--------------------------- SURVIVE THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE --------------------------
Hiding in the daytime shadow, behind a small square facility, a young man rested his back on the right side of the wall, leaning his head to his left shoulder, he roamed the area with his eyes. Next to him to the right ended a natural rocks pathway. Across the path on a side view stands a wide two storeys building with a modern look, an all glass walls framed with metallic panels. the pathway stretched throughout it along with narrow lawn separating them. The area was abundant in nature. Most free spaces was greened on grass, adorned with some plants and flowers, while some building rise here and there above the scattered tree that filled the view with their leafed branches. It was a peaceful day, all you could hear is the rustling of the leafs as the wind play through the trees.
But Mazen wasn’t enjoying the ambiance, in fact he looked kind of frightened. his face was pale and his brows knitted, while his eyes was watchful.
‘How a nightmare could be this beautiful, shit it didn’t fit. but why the hell, i can’t see anyone, i know that i should be thankful but now that i'm moving it's kind scarier. It gives the feeling of an ambush. Jumping out at anytime of nowhere, it's like i get suddenly paranoid about sharks in the see, you can't get rid of the idea of what if a fucking shark goes out of his ways on exploration expidition, ruining my day with those toughts. well but now its fucking paranoia, shit is happening, the f*cking shark is here’
He went to left side of the wall, hiding the same ways behind it. Again he took a look along another pathway and its surrounding, it passed infront of the square facility, leading far to a moderate indoor facility, a sort of sport hall.
‘No one again! I know they are gathered in front of the library. But it’s not far from her, it’s weird man. Are they still holding the banquet!, oh shit i don't really know what i should do, i always desliked and criticized clueless MC, but now i understand them, the hard way. The situation is vague, unpredictable, damn scary. Anyway let’s just go up the library, then i should get a clear view, and maybe some good ideas.’
He turned around to the next wall of the facility and advanced slowly crossing the pathway, he crouched beside some shrubs surrounding the grass field in front of him. He flowed them to the right until the corner where both paths met.
‘Should i crawl! How stupid, it gonna slow me down for no reason, plus it’s gonna make more noise.’
Paranoid, he took another look again toward the library. Before he sneak between the shrubs hiding behind them from the field side. Then he advanced again toward the front of the library. He crossed another pathway that leads to the sport hall entering afterward a similar grass field. As he reached the the end of the field he could now see the square of the library, or would it better fit to say a square from hell. It was like a medieval times’ battlefield, the tiled ground was flooded with blood, devoured bodies decorated the view, around them scattered an appetizers of guts making the finishing touches. Some of the banquet guests were serving themselves sharing the meals, while others were roaming over there moving their heads like psychos. He looked away before the fear and disgust got to him.
‘Oh my god, huff huff………’
‘I expected the scene as i sea it start, but my imagination never was as clear as my eyes. This is human slaughterhouse, let’s get the hell out of here.’
Against him, to the side of the library. there was a stairs that leads to the terrace of the gate of the first floor. As he didn’t see anyone around the stairs he sneaked out of the bushes heading its way, eyeing carefully the closest zombies. He reached the stairs without a problem as they were not far, and goes up the stairs on toes, but soon enough he heard some fast footsteps getting closer, inducing a wave of adrenaline through his body as the beating of his heart overshadowed other sounds. Panicked, he run up the few steps remaining in one go, and he hurriedly headed toward the the stairs in the other side, but he stoped abruptly as he found a man in the landing of stairs, the man didn't hesitated to run toward him, but tripped on the first step he took on the stairs, hearing sounds closing he didn't hesitate to evad rock and rolling man and run to the second floor, fortunatly he didn't found any one there.
“Shit, i forget that it was also made of glass wall.”

He runs towards the the glass walls attenting to get a footing to jump heigher toward the roof, he barily mad one step, but he couldn't make a second one, nor make out another climbing plan right away, so he run frunticaly toward the door but to his demise he wasn't welcomed.
Hey is there anyone there! open the door, hurry!
Then he realized that he gave his chaser enough time to catch up we he heared the steps so close, he turned and he saw the first runners, so he rushed to rails to his right, but he found no way, as he turned, he found the man on him, instinctively he ducked his hand rolling his upper body underneath them evading to the side. not controlling his momentum the man's legs collided on the handrail while his body plied, before the been sent tumbling through the air to his final destination crash. As he turned again he found another one coming, he tried to welcome him the same way but this one managed to grab his hand pulling him with him. About to get plied on the railing Mazen stretched his arm and planted it against the railing as a pillar, relying on it to stop the momentum, but that didn't work well as the power lift his legs immediately sideways. instictively he hooked his lower legs on the railing and barely managed to hold on, ending kind of riding it, as soon as he balanced himself. he kicked the zombie's face brutally trying to break his hand free, before the footsteps’ owners up the stairs come out. He kicked his face until he casted him flipping to the ground, while three other ones appeared and even more could be heard.
“I'm doomed, what do i do!!”
He could neither stay up nor jump down, as they approached, he could only take risks now relying on his old skills, he secured fast the first leg on the ledge, following with the other clinging to the railing. And before they reached him he climbed down gripping to the ledge, while his legs rested underneat on the wall. But that was his mistake, the first one arriving leaned extremely on the handrail trying to reach him, he was about to fall down taking Mazen with him, this last didn’t wait for his guest he welcomed him instead by grabbing the zombies closer hand, and pulling him down.
“go join your brother, mf”
Before the zombie touched the ground there was many other doing the same as he does not caring about his demo. by their numbers Mazen knew that they would surely take him down if he didn’t do something, Soon another one was falling on him at same time Mazen stretched his left hand then his leg grabbing ahead, shifting to the side, before the zombie fell missing him by a hair.
He didn’t stop as they didn’t, he moved to the right until he reached the end of the terrace ledge, so he couldn’t carry on. By that time the situation only worsened due to the commotion the zombies created attracting more. He could see zombie everywhere along the handrail and underneath him.
‘Never in my dreams i imagined myself in this kind of joke bullshit situation’
The only zombie proof movement in hand is to jump to a library window edge about 2 meter to his left. While it a short distance for a backward jump, it’s a long one to the side as there nothing to push off it. what's more its higher, about a metter higher, but he has to make a move here and now without delay.
As another zombie was diving toward him, his instinct take control, as he grabbed his left hand pulling him down using him at the same time to lift himself higher, he put his left leg on the ledge pushing off it. It was a reckless jump, all he cared about was reaching that edge, unsurprisingly as his hands landed his body swung counter clockwise pulling his left hand, slipping it from the edge, he pressed it immediately on the wall trying to slow down his body’s swing, he felt another adrenaline pass through him again as the remaining hand was slipping, hanging his live by a thread.
Another thread of hope appear as his free hand moved past a gap in the wall, he follow right away by sticking his fingertips between the panels of the wall, nullifying considerably the slippery effect of his swinging body, giving his hand a chance to secure the grip. When his body swung back he lifted his hand from the gap back to the ledge. And finally when the swing died, he lifted his body and seated there, breathing a mix of fatigue and relief.
‘I don’t know how this stupid head of mine came up with the idea that a zombie apocalypse is cool. Those damn movies made it look easy. shit all what’s gonna happen if i moved carelessly another time is get myself killed.’
‘But how the hell those bastards were able to recognize me as different, are they intelligent to the point of visually differentiating me, or do they have some super dog nose or what!! One thing i learned almost getting myself fk killed, those bastard are no joke’
