Prologue

Henry was a technical support worker. He had been working in that capacity for the last four years at the local branch of a large company, located right in the heart of Ha’nar city. It was a city like any other, large, densely populated, and noisy.

For the most part, Henry was satisfied with his life. Sure, he would have liked to have more money, and less work, but wouldn't anyone? He had other aspirations of course. A nice house, a fast car, a family, his own yacht. But, he was still young, it was far too early to be worrying about these sorts of things. All in due time, he kept telling himself.

In actual fact, it was far too late to be worrying about these things. Time had suddenly run out for Henry, when his typical day at the office had taken a drastic turn for the worse. Now Henry found himself pinned against a wall by a large piece of steel rebar, that had pierced his chest, and he was steadily bleeding to death as a result.

Henry was quite understandably, very upset about all this. His hopes and dreams had been shattered in a short instant.

Why me? What did I do to deserve this?

It was the first time in his short life that he had experienced the brutal extent of reality's unfairness. As his life gradually slipped away, his despair deepening with every passing moment, he flicked through his memories, searching for something, anything, that could save him.

Just as the last remnants of his consciousness were trickling into nothingness, he found that something. A strange dream he had had, two weeks before.

Yes… that dream… I remember… I just need to…

Unfortunately, for Henry, his time was up. Before he could do anything more, he died.
