Apperently, adapting costed biomass related to the number that was displayed, to get to +4 it would need four biomass and so on.

It awoke, diffrence this time, the fog that had once covered it's mind was back, making its actions sluggish as well as a entire new sense of control, it saw.

Not in high definition of course, but it was able to make out rough images of its surroundings, it was in a dark cavern with weird mushrooms, as well as many blobs, it itself was a blob. Another thing it noticed was four more of itself, almost identical copies, they surrounded it and acted almost the same as it, but more confused, as if they had none of its memories.

In short, they were idiots.

This was a lot to take in, as with a new sense it gained a entirely new sense of control they was no longer a state section on its status.

Summery, Due to mutations, this species of slime has adapted well to its situation, even adapting the ability to recognize light, giving it an advantage over competitors]

New things yay, while the others were out doing something, it studied the wording of this summery, with words came knowledge, it would be the most knowledgeable Adapted Slime there ever would be!

It also recognized that it's adaptations were gone, but the main adaptation it chose was still there, it was obvious it was part of this Mitosis skill.

It would leave that be as it studied the world around it.

It looked for its new generation, as it called it. They were relatively easy to find from the unadapted Slimes, mostly because they would sometimes turn in direction, when the other Slimes would stay in one fixed direction.

It also took note that it seemed to be in a big pit inside this cavern, the walls curved, as if to specifically stop Slimes from exiting.

It kept track of time by keeping track of the roof, for every time a vein like trail pulsed, tiny mushrooms popped out of the ground, only to be consumed by Slimes at random, it also seemed like the new generation was picking things up fast, as they started to go near the mushrooms more and more often until they targeted them, it was also worth note that none of them split during that, just like it hadn't when it first got biomass.

They were obviously adapting their Cytoplasm because they were getting faster and bigger.

It was also time to get biomass,

Aproxamatly 4 pulses later, of which it called the light emitted from the vain. It decided to stop, it also noticed that only after 2 biomass did the option to use the skill Mitosis Lv. 5 appear,

Last time it didn't notice, but now it felt overstuffed, as if it couldn't even move.

It tried to adapt to the situation by spending it on its Nucleus but something stopped it,

So as any sane species with a big brain it invited into its cytoplasm.

This feeling was diffrence, there was no blackout, it could only feel that its body was being thickened and expanded, by the time it stopped it was 4 times the size of a regular slime, unadapted that is.

Since there was no reason to continue, it decided to see what happened to these mushrooms after more than one pulse, it noted that one mushroom produces .1 biomass, and started its researching career.

First step was to choose a mushroom, as the newest generation had cleared it out, it waited for the next pulse.

Pulse 1, it found the perfect mushroom, five infact, they were in a cluster.

Pulse 2, they seem to have grown, by consuming one it seems to have a biomass value of .2.

Pulse three, they have grown again, their value in biomass has doubled again, even though their mass hasnt.

Pulse three, the pattern continues, they are now worth 1 biomass, this is a great discover for my species, for overtime they amass more value.

Pulse four, grew alto, they are not twice my height, their worth has followed this pattern and they are now worth 2 biomass, it is worth to note that the idiots of the new generation are crowding me, wanting to eat it, they have only adapted to plus 2, so I can easily hold them back.

Pulse five, Big News, they started to radiate Light, after eating one they are worth 5 biomass, the remaining one, after half a pulse, released 10 miniature hard shelled blobs, which in the next cycle grew to be mushrooms.

This experiment was a great sucess, as it proved that sincem mushrooms make more mushrooms, there should be infinite mushrooms!

It was also discovered that, after 10 pulses, a chamber open up on the side of the caver, after some Slimes entered, it closed.
