Nineteen-year-old Taida Haru is a reclusive college freshman whose life revolves around online classes and watching his favorite streamer, "UntitledGhost." Haru dreams of becoming a gamer but feels constrained by his mother’s expectations and his own self-doubt. His routine is disrupted when his energetic friend Gabriel announces that UntitledGhost will be at a local gaming convention celebrating the grand reopening of GameStop. Excited for a chance to meet his idol, Haru overcomes his reluctance and attends the event. However, he quickly notices something strange: there are no other fans at UntitledGhost's booth. In a tense confrontation, Haru discovers that UntitledGhost has been using bots to inflate her viewer count, and he is her only real fan. Just as Haru processes this shocking revelation, the convention is thrown into chaos when high-tech equipment is stolen, with him and his favorite streamer as the suspects!
