"Hello, user welcome to Survive the Night" a notification popped up right in front of Hwee-Yang, he was confused and puzzled. "What the hell is this and where the fuck am I?" As Hwee-Yang shouted, the only thing that answered him was his own echo."Kill or Escape for 9999 rounds!" "Survive or Kill?" another notification appeared after Hwee-Yang clicked on the first one. Suddenly, a timer appeared in front of him counting down from 60 seconds. Tick tock, tick tock, the timer gets closer and closer to 0 seconds. For some reason, whether it was his 6th sense or his intuition, Hwee-Yang knew he had to choose. Being a killer was definitely not it for Hwee-Yang he was just an ordinary guy living an ordinary life so he choose to survive.
After Hwee-Yang pressed the buttons to survive, he was sent to a lobby. "Choose your character, perks, and items to increase your chance to survive!" another notification appeared in front of him. A window of characters appeared but they were all grey-ed out for him. A note below the window stated, “Require Blood Token to unlock”. At this point in time, Hwee-Yang finally noticed something. All of this set-up was exactly identical to the game that he played and he remember that it said welcome to “Survive the Night” which was exactly the game he played before he fell asleep! Hwee-Yang looked around and saw 3 other person that was with him, they were Joon-Ho, Rooke, and Rosé. Their faces appeared as confused as he was when Hwee-Yang talked to the 3 of them he found out that despite not speaking the same language he could somehow understand them and they were all from different parts of the world. All 3 of them had no idea what was this about and the last thing they could recall was that they were all sleeping.
All of a sudden, “Game starting in 10 seconds”, another timer started. When the timer hit 0, Hwee-Yang was sucked into the void and sent somewhere. Hwee-Yang opened his eyes and the first thing he say was another notification. “Objective: Survive by escaping from the killer!”. He recalled his memory and he knows that to escape from the killer in the game, he had to work with his teammates to fix 5 generators to open the exit or he had to be the last one alive and find the hatch that will allow him to escape as well. Hwee-Yang looked around and saw many medical equipment and beds. So he assumed this place was a hospital. Just up ahead around 200metre Hwee-Yang saw a generator, however, he did not rush up to try and fix it. Instead, he slowly walked away and hide around the. Because Hwee-Yang knew if this was exactly how the game worked, the killer will be able to see his running marks, he did not want to take any risk in regard to this. Seconds after Hwee-Yang walked away, he saw the killer.
The killer was wearing a yellow butcher apron with blood around it. Maybe it was due to the color of the apron, it made the blood look vibrant and caused it to look especially menacing. He was holding a chainsaw and had what looked to be a hammer hanging around his waist. This killer had a name in the game, he was called Leatherface aka Bubba Sawyer. Bubba Sawyer was walking closer and closer to where Hwee-Yang was hiding. Hwee-Yang’s heart was pumping louder and louder, the surroundings was so quiet that all Hwee-Yang could hear was the Bubba Sawyer's footsteps and his heart pumping. Hwee-Yang tried his best to calm down but took a silent yet deep breath. Ping! “Congratulation, You have unlocked a new passive perk: Cool-headed mind Level I.” The notification sound scared Hwee-Yang but Bubba Sawyer does not seem to have noticed the sound. Afterward another window appeared and there were 4 slots. Hwee-Yang thought to use the new perk he had just received and it filled up one of the slots in it. Hwee-Yang realized that this survival situation was not the same as the game he played. As the game did not have such a feature where he could earn perks in the middle of the game.

After Bubba Sawyer walked away from his sight, Hwee-Yang decided to go and fix the generator. Despite not having touched a generator before, his hands start to move and fix the generator, connecting wires and pressing and adjusting the levers. Hwee-Yang had to keep a lookout around his surroundings and fix at the same time, this caused him to be stressed out. Suddenly, Hwee-Yang saw something moving when he was looking around. It turned out to be Rosé, the appearance of Rosé made Hwee-Yang flinched a little. This resulted in him accidentally disconnecting the wire and a mini-explosion exploded. Hwee-Yang knew he had to get away from here because according to what happened in the game the killer will get a notification about this incident. Hwee-Yang quickly told Rosé to get out of here. She started running while Hwee-Yang walked away from the scene. As soon as the Bubba Sawyer got there he started to run towards the direction Rosé ran to. Hwee-Yang knew from this that his prediction was right, most basic features of the games are still included while there are additional things that are added. It is safer to conclude that all game’s features are in and act accordingly.
“Congratulation, You have unlocked a new passive perk: Deduction Level I”. While Hwee-Yang was doing the generator, he suddenly heard a scream in his head. Hwee-Yang could see an outline of another player through the walls. It was red in colour and all of a sudden it disappeared. When the outline reappeared, it looks as if the player was hooked on like an animal. For some reason, Hwee-Yang could see the name Rooke above the outline. And he soon deduces that it was Rooke that got caught.
Hwee-Yang knew from the game that this was the first stage of getting hooked and after a while the player would get to stage 2. And after stage 2, the player would die.
