“Die Madil Die” an ominous voice said behind me. They were pointing a gun at my head while I was running away.You may be wondering how I got into this situation but unfortunately that's classified information. So we'll have to start at the beginning first.But before you find out why I’m in such an inconvenient situation in the first place, introductions are in order. Hi my name's Nina Madil, I’m 13 and today was supposed to be the start of the best week of my life. Why you ask? Well, because I was going on a one week trip with my family, and my best friend. To London! Considering we only have 2 weeks of summer vacation left, I’m going to make sure to enjoy myself to the fullest before I have to go to school for around 9 ½ months. I don’t really like school itself but the social interaction that comes with it is precious plus there's free education so you might as well take it.Anyway in about 5 minutes we'll be in the car going to the airport were I’ll meet my bestie and we’ll finally take the flight to london.I have been waiting for this trip my whole summer or at least sense the second week of june when my parents announced it.I couldn’t even sleep properly last night because I was too excited. “Nina it's time to go” my dad called out. I got inside the car only to see that my siblings had taken the two window seats, meaning that I would have to take the middle seat. I was not pleased by this but I sat there anyway. The 45 minute ride, though unpleasant, could not erase all the excitement coursing through my veins. Once we arrived, I looked around excitedly. I then spotted a tiny head with glasses. I think it saw me too because the tiny person came running up to me at the speed of light and before I knew it, they were hugging me. “Heyyy!!!” Mercedes said. The tiny head I was speaking of was my best friend Mercedes Carter. Her nickname is Mer . She has just turned 13 this month and was a small ball of buzzing energy. She was jumping up and down the whole time we were together. Once we got past the long security line we walked to our gate and then our parents let us buy some snacks .In the store I saw Mercedes buy some really spicy chips. At first I brushed it off and went to get my twix, until realization hit me. She would probably force me to have some so I went and bought some water preparing for impact as I knew I could not argue with her. We sat down for a while and just did our own thing. The plane started to board about 1 later and our parents, being our parents, waited until the gates were about to close so that we wouldn’t have to wait in line.We were boarding our plane in a line of 8 people from youngest to oldest. In the front were my siblings Lara and Arthur.Lara was 11 and out of the 3 of us she has the curliest hair but honestly it wasn’t that curly she was wearing jeans with a bright pink shirt and her navy blue vest.Her light brown hair was put back in a ponytail while her honey brown eyes were glued to the planes coming and leaving .Behind her was Arthur he was 9 and had his signature baseball cap that was covering his sort of curly dark brown hair he was wearing a dark blue shirt with his dark brown eyes glued to his ipad. After them was Mer,she was wearing her shoulder length straight hair down with a pair of black jeans and a red and black plaid shirt.Her dark brown hair was covering her face as she was trying to get her passport out of her bag. Her pecan brown eyes frantically looking all over for it while her gray glasses were almost falling off her face.Following Mer was me,I was wearing some light blue long jeans with a short sleeved baby blue shirt.I had my white sweater in hand and my sort of straight or puffy brown hair depending on the weather in a braid.My syrup brown eyes were glued to my book as I desperately tried to find out what would happen next. Behind me were the parents having their usual parent conversations. I had my twix with me though it took a while to board because my sibling wouldn't stop fighting .When we finally got into the plane my nerves were on a whole nother level. I was so excited to go to London and to make things better Mercedes was sitting next to me.The plane took as I saw the land below me getting smaller and smaller by the minute. A few hours later I opened my twix pack while watching Crazy Rich Asians when Mercedes asked if I wanted one of her chips. I refused at first knowing they were going to be spicy but I soon realized that I wouldn't get to watch my movie in peace if I didn’t eat one. “Fineeeeeee '' I said annoyed. I then took one from the bag and popped it in my mouth. Minutes later I was grabbing more. They were so good but my mouth wasn’t having it so I reached for my water. The water didn’t help but that didn’t matter. I ended up eating half of the bag and felt happy.I went to sleep after watching a few other movies but ended up waking up in the middle of the night. The noise of the plane was too loud and I couldn’t go back to sleep. I looked to the side only to see that Mercedes was fast asleep. I had no one to talk to and I didn’t feel like watching tv. I grabbed my bag and pulled out my book I was half way done with. I was dying to find out what would happen next . After about 2 hours of reading Mercedes woke up.We talked a bit, played hangman,messed around and acted like complet idiots.At 7 am they served breakfast.It was two cold and stale slices of bread with some butter, jam and honey. We were hungry so we ate it all down to the last crumb.The plane landed,we went through the long imagration line playing sticks and got our luggage from the baggage carousel. .After that we went straight to the hotel that was located around the center of london. The hotel was beautiful with white and gold tiles giving it a modern yet sophisticated look.It was 15 stories high and almost so tall it reached the clouds.The last window was so high that it seemed to be looking down on me making fun of how short I was compared to it.Excluding the height of the place it also had dozens upon dozens of security cameras like eyes everywhere.With all the cameras you would think that the queen of england was saying there or they were hiding something important but apparently this was just extra security. We walked into the lobby and surprisingly it was even fancier with more gold and even more security.I swear if I wasn’t extremely tired from the trip I would have had my eyes sparkling jumping for joy with Mercedes but everyone even my siblings looked extremely drained.Of course this didn’t mean we weren’t amazed we just really wanted to sleep.Because of this we went straight to the reception looking like zombies.We checked in and my parents let me share a room with Mer.We went to our room and slept for about 4 hours straight .We then took a shower and got changed into clean clothes.At about 1 pm we went out for lunch at a nice restaurant called Galvin La Chapelle.We sat at our lovely table and ordered our food.After we had eaten our delicios meal , we went to explore a nice park before coming back to the hotel to relax.The first 2 and a half days we were extremely jet lagged but we still had our fair share of fun .We went to the cartoon museum, The sherlock holmes museum and some nice parks. Me Mer and my siblings were playing tag in Hyde park near Buckingham palace while our parents were having their long conversations as usual.We heard them talking about the plans for tomorrow so we paused and all crossed our fingers while listening to their conversation.We really didn’t want to go to another museum visit but just then my mom said the cursed words that would make all young children go wild “what about the british museum” my mom suggested.My siblings were exceptionally unhappy about this we had been told that the british museum was full of rocks and mummies.When hearing this we thought it was almost as bad as being taken to ikea ( no one likes ikea).My brother went up to my mom and started complaining ,I considered doing the same but I kind of wanted to see the mummies so I ignored him. We went back to the hotel, went out for dinner and then fell asleep.The next day me and Mer went down for breakfast at around 9 am with our families.We ate and then spent our morning at the park we then went to Blanchett for lunch at about 1:30pm.Our tour started at 3pm so we had to eat fast. Since I had ordered spaghetti it was pretty easy to wolf down without looking sloppy. We finally made it to the British museum and got with our tour group.We then made our way into the museum. The security was really tight and the line was long.After a while we managed to get inside. Me and Mer took a look around to see who the people in our tour group were,when we noticed a girl who looked about our age who had curly light brown hair, pale skin and bluey green eyes. She was also pretty tall.We wanted to go up and say hello but her presence seemed nice and un-approachable at the same time.Mer however seemed to ignore this and went straight up to her dragging me with her of course.Mer then started her normal small talk “Hi” she said the girl then responded with “Hello”.Mer said “My names Mercedes but you can call me Mer the girl behind me is Nina”. “Nice to meet you Mer and Nina, my name’s Maya” the girl responded.Maya seemed nice but honestly I felt like something was strange about her she didn’t look like she wanted to talk but her face and words seemed to say otherwise.She was smiling and beamed every time we even said as much as a word to her.I decided to brush this feeling off as I didn’t really want to make a bad first impression.We were talking about our lives and how boring and unfair school was and how we didn’t want to go back when the topic of sexism was brought up.Like how the dress code was unfair or like how people would always say “let boys be boys let them play rough”.Maya seemed particularly invested in this topic, she seemed to have a lot of first hand experience with this ,but like all conversation topics, this was about a 3 to 5 minute chat before we changed the topic.We soon made it to the mummies which was what I was most excited to see, they looked so cool and there were so many, my eyes were shimmering while mer was calling me a nerd.She could call me a nerd all she wanted but when we got the crystals I knew she would have the same expression.Maya seemed intrigued but the mummies as well before she said “One minute I need to go to the bathroom”she left for the bathroom and after about 10 minutes of staring I had done my fair share of it. Mer on the other hand looked a bit worried “What's wrong Mer you look sick”I asked worried.She looked at me and said “Maya hasn’t come back from the bathroom yet its been 10 minutes”My eyes widened, I didn’t know it had been that long since she left. “We should check on her” I suggested.We warned our parents and then left.When we got into the bathroom all there doors were open and non of the stalls were being used, Maya wasn’t there.We double checked and then I asked Mer but“Are you sure you didn’t see her leave” “I’m sure she went in but didn’t come out ,in fact no one left the bathroom the whole time she was there” Mer said sounding a bit annoyed I was doubting her. “Ok”I said “But we should wash our hands after all, they're probably really dirty”. She agreed but said ``I'm going to use the bathroom first since we're already here ``.Just minutes after I heard a high pitched scream from inside the bathroom stall, followed by a loud sound of old moving gears. “Mer open the door”I said with a worried voice.She did and inside the bathroom stall there wasn’t just a toilet there was a whole secret staircase leading into a dark basement.I looked at her and she said “I just pulled a lever I thought that was how you flushed the toilet”. “Well do you think that maybe pulling the lever again will close the path?” I asked. “I don’t know”. Mer said, but soon the worried look on her face changed into one with excitement and curiosity . She seemed to have thought of this as a little jump scare and then suggested we go inside. “No, no way, over my dead body, Mer, never”I told her “But Ninaaaaaa it’ll be fun, trust me”she said “No, it will not be fun, what if the police catches us, will it be so fun then, Mer”. I said starting to get a bit mad. “Nina don’t worry it will be fine the police won’t find you, I bet they don’t even know this place existed”. Mer tried to convenience me at first, but she soon realized I wouldn’t give in so she pulled my hand and started dragging me inside. “No Mer please no”I said “Look it’ll be fun I promise besides, sometimes friends need a little push”Mer said. We were walking down the stairs using our phones as flashlights when we saw a shadow move in the dark.Before I could scream I heard a quick “frick” followed by a loud thump.I looked behind me only to see a body on the floor….. It was Mer‘s. There was a tall shadow standing behind her even though I hadn’t known her for long, I knew it was Maya.

I woke up with a huge headache.It hurt so much I could barely open my eyes. Even though my vision was blurry I could still make out the figure next to me, it was Mer. She seemed to be waking up too. After a few minutes both of us were fully conscious but couldn’t speak because we were gagged.Mer looked really scared and I bet I did too. After all, I felt like I was going to pee my pants. It was pitch black for a few minutes until we heard distant footsteps.The door opened and in the dark and we could make out the same tall girl who had knocked us out, Maya.She wasn’t wearing the clothes we saw her in though. She was wearing a skin tight black bodysuit and her hair was no longer down but in a high ponytail.She didn’t look friendly at all in fact her face was cold and expressionless.The moment I saw her I had chills running down my spine I’m sure Mer did too since even in the dark I could see her pale face.Maya gave us a cold stare and then pointed a gun at our heads.I felt fear looking me in the eye at that moment but the thing is I couldn’t look away or I would be dead.Maya coldly said “who do you work for”.At this point I was about to cry when Mer stammered “n..n.no one”.Maya didn’t seem to believe us and sternly asked more time “who do you work for , Answer truthfully if you even want a chance of living.”I felt a tear roll down my cheek then looked at Mer. She also seemed to be on the verge of tears. I had to say something or we would die.I looked Maya in the eye and said “We came here to look for you and we work for no one so let us go”.Maya seemed to believe me a little so she put down her gun. Unfortunately for us she didn’t let us go. I suspected she was just being cautious but that wasn’t the case .She seemed frustrated apparently we had just seen something we weren’t supposed to see.Maya did a background check on us and finally let us go.But she didn’t let us go for long. She told us to sit in our chairs.Maya looked us up and down then took a deep breath. “If you haven’t noticed yet I’m a spy” Maya said. Mers face looked shocked but I actually wasn't surprised because 5 minutes ago she was pointing a gun at us,Maya then said “I’m here on a mission and I can’t afford to have you running wild since you know my secret”. “So what are you going to do about us?” I asked. “I’m going to bring you along of course”Maya said with a tone that made me feel like the stupidest person on earth. Before I could say something else Mer spoke up and asked “what about our parents,I don't think they'd be very happy to find us missing or worse dead”.I know Maya said “That's why you're going to lie to them”. “What, but my moms a living lie detector” I said. “Yes I’m well aware.That's why I’ll be helping” Maya said. “The mission will resume after we deal with your parents,” Maya added. She then went inside another room and came out in the same clothes we met her in.Her face and mood had changed as well, she looked friendly and chipper like nothing had happened.We walked out of the dark room and back into the bathroom.But the moment we saw our faces we noticed we were a mess.We fixed our hair a bit and splashed water on our faces to look a bit more normal.We then went to our parents with Maya.I started speaking “Mom dad can we go back to the mummies Maya didn’t get a good look at them”.“I really wanted to see them, something just got in the way” Maya said and then pointed to her stomach.My parents said yes and we asked them if they could tell Mers parents in which they agreed.We then went back to the secret passage so that Maya could change but to our surprise Maya had outfits for us as well.They were the same as hers so I’m guessing they were spares,but according to her we couldn’t get our normal clothes dirty.We put the bodysuits on though it was a bit tough to put on and put up our hair.Maya asked for our clothes so that she could keep them safe in case of an emergency. Maya then sat us down again and explained that there was an evil organization here who wanted to steal artifacts. When she told her superiors about it they didn’t believe her so she came to the conclusion that she had to do things herself. She wanted us to help as much as possible but didn’t want us to be too much dead weight. “Wait, wait, wait Maya how are we supposed to help when we have no spy training whatsoever” Mer said. “ How are we supposed to defeat an enemy organization for all we know you might be the enemy?”I said. “Plus you were the one who pointed a gun at our heads,'' Mer said under her breath. Maya seemed to hear this so she spoke. “Listen first I’m not the enemy, I have my MI6 identification with me right here.Also you guys are playing a key role in my plan, so just trust me ok.” “Well then are we your bait or something, we're not much useful for anything else”.I said but before Maya could answer a loud thump and then an explosion hit. “Take cover” Maya screamed while picking up a black duffel bag. “Where,” Mer yelled. “Just follow me,” Maya yelled back. She ran out of the room into another underground compartment. Then she opened a trap door leading to an underground passage Maya told us to run the fastests we could.We heard a big bang from behind us but Maya screamed “Don't look back just keep running forward you morons”.We just had to peek but that was the worst idea ever. When you see a raging fire behind you.You kind of sort of get traumatized.That worst part about this whole situation is that when we looked back Mers’ glasses fell.Maya slapped her face in annoyance and said “Move forward you idiots as for you Mercedes leave your glasses there if you don’t want to die”.The fire was coming closer when Mer said “But they were expensive my parents will kill me if this fire doesn't”. “Oh also”I chimed in “don’t forget about the enemy agents aiming for Maya's life”. “See Maya there are many ways I can die so why are you so worried about this one”Mer said. “Mercedes Carter since you're so curious about why I’m worried about this well it’s because the fire is right behind you, so if you don’t want to die, run you morn”Maya said. Mer looked back only to see that the raging flames were no longer behind her but right in front of her. She shrieked but apparently not even that was enough to stop her from getting her glasses. She quickly got her glasses and ran at the speed of light to catch up to Maya. Yes, just Maya because fortunately for her I had stayed behind just in case she were to be in a life or death situation(which she was), but unfortunately for me I also had to run insanely fast in order not to be burned to death. My stamina wouldn’t last much longer at this rate but it was either run or be burned alive with my mummy friends and possibly the rest of the museum. So I ran following Mercedes and Maya's lead.Even though I was running, the fire wasn’t exactly an easy adversary and was catching up quickly, I could see the old wooden walls slowly being consumed by the fire.You know, I never knew I could run fast until it was either run or die .I this because thanks to my effort I caught up with Maya and Mercedes. After what seemed like an eternity of running we finally got to the door.Unfortunately for us and our great luck it was locked.Maya stood there for a second before kicking the door down with a single kick,but instead of us looking at her in shock we ran out.Both me and Mercedes figured it would be better to not talk just in case we had to run more, plus it not like we would have time to praise her if we were too busy becoming smoked humans.After about 30 more seconds we finally made it outside and you don’t know how great the smell of fresh air is after you’ve been smelling 200 year old burning, rotting wood for 5 minutes or more. Mer and I plopped down on the floor gasping for air.I think both of us had never ran this fast in our lives.Maya on the other hand was standing up looking at us with her, wow these guys are pathetic losers face.She wasn’t sweating at all in fact she didn’t even look tired. “This isn’t over yet guys,” Maya said. “What do you mean?” I asked. “They're coming after us and agents, whether good or bad, know that they need to check if their target is dead or not and obviously we're not dead.So it's only a matter of time before they find out”. Maya responded.“Do we have to run again?” Mer whined. “Unfortunately, yes” Maya said. “Just follow me, I know a place will be safe. I can explain everything to you guys then,”She added. “Ok well what are we waiting for, let's get going!” I said. “Why do you suddenly have so much energy?” Maya asked. “Because, if we stay here any longer they have a bigger chance of catching up and honestly if we lose our only advantage will be toast.” I said. “Makes sense to me, where do we go?” Mer asked. “Just follow me” Maya said before she took off running.We followed her and slowly we were getting further and further from the museum when a sudden thought popped in my head. “What about our parents?” I asked. “Oh don’t worry about them, the museum will keep them so occupied they won’t even know you're gone.”Maya said. “How?”Mer asked. “Well, at about now, one of my teammates is warning your parents that we have stumbled upon a kids club and that we have asked him if we can stay there”. Maya responded. “Can I at least text my parents about the fact that we’re there, after all, they're not just going to believe a stranger” I said. “Yes but is your phone still with you? I believe it got crushed with all the chaos”Maya said.Nope it's right here I made sure to put it in one of the pockets of the suit you gave us.” I said. “I’ll send them a quick text message so they don’t get too worried about our whereabouts.” I added. I put my hand in my pocket and pulled my phone out.It was a bit hard to text while running but I managed to send a quick message. “Mom, we saw a kids club on our way to the mummies. We were hoping we could stay here instead of going on the tour”. My mom replied almost instantly. “Yes you can, if you have any problems just text me and I will call you when it's time to pick you up''. I put my phone back in my pocket and said “My mom replied saying that we could stay there which means we bought some time”. “Good,”Maya said.We continued running for about 9 more minutes until we arrived at an old tall apartment building in the middle of an empty street next to an alleyway. “Here it is” Maya said as she walked in the building casually.She opened the door and inside there was a normal respion area of a normal apartment building.She took us to the elevator and clicked the third floor button.When we finally got there she opened the door on the left with her key and motioned us to go inside.Inside the apartment building there were 4 other girls our age doing all sorts of stuff.There was two girls with brown hair one had a huge fluffy jacket on and was watching Mako mermaids while another doing some crazy spins that looked like axles.The other two were playing cards at the table they were both tall but one was blond and the other was a dark skinned brunette.When Maya came in they all turned around.”Who are they?” the one in the fluffy sweater asked. “There are some new acquaintances I made on my little rendezvous at the museum” Maya responded. “Soooo, who did you plan on meeting?”the blonde one playing cards asked teasingly as if she had forgotten there were strangers in her house. “Ya after the little rendezvous you were talking about wasn’t just to see the paintings was it” The girl doing crazy spins said adding on to the interrogation. “Well me and Daniel were just trying to” Was what Maya was trying to say before she was cut off.“So it was with Daniel” the other girl playing cards blurted out. “Ha so were you too on a date”The girl spinning said. “No we were not, you know exactly what we were doing I told you beforehand”Maya said. “We know maya but you never told us who you were with”The blond one joked. “Enough we have other problems to deal with” Maya said while pointing to us.The attention finally came back to us before the blond girl opened her mouth “Sooo who are they?”. “These are our new decoys and they may be helpful in other situations as well”.Maya said flatly “Oooo that sounds nice” the girl in the fluffy sweater said.The other girl playing cards said “we should introduce ourselves after all were probably just making things more awkward for them having our own conversation and all”.She wasn’t wrong after all hearing strangers have their own conversation in front of you while your in there house is just plain awkward.The one doing crazy spins stopped and said “I agree but since you proposed it you should go first. “Fineeeee'' the blond one said. “My name’s Taylor,'' she said while adjusting her black leggings and white shirt. “Hi I’m Isabelle but you can call me Isa” Isa said.Isa seemed a year older than us she was really tall but as she stood up I noticed taylor was actually taller than her.Isa adjusted her glasses and pulled down her gray hoodie. “I’m Regina” the girl doing crazy spins said.She was trying to tie up her long curly brown hair when someone came up behind us and said “yo”.The voice was kind of raspy but not very deep like one of a middle school boy.When we turned around a tall figure about at least a head taller than me stood behind us.He had messy dirty blonde hair and crystal blue eyes with a nice toned tan body.He was wearing a skin tight black bodysuit but unlike ours his had short sleeves.I have to admit he was very beautiful.His sharp blue eyes looked me up and down before turning around to look at Mer .A small playful smile crept on his face as he patted her head and asked Maya “Maya, why did you bring a child here?”. “For your information, Daniel, the girl who’s head you're patting is 13 and so is the other one”Maya said.Daniel squatted down to Mer’s eye level and said “are you sure you didn’t trick my friend over there, she can be kind of stupid sometimes” I saw maya in the background hitting her head in annoyance.But before Maya could interfere Mer had. “For your information I turned 13 this month, and my doctor said I’ll have my growth spurt soon” she said in a sassy tone. “Oooo looks like we have a feisty one on our hands” he said. “Our hands, they’re in my hands, not yours, Daniel,” Maya said. “Trick question, who's going to teach them to shoot because last time I checked, you weren’t much of a teacher” he said playfully. “Shut up,” Maya muttered. “Stop fighting you two I haven’t even gotten a chance to introduce myself thanks to your amazing surprise appearance, Daniel” the girl in the fluffy jacket said in a soft calm voice. “Sorry” he said. “Anyways my name is Danna, pleasure to meet you” she said sweetly. “So maya what exactly are we supposed to do because I'm pretty sure that we're acting like sitting ducks right now”. I said “Nina’s right at this rate they’ll catch us”.Mer added “Fair point we should start training right now”Maya said. “I don’t think will be able to train much considering how much time we’ve wasted,” I said. “What do you mean?” Maya said “My mom just sent a message telling us to wrap up our fun and make our way to the main entrance so we can go home.” “Shoot,” Maya said. “Well, why don’t we just send them to camp with us, then it’ll be a good cover and we can teach them alongside some of the actual teachers”.Taylor said “That's a great idea” Regina said. “What do you mean?” I said before being blown off.“I agree but I bet they didn’t go to the museum in black bodysuits”.Isa mentioned. “What you guys are saying all makes sense but time is ticking and their parents probably don't want to wait for too long,”Daniel added. “Well for the camp situation we can have some of our teachers talk to their parents and as for the clothes don’t worry I have them with me” Maya said. “ Wait, what camp? also, were could you have hidden our clothes.” I asked. “Here, and forget about the camp”. She said while taking our clothes out of the black duffle bag and tossing them to us.“Wait so that it wasn't for grenades and weapons” Mer said in astonishment. Beside her, Daniel started dying of laughter. “What did you think, she was some sort of self centered death obsessed monster” he choked out between laughs. “No,” Mer replied. “I thought she was some sort of self centered death obsessed uptight over prepared monster” Mer said sarcastically. That only made Daniel laugh even more.Maya’s face turned red before she said “shut up and get changed” under her breath. “Tik Tok” Isa said teasingly. Mer and I went to different bathrooms and got changed.After we got out I asked Maya “why did you have us wear these bodysuits anyway they weren’t just for show right”. “No of course not, if you hadn’t worn that the ashes from the fire would have severely burned you, also when Mercedes reached out for her glasses she didn’t get burnt because the suit protected her hands.Also these suits do a lot more than just protect you”. Maya said. “Like what?” I asked. “You’ll have to find that out on your own in due time of course” Maya said smugly. “What about our parents?” Mer said, interrupting our conversation. “Oh don’t worry about them if we leave now we should get there on time” Maya said. “Running or walking?”I asked suspiciously. “I think you know the answer to that,” Mer said. “Oh right this is Maya we're talking about” I responded. “Have a fun journey, see you soon,” Danna said. “See you soon” I thought to myself, it was a puzzling thing to say to someone you would never see again.We left the apartment after Daniel gave Mer another pat on the head.After running for ten minutes we barely made it just as we got close to the entrance I saw my parents leaving.We walked up to them as casually as we could considering we were out of breath.When I say we I actually mean me and Mer.Maya looked completely normal .Once our parents saw us they started bombarding us with questions about how the kids club went and if we had fun. We responded “with it was great” and “we had a good time” so they wouldn’t get suspicious.But as soon as we said goodbye to maya I felt a weight lift off my chest.The whole car ride to the hotel was uneventful and I just looked out the window the whole time.When we arrived at the hotel it was already getting dark.My parents said that tonight's dinner was kids choice and Me and Mer just let my siblings pick.Arthur wanted mcdonalds but Lara just wasn’t having that because she really wanted shake shack.In the end we ended up voting and apparently it was half in half I wanted shake shack and Mer wanted mcdonalds.It was right then when the amazing parental 6th sense came in. “Why don’t we have both?” My dad said. “I agree how about I drive the kids who want mcdonalds to mcdonalds and you drive the rest to shake shack” Mers dad pitched in.In the end thats what happened.After we secured the goods (the food) we went to the hotel to have dinner.Mer was already in the room playing a hair game with french fries in her mouth. “So what do you think?” I said. “Think about what?” Mer responded. “Maya, knowing her she wouldn’t just let us go” I said. “I know Nina but she’s not here right now and frankly I hope it stays that way” Mer said.She still seemed sour about the whole gun pointing situation that had almost gotten us killed .Honestly I couldn’t really blame her I was still traumatized too plus almost right after we barely escaped being burned alive with half of the museum.It was already 9:00 pm and I wasn’t in the mood for an argument right now so I went straight to the shower after dinner.After me Mer went to bed in our pj’s of course and gossiped before falling asleep.I was having a good night until I heard a creek that sounded like our hotel window.I’m a very light sleeper so this creeped me out. I slowly opened my eyes only to see a tall long haired figure standing inside the room.It was Maya.She made eye contact with me and put her finger up to her lip to tell me to be quiet. She woke Mer up.Mer almost screamed but I stopped her just in time. “What do you want Maya?” I said. “Chill, I'm just here to deliver a special message, pack your bags. She said. “Why?” Mer said. “Because you're going to camp” she said.
