"Hey boy, why are you blanking out?" An old man wearing strange white long coat type dress shouted.
"Hmm... What? Who are you?" Boy spacing out asked the old man.
The boy standing on the platform asked. Confusion on his face could be seen clearly as if he was not clear what was happening.
"Don't joke around here kid, you are standing on the spiritual platform... focus." The old man said.
After that old man started praying some kind of poem or we better say an incantation. The boy standing on the platform started linking all the things that old man said to him.
In the end, he reached a conclusion. He was no longer in the world he knew and all this happening to him as same as novels and anime he had seen. The thing he always wished to happen, at last, it came true.
At last, around five to ten minutes later the old man stopped the incantation while a golden bright light enveloped the boy standing on the platform. At first, the old man just wanted to finish all the incantation quickly but after the golden bright light, his expressions changed.
Boy standing on the platform had his eyes closed and he could feel the warmth coming from his of his body. Countless different symbols and knowledge were rushing into his brain.
After the boy opened his eyes he saw that the old man with his mouth opened as wide as a fist could easily move inside with any problem.
"Old man, what happened why you are staring at me like this? I haven't kidnapped your granddaughter so stop staring at me like this." The boy said after seeing the old man.
"Ah, I do have a Granddaughter would you like to marry her?" The old man said after hearing the boy.
'Is this old man retard? Will he give his granddaughter to anyone? why is he acting like this?... I should move from here as soon as possible.'
With that, the boy walked away but when the old man came to his senses he quickly asked: "What's your name?"
This story has been stolen from Royal Road. If you read it on Amazon, please report it
"Song Yan remembers this name." Yan waved his hand disappeared out of his view.
He walked on the road down the mountain where the platform was. After walking down for ten to twenty minutes he stopped.
'Wait why am I walking around aimlessly? I am in this new world, should I start a new life here? But do I have any cheat or any special power? I should have asked that old man... shit!'
All sudden some memories and pictures started rushing into his brain. Yan held his head and fell to the ground. When he woke up it was already evening time.
After that incident, Yan could tell that he was well familiar with the forest as if he had seen it countless time. According to those memories, his name was Song Yan here as well. The body he was in was the boy who had a nervous breakdown after hearing the news of his parent's death.
He came to this place to try his luck if he could get some special skills from the god but before he could he died on the spot because of the nervous breakdown.
His parents were ordinary farmers. After his 14th birthday, he moved out of his village and started working in the town. He would send money to his parents every month even if don't earn enough money. But, after the news of his parent's death, his almost broke down.
Song Yan followed the same path, after fifteen minutes he reached the town. The town's name was written on the wall covering the whole city.
Just when he was about to enter the town Yan heard a voice.
"Yan... Hey, dude waits for me... huff, huff." A boy around sixteen years of age was running towards him.
For his memories, he knew that this young man was the friend of the earlier owner of the body. So, Yan waved his hand towards him.
"Hey bro there is good news for you... you’re ... your parents are not dead. The news was for somebody else, you got wrong information." The boy patted his chest to reassure him.
Unknowingly he was happy from inside ever after knowing they were not his parents. But he was now the owner of that body, so he had to take responsibility the owner's body.
"Thanks, Zhao Yu. I am really happy to hear the news. I... I..." Song Yan was trying to say something but was unable to.
"Hey, don't you remember when my family didn't yield any crops that year it was your family who helped us. After all, you are my brother more than a friend, no need to say thanks."
After that two of them talked a bit more and started moving inside the town...
