to bloom on the face of the middle-aged man, broadening as time passed. “A lot more than me. Yes, you’re right, I’m sure she’s already been dealing with a boss around this time, it wouldn’t surprise me.“ He said, nodding his head with sincerity. “Could be interesting to ask her which one she killed…”

Wait wait wait that was a joke you know right? No summoned could realistically deal with a boss right after their summon… no?
“What you say is wise, I need to stop freaking out for nothing.” He look became resolute.
“Call all the recon team back, we’ve lost enough resource for today. Anyway, with the chance she has, she surely spawned in a Bastion.” “Copy. I’ll redistribute the resources to reinforce the covering over the Drèmesse Empire.”
“Good idea. Keeping an eye over Drèmessse is never a bad idea. And we’ll finally get back to work.”
“Ah? So we’ve a target today?”
“Yes. We’ll go to the twenty-seventh floor of the Infernal Tower.
”Ah, just that.” She said with a sarcastic voice.
“Well, third time’s a charm, right? I’ve created a whole new tactic, I’m sure we can kill it this time!”
“Humpf…”
“Don’t humpf me, I can assure you it’ll work!”
“Welp, you’ll need to convince me.” She said while rising from her chair. Seeing her grumbling but full of energy, Argosphael couldn’t help himself and the outline of a smile appeared over his face. She had the same look when she was a child and she did not want me to see that she was excited. Some things don’t change, it seems.
“Aren’t you coming, old man? Do you need a rollable walker?”
“I’m coming I’m coming, you little impatient!” And he started walking after her, following Kira, the miss he made a contract with, nearly twenty years ago.
