Chapter 4: Transfer Student

Givan gulped, and said:

"Wow. She is really beautiful."

She noticed that Givan was staring at her, so she stared him back with a friendly nod.

That made Givan flustered, so he averted his gaze.

Ingrit cast a gaze of astonishment at his flustered friend.

Is this love at first sight?!

Then he put a smirk on his face, then patted on Givan's shoulder, and said:

"Is this what I think it is? Mmm, Givan?"

Givan got embarrassed a little, but tried his best to hide it. Then composing his facial expression, he replied:

"What?"

"Ah, come on. Don't act dump."

Ingrit said while smirking.

After slightly casting his gaze at the girl, Ingrit said with a teasing smile:

"Maybe, I will ask her out once I get to know her better."

This was actually coming from a guy who never even talked to a girl in whole his life, let alone go on a date. Even, Givan knew that he was just teasing him.

"Don't tease me, man."

Givan said, scratching his right cheek with his right index finger.

Ingrit's face became neutral, then he sighed.

"Don't worry. I just don't fall for any girl I see. And I have a feeling that I won't fall for her. Because, she isn't simply my type." Then pointing his gaze at her, he said, "I mean, just look at her."

It goes without saying that she was really proud of her profound beauty. The way she smiles while talking to those girls, touches her bangs constantly and everything else about her demeanor indicated to her being a kind of girl who would be hard to deal with. Moreover, she seemed to think highly of her self. It was quite obvious from her attitude. And, it was exactly that kind of girl that Ingrit didn't like the most.

"What are you referring to?"

Not understanding what Ingrit was referring to, Givan confusedly asked.

Ingrit sighed, and said:

"Nothing. Let's go take out seat."

After that Ingrit took his seat, and sat on it while Givan stood beside him.

"Then what kind of girl do you like?"

Givan asked with eager eyes.

Hearing that Ingrit flinched. He really didn't like to talk about his ideal type of girl. After all, he believed telling people about his secret would only bring a wave of great regret for him. Because, secret don't stay a secret after you tell them to someone. But still, since he had great faith in Givan, he decided to tell him. So, cleared his throat, and said with a little smug on his face:

"Older women. I like older women."

Hearing that Givan flinched. He didn't expect that kind of answer. So, he also didn't know how to react to that. But, more pressing issue was that he was about to burst into laughter, luckily ,somehow, he managed to suppress it, and exclaimed:

"Seriously?!"

"Got a problem with that?"

Ingrit asked, blankly.

Then he sighed, and said:

"Anyway, so don't worry. I not falling for her. So, go get close to her and then ask her out when the opportunity strikes."

After that they couldn't converse much. Because, the starting bell for the class ranged just now. So, Givan left and took his seat. Then, after awhile, their gorgeous home room teacher, same outfits and style as before, entered into the classroom. Then she put her hand bag on the desk. After that, taking a deep breath, she said:

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

"Everyone. As you already know we have a new classmate joining us today. So, let's treat her well and welcome our new friend. Saiya, come here and introduce yourself formally before the class."

"Yes, mam."

She gently said that as she stood up.

Then she went there and stood before the desk, then spoke:

"My name is Saiya Aintraz. I transfered from Jeff Highschool. I wish to get to know all of you better. I hope all of us can become good friends."

Everyone in the class were staring at her except for Ingrit, who was gazing at the sky while putting his right hand near his temple. That made Saiya upset, and she was burning with irritation inside her mind.

The nerve of that guy! I am gonna make him regret for ignoring me.

"Okay. Now that the introduction is over, you may take your seat."

The teacher said that while taking out the test papers from her other bag.

Seeing those answer filled papers in her hand made both the boys and girls nervous.

Then all of them began to whisper to one and another about how worried and afraid they were about their results.

"Silence."

The teacher put the papers on the desk with a loud sound, as she said that out loud.

In response to that the whole class became silent like a desert. Then she said:

"Good. Now, I will hand all of you out your test results."

Then she handed out everyone their test papers. Seeing the results, some were happy while some become very upset. But, for some reason Ingrit didn't get his test paper.

He was heavily shocked by this. He was not the type of student who would fail in exam, even though he only reads before exams.

So, it was definitely shocking for him. But, more than that he was worried about his parents. If they heard about that then things would undoubtedly be hellish for Ingrit.

So, with a worrisome face, he stood up, and said:

"Teacher, I didn't get my test paper yet."

She looked at him, and said with a straight face:

"Meet me in the staff-room after the class."

After that he sat down, looking anxious.

Saiya looked at the worried Ingrit, and smirked.

Serves you right.

After the end of the class, Ingrit met his home room teacher in the faculty lounge.

She put Ingrit test paper on the desk, saying:

" Who is the main heroine of Tesar novel?"

It was a question that showed up in the exam. It was, indeed, a very easy question to answer.

So, Ingrit answered with a confident face:

"Ataila."

"Then why did you write that instead of the answer you gave just now?"

Pointing to that question on Ingrit's paper, she asked that.

Ingrit leaned his head forward a little to see the answer. He was sure that there's no way he had written answer incorrectly. But, then when he saw the answer he wrote, his face grew pale.

The answer he had written was Armia Neumi.

That was the name of that female teacher.

Ingrit, out of embarrassment, lowered his head, looking pale.

Oh, shit. What have I done. Was I really so distracted that I wrote her name instead of the novel's main heroine?!

"Ahem. So, why did you write that?"

Having nothing to answer, his head remained lowered. He knew he was screwed, and there was no way out of this.

Moreover, he was trying his best to come up with an excuse, but failed to think of anything concrete.

The teacher sighed, repositioning her glasses, she said:

"You can have your sheet. But be careful to not make such mistake in the future."

"Yes, mam."

He said.

After that, he took his answer sheet, blushing a little.

"Also, you are a good student, you know. I feel like you are not taking your studies seriously. If you do that, you might become one of the top three of the class. I mean, you are already within top 10. So, if you try a little bit harder then you would definitely become a topper."

Hearing that Ingrit flinched a little. Because, the thing about him not studying seriously was spot on.

"Yes, man. I will try my hardest from now on."

Saying that he left the room with an unwavering motivation. He was feeling so motivated that he felt like he could take on entire the world. But, even before reaching his home, he would, without a doubt, loose all of his motivation. Then, the only path he would seek would be his good-old-pal ,who was non-other than procrastination, like he does every night.

What a weird guy!

Armia thought to herself.
