Ryle turned and looked to Adrian and he looked very much like a child that didn't know eating sugar was bad. He turned his head back to the shelf and he continued stacking the books
Adrian felt a pang going through his head and he re-examinee if he did snap at him. But he doesn't think he did so then why is Ryle acting like that.
The atmosphere was getting tense so Adrian decided to thaw the ice.
" Am going back to my quarters. If there is anything you need..", he paused
" There is ", Ryle interrupted him.
Adrian shifted his head to the side as he wondered what that means. And as he did that Ryle turned and looked at him.
" Can you actually read the book you took from the library?", He posed a rhetorical question.
The last time he was here , Adrian had borrowed a book on the history of sword fighting .
There is a possibility that during this period of training that the sect masters would have the students fight with swords. And like any other training the swords are charged with vital energy. They can only work when the user has fueled them with vital energy, otherwise they are no different from a metal stick.
To be honest, Adrian doesn't need to read anything. There is nothing that those books could teach him that he doesn't already know.
The reason he took the book was to give it to Syin. Syin seems to have a neck for swords , a book like would be useful to him.
"I will bring it back", Adrian answered and he proceeded to walk out of the library. Adrian doesn't like being told what to do. It's not arrogance. It's more like implying he doesn't have the brain work necessary to deduce. So it kind of bored him a little.
But the main reason it also bored him a little is because, Adrian has never told Ryle anything about his core level so Ryle advicing him on useless things like that is really not a great thing. Reason being that it remings him that he is keeping something from Ryle.
Ryle smiled softly as Adrian left the room like he had been told to go sweep the yard with a paint brush.

The feeding area is actually as large as double the sect master s mansion. The kitchen is just as large because it cooks for a lot of hungry individuals.
Directly in front of the kitchen, there is one long slate of rock and anterior to it, about twenty large tables are situated equally spaced from each other . Each table is about hundred by eighty centimeters and from each table , they are about one meter away from one another in all directions. They are placed in a chessboard like manner. The spaces in between, offered as pathways for the disciples to move in between the tables
There are ten chefs here and their job is to prepare the food and place it in front of the main table or the long rock. And then the disciples would just picked up any tray from the table and they would head back to their table to begin eating.
After they are done eating, they can just leave the plates there and then they can go back to their lives.
Of course it feels like royal treatment but in actuality, cooking is the only thing that the young wolves do not do themselves because a lot of menace that would arise from that.
Other tasks like fetching water, laundry , cleaning their own rooms , gathering firewood they have to do for themselves.
The question would be why not just employ some people to care for the grounds and for all those tasks in behalf of the disciples. The answer would be that, demon practise occurs here and that can be really dangerous, considering the lineage of wolf cultivation . So it's best that they employ as minamal non cultivators as possible to avoid casualitiess. Of course the chefs here have some sort of core strength that allows them to be in the ground , an employee requirement that they had to have.
Be that the case, Herim picked up a tray of food and he pirouetted back to the table. There were several trays as always. On each tray, there existed three large bowls that were meant for serving two. Each of the bowls was hosting different kinds of food . For today s meal it was soup, rice and a lot meat .
Wolves are carnivores so their need for meat is incredible but since these guys are cultivating they can't just eat like senseless creatures or they will throw up whenever they try to train with full stomachs.Nourishment is for the physical form , too much of it ,the other form will just reject.

That being the case ,Syin, Valian and Joln were sitting in the same table.
He reached their table and he placed the tray down. The tables are designed with chairs so as to promote convinence .The chairs in question are in-built almost like city restaurant furniture so it's pretty nice. After he did it that , Herim went to go get another tray for the remaining two.
Since dishware is already placed on the tables, Valian began dishing because oddly enough these two wolves don't know how to dish probably. He placed a lot of meat in one bowl and gave it to Joln but Joln passed some of it to Syin. He then added some for his own.
Since Herim is the youngest , Valian added a little bit for him, which was actually the same amount as him..The normal concept would be that wolves eat only meat but not these three don't fall in the stereotype . It's weird but then again the meat cooked here is really awful and it can taste like ancient rust. Maybe they are being too extreme since they are used to fine dining at the palace because everyone else seems to enjoy the food
When Herim came back and placed the tray on the table , he found his dish nearly half -full with meat and everyone else had really less meat especially Syin
He then sat down next to Syin and he picked a huge potion of meat from his plate and added it for him. He then sat down and he stared at him like a five year old watching birds building a nest.
Syin half-looked at him in his peripheral and he was partly getting confused why he was looking at him like that. He is not the one who gave him more meat
Joln kept the chopsticks in his mouth as he was bewildered on what was happening . Did Herim hit his head on the way back? He better not be starting with his drama!
Joln turned his head to the side, arched his eyebrows.
" Don't you have somewhere to be?" Joln asked him feeling like he is ruining the mood with his shenanigance. He was sort of implying that he should leave. To be honest Joln doesn't like Herim at all, he just feels like he is a nuisance. Valian feels the same way too. But of course Valian would never say something like that to him , whereas Joln on the other side is really getting feed up with Herim and on the bridge of pushing him into the water.
Herim is always following them, always acting like they are friends when infact he is just really annoying to have around because he doesn't understand the concept of personal space. Who wants someone like that around?
" I do but I want to be here ", he answered.
As Herim was gawking at his side view, Syin was fighting with hook and cranny to stopping himself from running away because Herim is making the atmosphere akward
Herim thought that Syin was probably too shy to eat with him so close . That's why he picked up the chopsticks for Syin and attempted to feed him
" Stop that and ... Eat your food", Joln ordered him while he picked the chopsticks and tossed them to Herim Herim was slightly startled and intimidated by that so he attempted to obey the instruction. He pulled his dish to himself
Joln really likes to craft a reminder into Herim when he seems to be forgetting his place. He has to keep telling not to do this and not to do that. Though it seems like he is looking at him, the tone in Joln s voice shows that he is not fishing for having the best interest for Herim as a priority.
Herim made a half smile to Syin and he picked up his plate and the bowl of meat. He stood to head to the another table where he probably won't last too. Within the next second , he dug his hand into the meat then buried it in his mouth. He chewed with looking like a baby panda and waved to Joln with his oily hand, just to annoy him . He must like to see the look of an angry beautiful wolf. But then again when is it okay to yell at anyone like that. They probably don't know why he didn't that considering that all they think is Herim has tomatoes for brains
As they watched Herim leaving, the group seating on the other table was already having a conversation about types of demons
In the last consult lesson they had mainly focused on such things.
They had learnt about the three creatures that can exist from the ability learn cultivation
'the undead, the spirits and beast creatures.'
The topic that they covered that has the best of their attention was the beast creatures.
Apparently it's possible for animals to develop a core like humans and to have that core get developed just like how a human practioner would have theirs developed.
This means that for all the levels that are known for immortal cultivation in the human they are also achievable to get even when using an animal.
In other words ,there can be beast that achieve that great level of culvation however the question would be how on the world would wildlife have the mentality to keep practicing cultivation.
The answer would be that cultivation is solely a human bound exercise , However the transfer of core has made it possible for animals get that level of cultivation. And since animals can be tamed, they are naturally capable of just absorbing vital energy by help of a human
This is a bit confusing to imagine how it comes about and then the greatest explanation would lie in one of the forbidden books.
In the book, it states that all animals ,all living things that are not human have the greatest trait of all existing things. They are born with the greatest plasticity in their core.
What that means is that no matter the size of the core the animal would be able to bare it .
When the cultivator is Spirit immortal and they transfer their core to an animal, the animal would immediately set on the journey of shedding their physical form on the spot and after about ten years of energy input by the human to the animal, the animal would become the spirit creature of the owner and they would survive as being the spirit creature of the being thriving off of the energy from the human. Basically from the onset of core transfer, the cultivator has to keep giving the spirit creature its vital energy, which is like once a month. The donation is not lethal because achieving Spirit immortality means the cultivator can have lots of pneuma but only five percent of that is needed by the animal. That is from human to animal
The vice versa is a bit different.when a human accepts a core from a spirit creature, the creature instead moves back into the body of the being and the being become a spirit creature whose true form is animal but can still shape shift.
This concept sheds a little light in how werewolves were formed.Of course the question would be why shape shifters are not elephants, tigers , sharks lions but instead are wolves
