“So let’s check it out already!” Robin insisted.
“Alright! Alright! Take it easy, man! This is kind of serious...” Gary stared at the book in his trembling hands. “What could be in this thing? It’s just a notebook. Kiwi didn’t tell me a thing about this!”
Robin sighed impatiently. “And we’ll never know what’s in it at this rate.” He grabbed the book.
Gary struggled with him, removing it from Robin. “Okay! Let’s check it out.” He unbuttoned the strap and then opened the book to the first page.
This is an introduction into the world of Pokemon. My name is Prof. Oak, a Pokemon Researcher. Born and raised in the Kanto region, I have been all over the world and seen an innumerable number of incredible things in my life so far. I created this notebook specifically to keep my quick thoughts in place, but it shall not contain much information as I do have my tablet. I suppose you could say I’m a bit of a romantic for the old-school way of doing things. I laugh. That said, this book is of critical importance to me and should never leave my side. Should it be found, please hand it over to the authorities immediately, if not myself. Thank you very kindly.
“As if anyone who found this baby would do that,” Robin snickered.
“Yeah,” Gary smiled lightly, practically hearing Prof. Oak’s voice as he read the contents aloud. Did he really just say “I laugh?” Was that his “lol”?
There’s only but a few things I plan to put in here. It may even end up being more of a diary than anything else. Maybe when I’ve filled up my other one...
It’s been a couple of days now, and I honestly am not sure why I decided to start this book up, ha ha! I’m not sure I’ll end up using this thing after all. But it’s fun to watch where this goes, if this ever does become anything. Or even if it doesn’t!
Wurmple: An unknown evolution, a pleasant reveal, regardless.
Gary sucked his teeth and frowned. This frown went away as his eyes started to water up, and he snickered. I thought I was never gonna hear another one of your poems again, Professor.
Robin laughed. “His poems. Man, I kind of miss those, now. Ha ha ha.” His last laugh was a lot less energetic. There was pain within it.
“He didn't even date these,” Gary noticed. “When was this stuff written?”
“That is weird that he wouldn’t date them. Maybe there’s nothing important in it. But why would Kiwi give us this?” Robin inquired.
“There’s something else in here, too. In the middle of it. A bookmark or something.” Gary flipped through page after page, written words with every turn, stopping where something had been placed inside the book, and the kids saw a folded piece of paper.
“What’s that?” Robin snatched it up, and Gary didn’t try to take it back. “It’s a letter?” Robin realized after he unfolded the paper.
Gary found himself recalling what Kiwi had told him about being the most capable of the three in Sinnoh to take on the contents of all of this. Why would she say something like that? Gary wondered. His eyes swept over a page in the book. Why would she choose me out of all of us to read all of this? What could be so-? His eyes widened. He couldn’t even breathe anymore.
“Dude! Is th-th-this a joke...?” Robin stuttered.
Gary wanted to see what caused Robin to say that, but he was too captivated by what he was reading.
“Gary, you have to read this! Prof. Oak!” Robin grabbed his friend’s shoulder. “What are you reading?”
Gary finally looked over to Robin. His mouth was wide open. He just shook his head, unable to speak.
There were a couple of quiet moments between them before they turned from each other and continued reading their information.
Located northeast of Jubilife City, northwest of Oreburgh City, is Alamos Town. But it’s what’s outside of the grandiose town that is of true interest. My research concludes, without a doubt, that the Mythical Pokemon, Jirachi, is set to appear there.
Gary’s eyes hurt as he stared at the final sentence after that. It stated the year the Pokemon was due to appear. The very year Gary was in.
It’s nothing but a myth, and other records dictate that this is not the correct year, but the chances are far greater than not as far as I can see it. The Pokemon who grants three wishes to whoever finds it. Unlimited opportunity. To actually verify the existence of this Pokemon confirmed to exist by so many others. Even a younger Ash Ketchum himself has stated the Pokemon to exist, and I certainly trust his word over even scholars who would oppose him. If we could capture this Mythical Pokemon, and perform research upon it, the things the scientific community could learn. Many professors refuse to accept a Pokemon can just grant wishes with no limit, but this is the very problem. We are too closed-minded in a world where such undeniable magic exists! We must be more accepting to the impossible if we are ever to accept the future! I do need more time to get my thoughts together, but realistically, I cannot do such a thing without advancing forward and getting my hands on Jirachi, somehow.
It would be better in my hands, than in the hands of more sinister forces. But who am I to judge power in the hands of another? That is to say, who is to say how far power can corrupt?
These spaces, Gary thought. Maybe they mean that this wasn’t written in the same time, or day. There could have been as little as a day, to days, between those last two statements. Or maybe, they were done only minutes apart. Prof. Oak was on the track of Jirachi, a Pokemon who grants wishes. But, why? Just for the research? Or was he after more?
“Gary, what’s going on here? Your book is a lot longer than a letter,” Robin said.
Gary looked from his book to Robin, but he didn’t speak.
“What’s in that thing?” Robin stared at the book.
Gary slammed it shut, not answering. He swallowed hard, nervously.
“Oh, is that how it is?” Robin smiled, surprisingly not laughing. “Kiwi told you it was just for you, right? That scientist even knew how important this was and left. Fair enough. Don’t tell me.”
“It’s not like that, Robin. The book talks about a Legendary, Mythical Pokemon.”
Robin’s eyes widened. “Oh, yeah? So does mine! A ha ha ha ha ha!”
“Really??” Gary couldn’t believe it!
Robin nodded, his face growing solemn. He then handed the letter to Gary. “You read it for yourself. I wanted a battle with you, but you don’t have time for that, I guess. You apparently are too busy.”
“Too busy? What do you mean?”
“With Prof. Oak’s research. So, I’ll just see you around, dude. Sorry to disturb you.”
Gary didn’t understand the sudden attitude he was picking up from Robin. “Rob, what are you saying? I wanna battle!”
Robin leered at Gary. “You have more important stuff to be dealing with with Kiwi and Prof. Oak and Scientist Gary, evidently. I’m out of here.” He turned his back on Gary and walked away.
“Yo, what’s wrong with you??” Gary called to him, getting angry, and he ran forward. He grabbed Robin’s shoulder.
Robin stopped and looked back at Gary, his face only slightly, but noticeably, less serious. “It’s cool, man. Just chalk it up to jealousy, if anything.” He maneuvered his shoulder out of Gary’s grip and walked out of the building, the electronic doors opening for him.
“Robin, what the...?” Gary started after him and then stopped. He stared at the letter. Why did Kiwi state she wanted me to have this? Why’d she give it to the Scientist to give to me? Why don’t I just call her?? He looked around him to locate a phone, but then stared to the door. Rob... He frowned and, shoving the letter in the middle of the book, ran out of the building. “HEY!” he barked.
Robin was already standing still, his back to Gary. He turned back, his face softened. Suddenly, he burst out laughing! As he approached Gary, his laughter stopped and he gave Gary a sad smile. “Hey, man, I’m sorry. I just didn’t like being left out. I was a little hurt Kiwi would keep the rest of us out of the loop. I mean, even Aly?”
“Let’s call her and ask why she did that. You know, she’s changed so much. She might just not be thinking straight.”
Robin’s smile was no longer present, and he stared at the ground. “Or maybe she’s thinking smarter than ever...”
“What do you mean by that?”
Robin looked into Gary’s eyes. “Dude, have you really been okay lately?”
Gary swallowed, caught off guard by this inquiry. “Yeah. Why?”
“I just mean, we didn’t get to talk back at the condo, and when we were with the scientist yesterday, I didn’t wanna bring it up, but, I just thought maybe things weren’t going so hot, you know?” Robin spoke hesitantly. “June and all... Do you know anything?”
Gary swallowed, shaking his head. He looked down sadly. “I know nothing about anything of it.”
Robin only breathed out, but didn’t speak.
Gary rubbed at his right eye, keeping his vision down.
People running around outside, kids shouting, Pokemon calling, a commotion or ten, all were going on throughout the huge city.
Robin held out his arm, a Poke Ball in his hand. “Just a one-on-one, Gary. I have a surprise for you that we haven’t had the chance to discuss. Might help out some, considering all the bad going on. Put a smile on your face, maybe?” A smile crossed his own face.
Gary eyed the Poke Ball with a mournful look, and it even took energy just to keep staring at the ball. Ready to just cry, he looked to Robin’s face, but he blinked repeatedly to keep in the tears. “Rob...” His eyes finally fell. “I dunno...”
“I know nothing will help, but it might just... help. Ha ha.” Robin didn’t stop smiling.
Gary grinned, forcing it, but it was still so faint. He didn’t want to, but he said, “Okay.”
Robin looked around. “Just out of the city there’s a huge open field. Let’s go there!”
Gary followed his friend, recognizing exactly where they were headed, and before long, they were surrounded by stretches of grass, trees, and a couple of really, really tall pine trees. Robin walked ahead, and Gary stepped backwards two steps.
Robin kept going, eventually stopping and turning to Gary. “You ready?” he grinned sneakily.
Gary looked down at his waist, thinking on who he should choose, wondering what Robin had to show him. Does it have to do with Wartortle...? Catherine? Something else? Does he own a Legend? Nah... Gary stared at one Poke Ball in particular. One he had meant to use for quite a while. He wasn't sure if he was avoiding it on purpose, or was just overwhelmed with the amount of Pokemon he had. But he thought about it a lot. There was something he was concerned about and would rather not address, but he felt compelled to.
“Catherine, I choose you!” Robin eagerly threw his option.
Standing tall, Catherine called out, “BLASTOOOOISE!!” She stared down at Gary and smiled. “Blastoise Blaaas!”
Gary’s mouth dropped open. “No WAY!! Catherine??” Gary smiled huge, flashing every last tooth in his mouth. “Wartortle evolved?!” his voice cracked.
“HA HA HA HA HA HA!! Thaaaaaat’s right! Blastoise over heeere! Whoooop, whoooop!” Robin pumped his hands in the air twice and then swung a proud fist upward, shouting, “YEAAAH!!” Then his arms fell and his smile disappeared. “Hey, man. I hear Charizard will be back real soon, too.”
“Hopefully, yeah. Him, and all my Pokemon. I’d love to have Catherine fight Charizard but I’ll have to substitute with one of my newer catches. I’ve been doing a lot of catching in the Sinnoh region.”
“Yeah, I got me a couple of guys, too. And now all these Rattata and my friend Ben!”
“How many Pokemon do you have?”
At once, both boys pulled out their Pokedexes and went through it.
“Just in Sinnoh, I’m at five, but seventy-two overall.”
“Six in Sinnoh, but one’s a duplicate so basically five, too...” Gary stared for a moment at his total Pokedex results, showing the differences counting and not counting duplicates. But his heart twinged with a different consideration. “Fifty-two total, counting a couple of duplicates,” Gary spoke a little glumly. He swallowed uncomfortably.
“Quality! You’re doing pretty good this time around,” Robin laughed.
Gary squinted at him and looked back down to his belt. He released his breath from his nose and then set his book down on the ground. With a shake of his head, clearing his mind, he placed his foot on the book and then grabbed a Poke Ball. Gary... What are you doing, exactly? he thought hard, his eyes on it. His hand gripped the ball even harder. “Okay, let’s go! Come out!” He threw it.
A white beam came from the Poke Ball, releasing the Pokemon inside.
The thing squeaked out.
“Uh... Gary? Isn’t that a Riolu?” Robin spoke hesitantly. “A Baby Pokemon? Ha ha ha...”
“Ri...” Riolu stared up at the much larger opponent.
“That’s right, but don’t count it out!” Gary checked through his Pokedex to find a good move.
“Ri,” Riolu looked back at Gary.
Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.
Gary looked to his Pokemon with a smile. “Get ready!”
Riolu kept silent, keeping her eyes on her Trainer. She nodded and then faced Catherine.
“If you’re sure...” Robin kept his eyes on the little Riolu, confused, but his face went serious as he stared up at Gary. “Catherine, we’ll do this the hard way, just in case! Hydro Pump!”
“FORESIGHT!” Gary smiled hard.
Catherine leaned forward, aiming her cannons.
Riolu’s eyes glowed a blue that matched her body and blue waves swept around the area.
There was a sudden noise.
“Blastoise!!” Catherine fired her shots!
With a snarl, something big and yellow arrived in the middle of the battle, and it kicked Riolu aside!
Crying out, Riolu flew off and slid on her side. Groaning, she looked at what had attacked her.
Flexing his arms, his body sparking, a huge grin on his face, Electivire stood strong in matching height to Catherine.
“ELECTIVIRE!!” Gary shouted.
“Electivire??” Robin said at the same time.
Gary looked to his side, seeing June’s bag now sat near him. He whipped his head back to Electivire. “Wait!”
Roaring, Electivire leaped out with both fists sparking and swung on Catherine!
“BLASTOOOOOOIIIISE!!!” Catherine was tossed back and ended up on her shell.
“WHOA!” Robin called out. “Catherine!!”
“Shoot!” Gary grabbed Electivire’s Poke Ball from his pocket. “CALL CATHERINE BACK, ROB!!” He tried returning Electivire.
Electivire’s body was outlined in white, and he then bent his knees and leaped over the red beam trying to pull him back in.
Gary’s mouth dropped open in shock, his eyes widened to a painful point and watering. He used Strength to power up his dodge! he realized.
“Where did that come from??” Robin asked.
“It’s June’s!” Gary tried to recall him from the air.
Electivire shot forward, a fist extended, and flew into Catherine like he was Superman!
Catherine wailed out, still stuck on her back.
“There’s no running on this team! Catherine, Rapid Spin yourself out of this one!” Robin instructed.
Catherine started spinning hard.
Great, Electivire is pulling this again! Come oooon! Gary fumed silently. “THUNDER, ELECTIVIRE!”
Electivire landed and waited, staring at the twirling tortoise.
Catherine’s body flew at Electivire.
Electivire held out his hands, catching Catherine, but his eyes burst open as he was unable to keep her in his grasp and Catherine knocked his hands away, colliding into his face! Wailing out, he was toppled!
Catherine appeared from her shell and landed heavily. “Blastoooooise!!”
Electivire raised his head and then shook it. He hopped up quickly and glared at Catherine.
Wait, his bandages! Gary realized with a start. They’re gone!
Robin had stern eyes on the Electric type. “Catherine, Rain Dance!”
Gary’s eyes widened. He’s gotta be mistaken, Gary told himself.
Catherine raised her arms up and called out to the sky.
The sky darkened instantly, the clouds going gray and black. One cloud in particular got the darkest of them all. Lightning flashed and rain started to pour.
“Really, Rob?!” Gary couldn’t hold back the fearful surprise on his face. “Rain Dance?? With a Pokemon with Thunder on the field?”
Robin smiled big in response. “Whatcha waiting for, then?”
Gary was stunned at this response. “Oh? Fine! Thunder, Electivire! GET HER!”
Electivire’s horns sparked, and then the clouds sparked as well. His body was engulfed in electricity and then he launched a beam into the sky.
“Withstand that and use Skull Bash right now!!” Robin pointed.
Gary gawked at him, stunned by his opponent’s decision.
The sky flashed a few times and then a thick blast came for Catherine.
Catherine bent over, her head aimed for Electivire, and she stood still. “BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASTOOOOOOOOOOOOOIIISE!!!” Catherine wailed out as she was hit by the powerful Electric move.
Electivire laughed wildly as Catherine was injured, made helpless to her weakness.
Gary stared sternly, glad Electivire did the move, but certain he would have done it either way. He knew Electivire wasn’t listening to him. This made him mad on a couple of different levels.
“CATHERIIIIIIIIIINE!!” Robin reached out for his Pokemon.
The Thunder finally ended.
“Blastoise!!” Without missing a beat, Catherine’s head gleamed right before she shot at Electivire, slamming into his stomach.
Electivire let out a huge groan as he was taken down. Grunting, he slapped at Catherine’s face.
She fell off of the Electric type and they both got back up noisily, facing each other, breathing hard with Rain pouring down hard.
“Electivire, Thunder again!”
“Catherine, use Protect!”
A blue forcefield surrounded Catherine.
Outlined in white again, Electivire swung fist after fist, blow after blow, at Catherine’s Protect.
Catherine didn’t react from behind the protective barrier.
Electivire fell back from it and the Protect went away.
“Iron Defense, now!” Robin followed up.
“Thunder, GO!” Gary tried again.
Outlined in light blue, Catherine pulled herself into her shell and it shined, becoming the appearance of Iron as Electivire swung at her with Thunder Punches.
The shell was flung about, Electivire running after it and continuing to Punch it.
Finally, the shell flew away from Electivire, Catherine’s limbs and head popping out as she screamed and slid on her stomach. The Iron appearance was removed from her.
“Catherine, back up!!” Robin ordered.
“There’s no way,” Gary muttered.
But Catherine stood!
“That’s the stuff, girl!” Robin cheered, cackling.
“That’s just crazy!” Gary couldn’t believe his eyes. How? “Electivire, had you listened to me! Gah, use Thunder while the Rain is still up!”
Electivire’s body was outlined in white as he lunged for Catherine.
“Go for Surf attack!” Robin decided.
“Blastoooooise!” Catherine sprayed a wide pair of waves from her cannons.
The Water hit the grass ground and combined, eventually growing, standing, and becoming a huge wave headed for Electivire!
“Electivire, just listen to me, will ya??” Gary watched Electivire’s fists spark. “PROTECT right back!”
“VIIIIIIRE!!!” Electivire screamed at the wave as it consumed him.
“ELECTIVIRE!!” Gary screamed out.
As the wave died out into the grass, Electivire’s body slid along the ground to a stop. His chest heaved and then he coughed out water while sitting up. “Vire.” Electivire shakily stood and then flexed his arms, smirking. “Viiiire!”
Robin ended up nodding, a stern look on his face at first. This ended up being a smile that gave in to a chuckle, and finally full-on laughter!
Gary’s shoulders fell as he frowned at his friend. How can he laugh right now? I’m so furious! I guess his Pokemon isn’t disobeying him; that’s why!
Electivire punched his fists together, sparks flying from them as he yapped.
Riolu was watching from far off, her face amazed.
Catherine was breathing heavily, looking much more worn out than Electivire.
Robin finally stopped laughing, but he kept a large smile. “Catherine, Surf again if that’s what it wants!”
“Blastoooiiise!” Catherine attacked again.
“PROTECT!!” Gary raged.
Electivire extended his arms and took on the Surf, taken down yet again. He stood up just as easily, coughing out. He was leaning forward just a bit, but still kept a grin, looking ready for more.
“Electivire, I think I get it already! You wanna battle!” Gary had a plan. “You wanna prove how bad you are, right? How strong? That’s why you jumped into my Gym match, and now with Robin! But, if you’re not gonna work with me, you can’t get strong and battle! Maybe we can work out something, but you can’t do this on your-!”
“Vire...” Electivire looked back at Gary, growling, and his horns sparked.
Gary dropped to his knees and then further down, covering his head, shutting his eyes tight.
“ELECTIVIRE!!”
“Catherine, look out!!” Robin was heard calling.
Gary looked up to see that Electivire wasn’t after him now, but was using Thunderbolt at Catherine!
Catherine moved just in time, avoiding the attack.
“Electivire, cut it out! I’m not playing anymore!” Gary stood. “This is enough! I never called you to begin with! We’re done battling! I forfeit!! RETURN!!” He held out the Poke Ball. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!” Gary dropped hard after being electrified by Electivire. He coughed dryly, painfully. His body gave a sharp twitch as sparks surrounded him. “Aaaaack...” he managed out. Something approached Gary and spoke, but Gary couldn’t see what it was from his position, unable to move. He had a feeling it was Riolu, though.
“Electivire, what gives, yo!” Gary heard Robin bark out. “Come on, then! We ain’t afraid of you! Catherine, we’ll go straight for Earthquake!”
Gary struggled to see what was going on, managing to his stomach with grunts and groans and sharp cries as the sparks jolted off of him.
Catherine raised her foot.
Electivire cupped his hands and a yellow orb formed between them.
Catherine stomped the ground with one foot. The entire place rocked and quaked.
Robin struggled not to fall but ended up tripping over his own feet.
Gary was still on his hands and knees but fell further to his shoulder.
Electivire struggled to keep his balance, leering hard at Catherine, and with a “VIRE!!” he tossed his attack.
Wait... Gary remembered.
With a snarl, Electivire cupped his hands in front of him and a yellow orb formed in between them. Giving a big yell, he shoved his hands forward, throwing the ball outward and hitting Jupiter’s Bronzong.
Gary held out his Pokedex, and his eyes widened. “Oh! I left it on silent,” he remembered as he read what move the Pokedex was explaining.
Focus Blast. This Fighting type move requires the utmost focus in order to land, for a big payoff result in damage.
Gary changed the setting back so that the Pokedex would read the data out loud before putting it away. “So that’s what that move was.”
Focus Blast collided into Catherine.
“VIIIIIIIIIIIRE!!” Electivire gave in to the Earthquake and was floored along with Catherine.
They both slid to a stop by the appropriate Trainer.
Robin ran over and knelt down by his Pokemon. “Catherine, you’re okay! Get up! No way you’ll lose to that thing! You’re better than that!”
“Electivire... Electivire, hey!” Gary wasn’t sure if he should be motivating the independent Pokemon or not, or if it even mattered to Electivire. “Electivire, are you okay?”
“Elect...” Electivire flinched and rolled onto one side. He ended up sitting up and watched Catherine.
Catherine’s eyes shot open. She turned her head to Electivire, but she remained against the ground.
“AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! YEAAAAAAAHH!!! I KNEW YOU-!! Huh?” Robin watched his Pokemon.
Catherine’s breath gave out and her head rested, her eyes closed.
“Rob... I think-”
“HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAA!!” Robin laughed loudly. “I guess you sorta win, huh?” He looked over at Riolu. “Is this some new training method you have to raise Riolu or something? HA HA HA HA HA HA!”
Gary stared sadly at Riolu, and then Electivire, and ended up back at Robin.
“Elect...” Electivire stood, grinning at Robin. “ELECT!”
Robin’s eyes widened at the Pokemon. “Does it want even more...?”
“It was one-on-one, Electivire!” Gary told him as he finally got him back into his Poke Ball. “I’ve had about enough of this guy already!” he said to the ball, lowering his arm, exhaling wearily at the same time. “This is insane! I can’t even train my own Pokemon with him around!”
“He must love battling,” Robin said, standing. He smiled at Catherine and held out her Poke Ball. “Thanks, my friend. We’ve got it next time, though! Return!”
Catherine was returned.
“I’m getting that,” Gary nodded. “I think I’m understanding him a bit, but not enough. What a pain.”
Robin walked over and reached out to Gary, helping his neighbor up to his feet. “So you’re playing babysitter to June’s Pokemon, huh?”
Gary stared at Robin, fighting with his weak, quaking legs to keep him standing.
Robin stared back with a bland smile, as if he was okay with what he had said, but was also considering it may not have flown over entirely well with his friend.
Gary smiled back lightly. “Until she’s back with us, yeah. Everything’s gonna be back to normal soon. My Pokemon, June, we’re all gonna be okay again.”
“I know that’s right, ha ha ha! Say, on the way back, how’s about we trade some Pokemon at the Global Trade Terminal?”
“Global Trade Terminal?” Gary repeated.
“Yeah, have you tried it out? You can set up trades with people from all over the world, any time! And how about the Pokemon Contests? You seen those?”
“I haven’t really been many places in Jubilife.”
“Dude, come on! You can’t leave this place without seeing everything in it!” Robin burst out laughing.
Gary laughed lightly with him. “I mean, I’m just trying to get my Badges and beat the League. I guess I could see the trade thing but I’m not really interested in the Contest stuff, personally.”
“Well, one place you have to go before you leave is the Trainers’ School!” Robin gripped Gary’s shoulder.
“Trainers’ School...?” Gary looked at Robin as if he were stupid.
“Don’t give me that look! They aren’t just for beginner Trainers. Those guys are teaching great things!”
“Yeah, yeah. Fine.” Gary rolled his eyes, having zero intention to ever go to a Pokemon Trainer school.
“You were always the one reading and being smart, and that school is a place to really see what you know. Someone like you will appreciate it. Please, just take a look. You might not wanna leave. Didn’t you wanna find a library in Sinnoh, too?”
Gary didn’t respond or react for a moment, just staring at Robin. He ended up nodding slightly. “That’s why I’m off to Canalave City next.”
Robin nodded. “I know, but if you can’t find this book there, maybe it’s right here!”
Gary’s eyes widened. Of course! It’s a school, right??
“I can tell from that look in your eyes you’re definitely gonna take a look, now!” Robin smiled wide.
“I’ll take a glimpse,” Gary smiled slyly. He looked down to the book Scientist Gary had given them earlier and picked it up.
“HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!” Robin placed his arm around Gary’s shoulders. “I’m telling you, it’s so totally worth it! I bet you’ll be blown away!”
“Yeah, we’ll see. Come on, Riolu! We can battle next time. Sorry.” Gary recalled his Pokemon.
Riolu watched her Trainer as she was returned, not reacting, or having much of any emotion on her face.
Together, Robin and Gary headed back into Jubilife City.
To get to the Pokemon Center to heal their Pokemon.
Check out the Global Trade Terminal.
See a Pokemon Contest.
Visit the Trainers’ School.
But Gary promised himself.
If the school here didn’t have the information he needed, as soon as he was freed from Robin, he’d be out of this city and on his way to Canalave City.
To try to obtain answers that might change the world.
