In the Arabian desert where the golden dunes ruled while the humans simply sought safety, located near the middle stood a small base made mostly of concrete with a hexagonal shape with each edge having a 'shield' going up about 8 feet and wide 3 feet. On the base stood two men both dressed in desert camouflage to blend into the desert itself. one was a large black man who could almost be called fat but wasn't at the same time, Grif, he stood at 6 foot 3 and looked like he would run around and hug someone to kill them he had waves and bright amber eyes with the biggest smile on his face like he was at a carnival.
The other man, Alex, was about 5 foot 11, was white with a slight tan and was rather skinny compared to the black man, but still quite filled out with muscle. He had long black hair and grey eyes, with a smirk on his face he looked like the type of man who would walk into a bar alone and come out with 4 women in his arms an hour later. they were simply standing around chatting with each other while waiting for something even remotely interesting to happen instead of looking at the golden sea known as the desert.
"Do you ever wonder why we are here?". Alex asked Grif. "It's one of life's great mysteries, isn't it? Why ARE we here? I mean, are we the product of some cosmic coincidence, or is there really a god? watching everything? You know, with a plan for us and stuff? I dunno man, but it keeps me up at night." Grif answered, Alex simply stopped for a moment before asking "...... What the fuck are you on about Grif? I meant why are we out here, in this godforsaken desert?" Grif simply and quickly dropped his eyes to the floor before picking them back up and staring at Alex.
"Oh, uh.... yeah." was all he said. "what was all that stuff about God?" Alex asked, with an incredulous look on his face. "Uh..... Hmm? Nothing." Grif simply acted as if he never said it. "You wanna talk about it? "No." "You sure?" "yeah"...... "seriously though why are we out here. as far as I can tell we are in the desert with nothing in sight for miles on end. in the middle of fucking nowhere. and the only reason we set up here was that SOMEONE thought that they had seen SOMETHING out here." Alex continued to complain to grif for a good minute or so about how useless the US military is sometimes.
Not the thing you should probably say when you are a private, but Alex certainly didn't give a fuck right about now. "Right, well I'm going back into the shade for a bit, you gonna come along?" Alex was simply done with the heat, and almost anything would be better than it right now.
"Sure, sure. Hey, you wanna play blackjack?" grif responded with a slight begging tone in his voice. "seriously man what the fuck is up with you and always wanting to play blackjack. I mean I get it, gambling is fun but at some point, it has to get boring." He stated with an incredulous look on his face.
"well, it will obviously get boring if you don't play it without gambling something precious to you. If you just play with no stakes it loses all points to it. " Grif spoke about gambling with a righteous face on as if gambling was his lord and savior itself.
"Just admit it already, you're addicted to gambling and you have been for years." Alex didnt want to play through with it and simply put out the truth for him to hear. "*GASP* HOW DARE YOU GOOD SIR!" grif basically shouted with fake anger plastered on his face but his eyes just showed amusement. by the time we had gotten to the room grif had tried convincing me to go to LA with him about 3 times. "I'm telling you, man, you can make huge amounts of money on the poor suckers there. Come on, for old times sake?" He was basically pleading at this point for me to go with him. "Nah, how about we just read for a little while, it would be good for you." Alex shot back, though he looked utterly disgusted at the thought. Alex just shrugged his shoulders.
Alex was just about to go in when A deep and short gunshot was heard before a loud *CRACK* was heard from underneath the concrete. A missed shot. Both Grif and Alex immediately started towards the door while strapping on their helmets and grabbing their guns that they had left strewn about. They quickly opened the door, navigating the building looking towards the outside. "Get the binoculars, quick!" Alex shouted to Grif.
Grif immediately ran back towards the supply room and started fumbling through it while Alex simply stood guard just in case movement was spotted, as per procedure. "catch" Grif came back up before tossing a pair of binoculars to Alex who turned just in time to catch them before looking out to the desert for enemies. Just in time too, as a through the binoculars, a large group of men dressed in black were rushing towards the base. "SHIT! We need to contact command, then burn this place and run. We got enemies and a lot of them. I can guarantee if we tried to stop them it would only be in vain." Alex quickly shouted out to grif while keeping an eye on the attackers.
Grif immediately got to work as we both retreated back into the base. "you contact command and I will burn the information." Alex ordered while running down the stair well to the basement. He quickly picked up a lighter and walked through the rest of the basement, finding the files, and started to light them aflame. He stayed for a moment as he watch the fire catch more quickly and turn into an inferno, before running back up to find grif.
They saw each other just as they both reached the ground level, before rushing out the door, grabbing supplies on the way. They were sprinting like mad, and managed to make it about 300 feet before the foes managed to get to the base and began shooting. In the hail of bullets, we got to the top of a sand dune and slid down towards the bottom. as I hit the bottom grif simply plopped. I managed to hustle and get up quickly, though grif was simply sitting there.
"Grif! Grif! Get up! Come on man, hop up, we gotta get out of here." Alex was on top of him and speaking to him in an instant as he was simply spitting out one mouthful of blood after another. I kept shaking him while the blood from his clothes started to spread to my own. Grif simply looked at him, and Alex froze. Grif's eyes were fading, quickly.
They weren't eyes of a dying man, nor a man who would live, they were the eyes of a man who had seen something, something special, something magical. Alex knew, however, that he wasn't going to get back up. "I'm sorry Grif, that I couldn't do more before this." He whispered to him in his final moments as the light faded from his amber eyes. Alex bit my lip to while he thought up a plan. It was a dark one, but it was one that held the highest chance of vengance. Alex grabbed onto Grif's body, moving it into position and lying behind it, and placing his gun across his chest, all the while mumbling "Im sorry" to the already dead man.
Alex kept his gun pointed at the top of the sand dune waiting for the enemies to cross. And cross they did, practically jumping over the dune itself. As warriors of the desert, they were over the dune only to be met with metal to their bodies. Alex was spraying bullets, firing both his and Grif's guns at the enemy, trying to bring down as many enemies down with him as possible for his inevitable end. He knew he would never win, there were too many, but he would have at least some vengeance.
The bodies began to quickly pile before they stopped flowing like water and instead started snaking their way over the dune, to try to snipe him. when a head peeked over, Alex popped it like a grape, with grey and red galore. Alex managed to take another 5 with him before an explosion of pain shattered around his shoulder blade. while he managed to rein in his screams, he unintentionally froze, leading to another bullet finding its way to him, and painting the ground around him grey and red.

(Alex POV)
I opened my eyes, only to see nothing but pitch black darkness. not a drop of light to be seen in the area, leaving me alone with my thoughts and to explore my surroundings. I tried again to move, and just as before, something kept me from moving. I sent out the commands to my body, but there was no response. I continued to strain my body, trying to move Anything, but I felt that it was ultimately useless, as I could only wait. As the hours passed by, and the boredom numbed my mind to disproportionate degrees, I finally felt something.
it was small first, but it soon started to spread. It was but a small itch, but as it expanded, it felt like wildfire across my body, carelessly eating away and corroding me. I wanted it to leave, I wanted to do something about it, but a part of me knew that it was useless, I could do nothing, my body would not move with my commands. The feeling eventually spread all the way from my body to the top of my head. I felt it enter, slowly, ripping my being to pieces as it struggled to grasp at me. I felt myself slowly losing something, first, it was the sense of touch, but soon after followed my hearing, smell, and finally sight. It felt like I was in a completely vacant space, with nothing around me, and nothing in me. I existed, but it was an almost fake existence as there was nothing for me. I simply wanted to die.

But, as with all things, it came to an end. I remember seeing nothing for a good while, before I saw lights start to appear, before blinking away once more. I was left in the darkness for what felt like years until a Huge explosion simply rocked everything around me. I saw a blinding white light, only for it to move around me in different small strands as they formed what looked like a large disk. I couldn't help but bask in its brilliance as it started to spin while it continued to sparkle and glitter like gold, I watched as small blots of light blinked in and out of existence in fascination, while I continued to try to figure out what exactly I was watching. I looked down at myself, trying to find my body, only to see a small white little wisp of smoke that took its place. I decided that it was bad for my health to keep looking down, and I soon went back to the white disk.
As I watched, it soon became apparent as I noticed small blocks start to form and rotate around the blots. I was watching the universe, though part of me knew it was impossible as what I was watching looked nothing like the Milkyway galaxy, and I soon enough found that I was right. As I watched it, small memories started to appear into my mind of a universe that I knew, a universe that I loved, A universe that I used to wish I could be a part of before I grew up. A universe that held constant wars with only brittle peace occasionally to prevent complete annihilation. A universe that held a war in the stars.
It seemed like the universe was waiting for that, however, because as soon as I realized that, my "body" was brought forth to the galaxy at light speed. I quickly flew by different systems, some I knew, some I didn't, until I came across a seemingly random planet. A planet that was lush and green, with a few drops of blue that I could see from space. I marveled at the sight, but it quickly ended, as I soon realized that I started to fall, down towards the planet. I, however, felt calm the whole time, till everything vanished.
----------------------------------------------------
It felt like I was being squeezed. not just a part of my body, like my finger or hand, but everywhere. I felt it continuously contracting before pulling me down. It wasn't exactly painful, but still quite uncomfortable. It took a few hours, but soon enough it stopped.
After it stopped, I was pushed into what felt like a freezing cold area, and as I attempted to look around me, to see what was happening, I found that I still could not. Rather than complete darkness, it was too much color. waves of color washed over me, competing to blind me. But it soon began to clear up and I could see once more.
I found myself staring into violet orbs, and as I focused on them, I noticed that they were eyes. which led me to try to find who they belonged to. I immediately started to take in the figure before me. "She" had Dark blue skin with large mandibles, bat-like ears, and two large mandibles that came from the bottom jaw that popped out while her mouth was filled to the maximum with sharp fangs. Part of me knew something else that looked like her. almost identical to her. An old bounty hunter who I felt held one of the most interesting stories there was in the whole universe.
Any other being would be completely horrified by the creature, but by this point, I couldnt feel anything but happiness at the fact that I was no longer in that area, and if she were the one to have brought me out, I would gladly serve her. She was looking at me with what I could assume to be a large smile, while her mandibles clicked every now and then and she hissed frequently. but I simply didn't care. she and I held a connection, the connection that I held with her was unseen, unfelt by any other than me and her, but it existed. A want, a need, a desire, to simply be by her side. I couldnt help but smile despite myself at the feeling.
I turned my head quickly as I heard a clacking sound coming from another area of the room that I was in. Just like before. I thought to myself, as I watched yet another being walk through a large metallic door that seemed to open for him as he moved. He was quite similar to that of the woman before me. tall, well filled out, and powerful in presence. However, there were differences. His presence was like that of a sith lord. Intimidating, powerful, and Very red. He had a maroon red skin, bloody eyes, and even his teeth were stained red. He seemed to be rather aggressive, as he was loudly clacking and hissing towards the woman, while she did the same. though I couldnt understand what they were communicating, I could tell the emotions that they held. They were both fighting, arguing over an unseen issue. I wanted to help, to try to stop them. but I could do nothing as I felt the darkness retaking me, putting me under. I simply dropped out of reality. I will survive. I thought before my spirit left my body.
----------------------------------------
On a green planet in an undiscovered sector, stood a mighty forest where the calls of beasts could be heard all over, resounding before stopping, then picking up again. However, there were no sounds towards the center of the forest, but rather silence.
In the area laid a large lake from which many different beasts and creatures, regardless of size, intimidation, or intelligence, drank side by side. one beasts specifically, stood out among them in size alone, as it could easily dominate the others. However, it simply drank like all the rest, while warily watching those around it. It understood the rule of the watering hole. Don't hunt others here, and others shan't hunt you. Though while this rule applied to most, there were those who didn't understand this rule and fought regardless. Those who did so died. not to the other beasts, but rather to the Others That would hunt down those who did. They lept from the trees and dropped like shadows, wiping out those who dare kill.
As the beasts drank from the hole, they were being watched from the trees by one of the said Others. He wore a dark gold and black set of armor paired with a large single-handed blade that seemed to shake in its sheath from excitement. The suit was predominately black with lines of gold running everywhere through it, creating a mesmerizing piece that would cause jealousy in that of even the gods themselves. Above the armor itself floated two small Orbs that hovered just above the shoulders acting like small reconnaissance devices, sending information back to the user of the armor, while also acting as camouflage. The armor itself was both hardy and intricate at the same time, resulting in a true masterpiece. The facemask held no mouth but rather had a voice box from which the user's words would be projected when they wished, resulting in an almost perfect stealth set of armor. Silent, blending, and built for speed.
(Predar pov)
I watched as the beast slowly drank from the river while keeping an eye out for any predators that may come to it. Unfortunately, I was the hunter, and I would not be so easily hidden from. I would not be so easily kept from. The beast easily stood at a good five meters tall, and seven long, covered head to toe in shaggy fur, and with curly horns that made Bantha's look like a child's. Add on to the sharp teeth, claws, and you have one of the finest predators on the planet. They were always some of the best hunters that were here, able to bully and pulverize most inhabitants. That is until I came along. I thought to myself as I smirked underneath my mask.
You shall be mine! A part of my mind whispered, but I simply ignored it as I continued to focus on the beast's body, looking for a blind spot, and as soon as one was exposed, I jumped at the opportunity. Literally. I leaped from where I stood, and dropped like a rock, falling upon its neck while I pulled my sword from its sheath, and plunging the weapon into its head, only to have it make a hard thunk. though, as with most beasts on this godforsaken planet, that wasn't enough as it immediately began to buck and jump around trying to throw me off. Before it could, however, I swiftly grabbed onto its horns before using them as leverage to continue slicing away at its thick flesh. By now the other beasts had already run away, trying to escape the fighting. Despite my fighting, the beast managed to throw me off, before rushing at me in a blind rage. I immediately rushed towards it before leaping over it at the last moment, causing it to barrel into the large tree behind me. as I landed, I immediately rushed back before jumping onto it once more as it shook off its confusion. As I landed, it leaped to the side, once more knocking me off, before charging at me.
This time, however, I simply held my sword in front of me. It blew out a large stream of steam, angered at the fact that an "ant" would dare to block its attack, before charging. I held my ground, waiting for the right moment. Once it was within reach, just as it was about to bite down on my whole being, I leaped forward straight into its mouth and behind the teeth. I immediately began to cut at its tongue, as it is the only way the beast can truly get me out of its mouth. With a strong swipe, I managed to cut through the mass of muscle as it bled everywhere painting the insides red. It let out a horrifying roar, loud enough to make a banshee look like a whisper. I could do nothing for a moment, as its very voice shook me down to my molecules. I felt the beast shaking, knocking me around inside it before I grasped at my sword and plunged it into the roof of its mouth. I felt as my blade plunged through its skull and into its grey matter, causing it to slowly stop before falling with a loud crash.
I walked to the front of its teeth, pushing them apart to clear a bloody entrance for me to exit through. As I walked out onto the grass, I looked back upon my kill. I could clearly see the resentment and anger that it still held in its eyes after its death. Blood was running down its chin from its nose and ears. I barely felt anything though. No pity, no sadness. I had crushed those emotions long ago. Why should I give pity to my enemies? I snorted to myself at the thought. My enemies are should just kill themselves when they see me. I ignored the monster and began to walk back to the home I had made for myself. After all, the time was coming, and it was coming quickly.
