“Hope’s Peak Academy, the place of everyone’s hope and dreams.. Calm down ⬛⬛⬛. This is the start of your new life, so what are you waiting for? Yeah I shouldn’t be scared… Let’s do this!” The young student was very excited.
After taking the first step, the student’s vision suddenly blurred, and without any time to even think of what happened, the student’s consciousness faded away into nothingness.
-In a certain classroom, Hope’s Peak Academy.
All 16 students woke up in an unfamiliar classroom, with many familiar faces among them, although that didn’t mean that everyone was already acquainted.
“What the hell just happened?” A small, petite boy with golden blonde hair and blue eyes suddenly spoke. Everyone was still groggy after waking up from being knocked out.
“Does it look like we know any more than you do?” Another guy with a intimidating aura sneered at the boy. Although it didn’t seem like he was strong, even his aura was enough to run chills down your back.
“Shouldn’t we analyze the situation first..? Since we’re all stuck here, shouldn’t we all put our heads together to get out of this situation?” A guy with navy blue hair and light blue eyes tried to calm everyone down, and succeeded.
“He’s right. Shouldn’t we all get along? After all, we’re all stuck in this situation together.” A girl with a warm smile and light brown hair spoke. Both the blue haired man and the light brown haired girl emitted positive vibes, and it was hard not to listen to them.
“Tsk..” The man with the intimidating aura only clicked his tongue, not daring to speak anymore after seeing everyone side with the Blue haired boy and and light brown haired girl.
“Since that’s all settled… Why don’t we introduce ourselves first?” The boy with the navy blue hair spoke once again, until (mostly) everyone agreed.
“If everyone is in agreement, then I’ll start first. My codename is Psyche, the Ultimate Psychologist or Therapist.” The boy with the navy blue hair was the first to introduce himself.
What are codenames you ask? Codenames – After the many dangerous incidents regarding the Ultimate Students, their identities, and many other related information, started getting screened by their respective countries’ governments, and only their codenames, school, and their ultimates were disclosed to the public, unless the student had wished for their information to be made public.
Since their information were closely guarded by the governments’ top security agents and devices, many different schools were built especially for the Ultimate Students. Most were unsuccessful, except one.
And that one school was the school that everyone here was supposed to enter, Hope’s Peak Academy.
Well, since this whole losing consciousness thing happened, it seemed like they were able to get into Hope’s Peak, just not the way they were expecting to.
After that, everyone started introducing theirselves.
“Greetings, my name is Sae, the Ultimate Spokesperson. Nice to meet you, and I hope we’ll get along with each other.” A person with short, light purple hair and violet eyes spoke. She wore thin, round glasses, a plain t-shirt, and a black cardigan.
“Hi I'm Techno, I don't actually hack stuff I just have good socks… It’s nice to meet you I guess.” A guy with pink hair didn’t seem to think much of the situation, busily typing on his laptop as if this was just a daily occurrence for him.
“I’m Felon, the Ultimate Exploiter.. I got released from juvenile detention a few weeks ago… It’s nice to meet you.” Felon wore a black dress and a black lace choker, with a white ribbon tying her hair up and numerous black piercings.

“What’s up, I’m Palette, the Ultimate Artist. Good to know ya!” A girl with a cheery tone said. She has shoulder-length grayish-purple hair, with pinkish-red eyes and a plain black choker. She wore a blue long-sleeve polo that was unbuttoned, and wore a plain white t-shirt inside. Her hair has a few black highlights, and was wearing black mittens.
“My name is Lucilfer, call me Luci if you want. I never wanted to be an attorney but now I’m stuck being the ultimate prosecutor, rip I guess.” Said a man with curly brown hair and eyes which were practically the same color as his. He wore a brown formal suit with the same color brown tie, and had a slightly darker skin tone.
It seems like this year’s batch of students are quite special…?
“Good day everyone. I haven't introduced myself yet. My codename is Hazel, I am a Barista. It is nice to be your acquaintance." The light brown haired girl who spoke earlier finally introduced herself.
"Can we assume that you're the Ultimate Barista?"
"I'd prefer it without the ultimate." The idea was immediately shot down by Hazel, who didn't seem too fond of being an ultimate.
"My name is Symphony, the Ultimate Singer. Pleased to meet you." She had brown, almost black hair, not too tall and a little short, and although her features were quite normal on their own, she was considered quite pretty among the celebrities these days.
“I’m Yeon, the Ultimate Social Media influencer. Nice to meet you” Everyone in the room knew Yeon. Staying true to her Ultimate name, she had over 100 million followers on a certain Social Media app whose first letter started with a ‘t’.
"I'm Waltz, the Ultimate Dancer. I don't really know what's going on but I hope we get along...." She was somewhat short, and had a somewhat scary aura. Something that people would usually call a ‘resting bitch face’.
"I'm afraid I haven't introduced myself. My codename is Rock, I am the Ultimate Geologist. Nice to meet you!" A cheerful blonde haired boy greeted. He had a formal suit, much like Lucilfer, except that it was blue with a red tie. He wore round glasses, and had light brown eyes.
"I'm Ren, the Ultimate... Uh... Flowerist? NO I MEAN, THE ULTIMATE FLORIST!" Ren was wearing a light green shirt and a jumper that looked like a frog. A blue flower was tucked into one of their ears, and they had Red hair.
"I'm Fable, the Ultimate Author." Fable was a man of very few words, and he finished his introduction in a flash. He had white hair and white eyes, and was wearing a brown satchel. A white coat was draped over his shoulders, and he wore a black polo shirt with a light gray vest.
"I'm Caesar... The Ultimate Soldier." He still seemed a bit grumpy, and stared down menacingly at the other students. He had brown hair and green eyes, and was wearing semi-casual wear with sneakers.
“I’m Luck, the Ultimate Lucky Student. My Ultimate is pretty useless, but it’s helpful sometimes… I think..?” Luck was a boy with a short stature. He was also the first to regain consciousness, and was the first to speak up. He had blue eyes and golden blonde hair.
After mostly everyone had introduced themselves, the only one left was the dude who had woken up last, and was near the corner of the room.
“Why should I introduce myself?” Once everyone heard his answer, they went silent. Who knew there was someone else grumpier than Caesar here?
“Weren’t you listening this whole time?” Symphony was smiling, but she definitely didn’t like the attitude of the guy.
“I was, and my question still stands. Why do I have to tell you my Ultimate?” Intentional or not, it seemed like he was acting cocky.
“You have to tell us more about yourself so that we’d be able to trust each other easier. If we don’t know who or what your ultimate is, wouldn’t it be hard to cooperate? Isn’t it just common sense?” Waltz snorted, not liking the mystery guy’s attitude at all.
“Of course, it would be common sense in a normal situation, but we were kidnapped and we don’t know who the perpetrator is. For all you know, they could be anyone here.” The mystery guy dropped a bombshell on everyone. Of course, they knew it was coming, but they had all chosen to go about it in different ways. Some chose to hide from the truth and not believe it, while some chose to face it head-on, some chose to acknowledge it but only stayed guarded from it, and some chose to not care at all.
They were all very different people. While they made it seem like they were cooperating, everyone had already chosen different paths. There was no way that they would be so carefree in such a situation, especially after living through a life where they were constantly used and thrown away.
After listening to the boy’s reasoning, everyone was silent. They knew he was right, but did they have a choice? Rather than being stubborn, they’d rather cooperate. Even refusing to tell your own ultimate was useless, after all, since the perpetrator was capable of kidnapping them like this, wasn’t it more likely that they’d know everything about you? If so, then there would be no point in keeping your codename and ultimate a secret.
Of course, if there wasn’t another reason as to why they would keep their ultimate a secret.
“Fine, then so be it. If you won’t tell us your ultimate, at least give us a name to call you by.” Psyche sighed. It was the same for the others. They didn’t know why the guy was hiding his Ultimate, but if he refused to tell, they weren’t cruel enough to force it out of him.
“Just call me Enigma.” They didn’t press the point anymore, only nodding in a half-trusting manner.
“Since almost everyone knows each other now, shouldn’t we figure out a way to escape the room now?”
