Prologue
“The land of Dufelia. A continent filled with magic and mystical creatures that one would not see in their lifetime. Within here, the humans have dominated the continent. Their sheer capabilities and Intelligence gives them the overwhelming advantage to be the main existing species on this world, and thus the largest continent was their reward. However, with every winner comes an opponent. Thus, a threat to their existence has shown themselves after a series of troubles by the humankind. These were the beings known as the “demons”.
Manifested from an alternate reality dimension where our energies are reversed, somehow, these vile monsters have achieved a way to enter this world and to corrupt everything they can possibly touch. Their greed and filth shows no bounds as they slowly infect the continent with their incredible infestation.
We have sent out armies after armies against them. Yet every single time, we fail. Their bodies are made uniquely, that no matter how many times we tend to use our weapons, we cannot hurt them. Once we kill one, we may see another new one born from the darkness. They attack wildly, like madmen. Their weapons are themselves, as each demon is made to be different from one another. They have succeeded every single battle so far. Our chances in winning were only with the help of magic. However, we do know that we can only suppress them, not defeat them completely. Every time we fail, we lose another town to those vile creatures.
Which is why, we decided to call upon the power of the gods and sacrifice what we can in order to please the gods. We have prayed and prayed for months as we have done what little resistance we can possibly muster from them. We have lost many lives but now, I can be rest assured to say that.. We have succeeded.
Young man, I welcome you to the Imperial kingdom of Astreas. I am Atlas Astreas, the emperor of this continent. I ask you, young man. Please. Help us all. “
An old man said on the screen on the screen with a smile before it turns to black.
I hid the device on my hand to my pocket. It kinda resembles a phone albeit with just a few differences. Either way, I have heard of this message after I basically woke up from under these massive boulders on me. I mean, luckily I was in this strong glass that encased me like a coffin or something. I feel like there’s a masked superhero reference in there somewhere but I’m not so sure myself. My mind is still fuzzy for some reason. It felt like I just woke up after a long time sleeping, or at least something similar to it.

I yawned hard while stretching my arms. I look at my watch… and it’s dead. I try to press the modes or just the friggin light, but it’s dead. Completely dead. Huh, well that’s pretty neat.
I scan the area around me. I am in a room… or at least what’s left from it. Around me on the ground are cements and whatnot that seemed to be what was left of the ceiling. The coffin I awoke from was still alright (amazingly too) and is wide open after I pushed it hard open. I was honestly awed that it even opened with the amount of cement covering it but hey, maybe it’s just luck on my side or that the glass coffin was just made for those.
For now, I try to search for an exit. I look around the room and… nothing. I do not see anything that even remotely resembles a door or a passageway at all. Huh, well that’s weird. They really did a ton of effort to make this social experiment a surprise huh? Well, I guess that leaves one place left… That being; The ceiling. Or at least what is left of it. I can actually only see a massive hole on the above me, with the orange sky illuminating the clouds and all.
I try to find something for me to use for a stairway then I decided to use those debris from earlier. I slowly place them atop piece by piece like some kind of legos until it resembled something like a ladder. I try to poke it, once, twice, and thrice to make sure that it won’t fall on me. Honestly it looks like it will immediately break down without a doubt but I just want to get away from here at this point.
So, I took some steps on the thing( I can’t really call this abomination a ladder) and slowly step it up. Every time my foot lands on the rough cement, I can feel it shake a bit. It didn’t hinder me though, just instead made me move faster to get the hell out of it faster. As I get to the top, I was finally about to reach the edge of the broken ceiling when suddenly…
A massive shadow swooped which ruined my balance. It looked like something with wings but at this time, all I can think about it…
Crap. Crap. Crap.
All the debris started to break and fall on me. I lost my footing as I fall to the ground. I can hear behind me some kind of sound like something is moving but I think it’s just the debris falling on the ground, making spikes for me to “cushion” my fall for… and to add more reasons of death on my autopsy.
Oh wonderful.
I close my eyes and cover my ears as I expect the inevitable.

I feel nothing and instead just keep falling. I open and see the creature, now becoming smaller and smaller by the moment with the distance becoming greater between us. It’s trying its best to enter into the hole that’s obviously smaller than its body so to no avail does it succeed. I’m not really glad though, as I turn my body around as much as I can. And all I can see is..
Darkness.
A deep abyss loomed over me as I continue to fall unto it.
As I expect my death by turning into a bloody pancake, one question remained into my head.
What’s the loading time for summoning heroes again?
