Supreme Eldritch Lord
Ch 8- Steven Barlow

Ch 8- Steven Barlow

It was dawn when i reached the isles. In about a few minutes i'll finally be achieving one of my key goals in this world.

While i was visiting different places in this world i've been able to learn many new languages. Surprisingly i thought this shitty world would never be united but apparently they were united in something. The power ranking system that everyone follows. It goes from like the weakest to strongest.

Beginner

Adept

Master

Grandmaster

Arch Human stage-1

Arch Human stage-2

Arch Human stage-3

Arch Human stage-4

Arch Human stage-5

Arch Human stage-6

Legend

At first when i learned of the power ranking from various different sources i was pretty surprised. especially the Arch Human stages. Then i later learned that it's not called that way to honour humans or anything. It was mostly because at this stage every being no matter which species they are from will be able to use a humanoid form. Thus to make it more understandable and easier they just named the six stages as Arch Human.

A beginner rank being can be found anywhere on this planet. The average rank of people are at least at Master to Grandmaster. These rankers are in the millions. But the real game starts from the Arch Human stages. When one enters these stages that's when they can finally be considered to be part of the upper food chain.

The first thing a being receives when they reach this rank is an Arch rank skill which will depend on the person the type of skill they receive. But receiving a skill is absolute no matter who they are whatever problem they have they will receive a skill. That's not the only thing they receive. At this stage one's body goes through a total rebirth. The cells double their number and evolve, the skin toughens more and they receive a mana core. That's what primarily is different about this rank from all the others.

The increase of strength is compound from each stage. The core get's bigger the higher one can get in the Arch Human Stage. After that stage is the legendary stage. Currently even the heroes have apparently never been able to reach this stage. Although i doubt that statement i still need proper research on it to believe it.

While writing the next entry on my journal i reached the place. In front of me is the house of the legendary divine sage. One of the very few beings who have reached Stage six. I opened the door of the seemingly normal looking house but to someone like me who can see through the house it is simple terrifying. The house is very big in the inside. At least bigger than a whole island. In the center sat a man donning an ancient sagely looking robe and a staff which had small cubic crystal floating atop it.

I could feel the immense power even from the entrance. The power was almost enough to destroy a country easily. Arch humans rarely fight in the open. They always fight in the blank dimension. It was said if two Arch Human fought entire races would be wiped. There are barely more than three hundred Arch human in the entire planet. At least that's what is known to the public and to me as well.

The Divine sage opened his eyes and ended his meditation. Just him standing up sent ridiculous amounts of energy, I had to try my best to not kneel in front of him even though that's what my body was trying to tell me to do.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

The sage stopped as if testing me and it also looks like he was satisfied as i could see a thin smile on his old face.

"So you are the one who wanted to find the truth of the reality stone" Sage

Reality stone that's what they are called i never knew that i thought it was just a catalyst something that was necessary for the summoning. "A reality stone is that really what's it called?"

"Oh my even though you've been researching an almost impossible task you don't know such an important thing."

The sage stated as if he was feeling very amused. Other than that he really is a sage to know of my objective ven though i've never even told him anything the other surprising thing was about his voice it wasn't old like i expected but a voice filled with life.

"yes. I do not know of it but thank you for telling me such an important thing great sage." I said trying to see if he falls for such thing or not.

"you don't have to try and flatter me little one i already know your purpose and my answer is that you'll first have to do a job for me." He replied with a mysterious smile.

"What might the job be that even you cannot but have to rely on someone like me?" I asked genuinely curious of something that can even make a great sage helpless.

"Oh it's not because i cannot do it myself it's more because i'm not the most optimal person for it. NOw can you guess what i meant by that?" He asked in a almost teasing tone.

"It's because you are not an otherworldy like me." I gave a straight answer that even managed to surprise even the great sage.

"oh you are a smart one aren't you. Well unfortunately or maybe fortunately for you yes it is true. At least it can achievable unlike what you are trying to do." He said with a hint of mockery in it.

"I know what i'm doing might be pointless and even insignificant in your eyes. But just because you think something is impossible doesn't mean it can't be achieved... Like you said it takes the right person to do it and i believe there is no one else other than me who can do this." I said boldly and confidently.

"Good.. good very good i like that confidence of yours.. it has been a while since i last received a guest would you mind having some tea." He asked in a formal tone.

I was a bit on guard but he's formal tone even surprised me. "I Suppose i can." I said it politely as well.

"Did you know there was another Hero like you, who was completely obsessed with returning home. To do so he even sacrificed half of his soul. In the end he was betrayed by those he considered allies. Because of it he sacrificed his remaining soul by completely detonating it. He was also the only hero who was a half-step legendary rank. That day changed this planet greatly and no one took heroes lightly after that incident."

He spoke as if he was there and was just remincing about it.

"He must have been a very brave hero to do such." I replied honestly what i thought about it.

"Yes he was...now let's get on the topic. I want you to get me the Stone of the Undead Pharoah." He spoke as if it wasn't a big matter at all.

I almost spit out my tea. The undead pharoah was a Stage-5 being. It might not be an apex being but it's main power lies in it's domain that even Stage-6 beings are afraid to go near. It lives in the domain of the late Kingdom of Ras'trd.

The pharoah was plotted by his allies and those he called his brothers. In his death the god of undead took pity on him and gave one of his divine spark to him. With the power of the death he commanded his people now as undead to annihilate those that wronged him.

In just Three months he destroyed more than 7 kingdoms. With his new might and power he created his New Empire.

The Empire of Death. With his army of millions of undeath and his absolute domain of death he was almost invincible.

"Of course i know that but what you have to take is not the divine spark but the item that was blessed by the divine spark. The dead Pharoah had a favourite concubine the last remains of her was a stone that she cherished. In honour of her memory he used a tiny bit of the divine spark to bless it in hopes for her to get a better next life. it is also one the most guarded thing in the Entire empire of Death." Spoke the Sage as if he was just teaching an elementary kid.

I just sighed. I am gonna have to do this if i want to get the stone of reality.

"Of course i won't let you go without support i will give you an item which can temporarily give you the status of an undead. Your job is to join the Undead Pharoahs Royal Legion and get the fame lot's of fame. When you have enough fame you can challenge one of the twelve Celestial Undead guards of the Pharoah. They are not that strong and if you fight wisely you can ask anything from the Pharoah as long as it is in his ability." He said it if it was just a simple matter of taking a candy from a kid.

I knew that i would have to do this to get what i want so without any options i asked him the details.

"How long do i have?" I asked bluntly

"You have about three weeks to do it right otherwise you'll have to bolt out of here unless you wanna die. Also do not worry i will give you a spatial Talisman which can even work under any anti-spatial powers. It will be your escape ticket when you have the item or when you fail. if you fail and the item is not detected you'll be automatically teleported to a deserted island as i don't have anything to do with failures." He said seriously for the first time in the conversation.

I Nodded and agreed. I was out in the streets again i was told to come here 3 days later till then i had to prepare my self for the journey.

I really hope this works out if it doesn't

then those of you who read this will know how i died.
