Scene 1:

----------------------------------------

“Amethyst, wake up. It’s time to go to school. I will buy you breakfast on the way.” Her mother said brushing her long dark brown hair. Amethyst groggily woke up rubbing the sleeping dust from her eyes. “I’m up…” she said softly and got up to follow the routine.

After buttoning the final button of her uniform and completed her hygiene ritual she brushed her long hair. Her hair was exaggeratedly long but both mother and daughter grow it out of tradition. For school, she never had it down because of two scenarios back in grade school; someone put gum in her hair, which her mother was clever enough to remove with ice and tile cleaner, and someone cut a piece of her a few weeks later. Now Amethyst goes to school with a sock bun and covers it with a laced net. “Alright, Pixie, I have to go to school, stay here,” Amethyst said, motioning to the dolly house she had left open for her fairy to live in. Pixie threw a tantrum wanting to go with Amethyst wherever she went. “Pixie, no. I can’t risk taking you with me,” she whispered softly to the fickle fairy.

“Amethyst, are you ready?” her mother called from the living room.

“I'm putting on my socks.” Amethyst sat on the bed and picked out between the yellow lace socks or the pink ones. In the end, knowing how dirty her socks get in that school, she picked the yellow ones. Now, the issue were her shoes. The blonde really wanted to wear the pink ones, but she had to resist. They were exclusively for special occasions, given that reason, she chose the black ones instead.

Her mother was getting her television equipment in the car while trying to finish her phone call, Amethyst took this as an opportunity and quickly ran to her next-door neighbor, Kaori, to greet her.

“Ohayou Gozaimasu, Amethyst.” Her uniform was different from Amethyst, she had a black and blue plaid skirt, a button down black shirt and a navy blue sweater vest. Kaori goes to a prestigious private school which means she is is over her shoulders with homework and studying.

“Morning, Kaori!”

“The video will be uploaded soon, make sure you see it at lunch time,” Kaori said.

“I will!”

“So, are you taking the fairy with you?”

“No, I rather she stays.”

“But… it’s a fairy only we can see! What’s the point of having a companion if your gonna tank life solo!?” the Asian asked slightly irritated. Amethyst guesses to be she hasn’t slept.

“Kaori, I don’t want to drag her out of her environment to shove her in another, she might get stressed.”

“That doesn’t stop our parents from doing it!!”

“Kaori, you sound like a parcelera… That’s not shiny”

“Oh, leave me alone, I just wanna sleep…”

“Kaori, you didn’t have to edit that all night long, you need to sleep.”

“Not like I could…”

“What do you mean?”

“It was too dark yesterday.”

“So? You only sleep in dark borrows. What’s wrong?”

“I… I gotta confess I saw that video in the deep, deep web.”

“Yeah, and….?”

“I couldn’t sleep. It was fucking creepy watching people eat other live people!”

“Kaori, it’s time to cease watching that stupid series, get a night light and sleep.”

“Never! It became my life! Last night was the season finale! I will personally make a neon sign that will say: double crossers pay double; one for each cross!”

“I am not gonna watch it with you…”

“Yes you--” Kaori and Amethyst cringed at Mr.Tsukino yelling at them in Japanese, not even Kaori could decipher it. “Okay, go to your school,” Kaori said pushing Amethyst out of her home. “Okay, Have a nice day Kaori!”

Amethyst ran into the priest on her way to her house. He was walking down the path holding his bible under his arm. He smiled and spoke, “good morning, Amethyst. How are you feeling?”

“I-I am good and you?”

“I am feeling great. I am on my way to greet the new neighbors.”

“We got new neighbors?” It wasn’t strange for neighbors to come and go, there had been strange disappearances for years, even sudden deaths.

“Yes. You know me, I must give them a warm welcome.”

“You are very kind, Father Demos.” Amethyst smiled and blushed.

“And you are very late for school, Amethyst,” he chuckled as he tapped his designer wrist watch.

“Ah! Sorry I got to run!” She ran to the car and her mom ran down with her energy drink and still in the phone call. “A new neighbor huh…?” Amethyst wondered who could they be this time. She hoped they were kids of her same age. The last girl that moved in didn’t last two days till they moved back out. She hopes maybe this one will stick.

“Uhg…” her mother groaned, “I really hate that Tsukino asshole…”

“What happened?”

“His fucking limo, fucking idiot has to use it every single fucking day instead of using a normal car.”

“I would use my limo every day if I had one.”

“He actually sued Dana because she blocked him with her quinceañera limo.”

“Oh yeah… That was terrible, Kaori was so embarrassed.”

“I was embarrassed,” Nancy sighed and continued, “we will get late again…”

“Mom, it’s okay.”

“It is not okay! I won’t stand to be the worst mother!” Amethyst laughed, her mother was a drama queen, but she had been one of the coolest mothers on earth. Her name was Nancy Zetterberg and although she is a single mother, she takes her responsibilities seriously. Nothing will stop Nancy from giving it all to Amethyst, including getting her pancakes whilst getting her to school on time.

Her mother drove her to school with six minutes for Amethyst to run to her classroom. “Have a good day, princess,” her mother said.

“You, too, Mama.” The teen reached to kiss her mother's cheek and jumped out of the car making a mad dash to her classroom.

“Amethyst! Don’t run!” Nancy yelled before she drove off to her work.

Amethyst ran up to the second floor and ran across the halls to find her classroom. She slides in and grabbed an empty chair and sat down.

“Morning, Amethyst,” said a boy with short brown hair. Amethyst turned and smiled, “Morning, Joe.”

“The teacher isn’t coming today.”

“What?”

“Yeah, apparently she was hanging out at night with the ladies and was involved in a horrible accident.”

“Wait, what? Is she okay?”

“My mother really couldn’t say what happened but from the little my mother did say, she is in a coma…”

“Oh, wow… That is terrible.”

“What did you expect from this island, if it's not a shooting, it's a drunk and drive accident.”

“I guess… So what will they do with homeroom?”

“At the moment, I assume we have the first and last period free. But I know they will assign a substitute till she recovers, or find a new teacher…”

“I see. Well… want to play Witchcraft till the period ends?” Amethyst reached for her deck, mat and her totems in her bag pocket.

“Yes!” he said excitedly and searched for his deck of cards.

Amethyst and other students noticed an unfamiliar girl walk in. She had her headphones on and a sour look on her face. She could be a new student. She sat beside Amethyst and avoided eye contact with everyone.

“Hey, Joe, I think we got a new student,” Amethyst said as she shuffled her deck.

“Oh?” He looked over at the new girl as he set his mat on the desk. “Huh, that’s pretty neat.” He looked back at Amethyst. You think she wants to play cards with us?”

“It doesn’t look like it but let’s invite her, maybe she is just sad she had to move to a new school.” Amethyst turned and tapped on the new girl’s shoulder and she turned her head to Amethyst. “What?” she spat.

“Hey, we're going to play cards, do you want to play?” Amethyst said. Both she and Joe smiled invitingly.

“No.” She turned away and turned up the volume of her music player.

“Rude…” Joe said as he drew seven cards and laid his familiar totem on the mat. “She could be on her period,” he added.

“I don’t think so…” Amethyst noticed one of the guys of her class approach her pulling the ear bud from her ear. “Hey, baby,” Amethyst and Joe both cringed. “What is your name?”

“One of these days, Lexis will die,” Joe commented.

“Why does he think giving a girl a pet name is a good idea? None of the times it worked,” Amethyst added.

“Women love persistent men…”

“That's shiny.”

The girl grabbed her bag and tossed it at the boy, he tumbled over a few desks trying to deflect the backpack. She said to him, “fuck you, that’s my name…” The entire classroom gasped and stared at her.  “What? You want me to toss you my bag at you too?” she threatened at the crowd.

Amethyst looked away from her and whispered, “great… we got a new bully…”

“If we stay out of her way, we can avoid her deadly bag toss…” Joe advised. “Also, I jinx you.” He set a card down and spoke with a smug smile, “you can only speak in rhymes.” Amethyst glared at him unimpressed. She will be a perfect poet at the rate he summons that jinx.

“Well, If not for the fact I am a proper lady, I too would swing my bag of tricks at your toothy grin…”

Scene 3:

----------------------------------------

At lunch Amethyst and Joe went their separate ways, Joe ate out with his friends and she at the lunch room. Amethyst sat at a table and noticed everyone was on their phones, after glancing at someones phone she recognized the clothes in the video, the video Kaori produced and directed, as promised. She logged on and viewed the video. Kaori had a beautiful talent for editing to the point she made her unrecognizable. The whole point was to be anonymous so Amethyst is not targeted by people in real life. Everyone was watching their videos and the views were increasing since the production values were improving. She wondered if Kaori will use her talents in the communications department in the future.

She ate as quickly as she could to go outside to play dodgeball. Out of all the sports she had tried dodgeball was her utmost favorite. She had played it frequently to be one of the most annoying targets to hit and the most fought over as a valued team member. However, there weren’t any students playing dodgeball, which greatly disappointed Amethyst.

“Hey!” someone yelled at her and grabbed her by the bun dragging her across the field. “Let go of me!!!” Amethyst shouted. “Not so tough when confronting me, huh!?” The new girl slapped Amethyst. “Let go of me, you psycho!” The blond teen kicked at her assailant’s face and took the opportunity to get away. Amethyst ran away but her assailant was closely behind. “Bitch, why you running?!” the new girl shouted trying to reach for her collar and instead tackled her down. In seconds of the new girl punching Amethyst in a blind rage, the entire school alumni surrounded them to egg them on and record the fight. “Don’t talk shit if you can’t face me! Bitch!” she yelled again.

The blonde teen, never really liked confrontation, unless she had to throw a punch of two. “I said back off!!” she shouted and punched her throat hard enough to stun her but not to kill her. She proceeded to kick her off and rolled back onto her feet. The delicate blonde whipped the blood of her lip and spat the pool of crimson saliva onto the the dirt. The new bully took her stance, “your not just a slutty princess, are you?” one thing is for certain, Amethyst was grateful she didn’t wear her pink shoes to school. The dainty blonde raised her fists and just as ruthless as her assailant she viciously knocked her face side to side and kneed her stomach. Once her attacker sat on the ground on her knees, Amethyst grabbed a handful of her dirty blond hair and punched her hard enough to knock a tooth off her gums.

“Amethyst!” she heard Joe in the crowd. “Amethyst what the hell happen?”

“Son of a bitch attacked me…” Amethyst glared down at her assailant. She wanted to make her eat dirt.

“What!? Why!?”

“I don't know.” She calmly walked over to reach for another handful of hair. “What is going on!?” A teacher and a few other staff members surrounded the the bully and helped her to the nurse's office.

“Amethyst you are screwed…” Joe said as the principal gave her the accusatory look and signaled her with his finger to follow him to his office.

Scene 4:

----------------------------------------

Amethyst arrived back home at three o'clock, she heard her mother calling her connections to file a lawsuit against the school. The teen opened the door to her room and opened the dolly house were Pixie receded.  At the realization the fairy dashed out leaving a glitter trail. Amethyst giggled at how happy the fairy was to see her. Her expression soured to mild horror as she placed a microscopic hand over Amethyst’s cheek. “I told you it would be better if you stayed home.” The blonde laughed. “Want to go say hi to Kaori and Marie?” the fairy nodded excitedly.

Amethyst changed quickly and left the house. Marie and Kaori didn’t look happy. “Holy fuck! What the hell happened!?” Kaori shouted. “I got in a fight--”

“What do you mean you got in a fight! You're a girly girl! You don’t fight!” Kaori, had a point, she never had such a serious confrontation.

“Kaori, I could kick your ass if I wanted to…” Amethyst jived.

“Does it hurt?” Marie asked.

“You should see the other girl, I knocked her tooth out…”

“Shit Amethyst, you are not just telling me you are the whole package are you?” Kaori said and circled the teen blonde.

“Kaori, shut up…”

“It’s true what they say.” Marie said.

“What?” Amethyst looked at the French descendant.

“Soulmates share the same battle scars…” Marie said with a flushed smile. Amethyst’s brows knitted together at how odd the saying sounded. “What…?”

“What she means is, we got a new neighbor.” Kaori said to kill the awkward build up.

“Ah yes! Father Demos told me this morning,” it was a bright side she expected, she had long forgotten about it. Her friends didn’t seem too overjoyed.

“Her name is Lou Anne,” Kaori said crossing her arms. Both her and Marie looked over Amethyst’s shoulder. Upon turning Amethyst's nightmares were confirmed, not only did she had to face her every day at school, but the school bully was actually her new neighbor. Lou Anne stared at Amethyst like a red bulls eye. The blonde glared at her, standing her ground. “You want me to knock a few more out of your bitch ass mouth?” she spat with venom in each syllable.

“I’d like to see you try, cunt…”

“We’re not at school, I will drag your fat ass to the ground, bitch!” Amethyst shouted as she walked over to Lou Anne. Kaori and Marie surely have not seen her this aggressive or anything like it. They knew to call someone for help, but they also were enticed to watch. “You want a piece of my frilly ass? Come and get it! cause I will sure as hell make you choke on your teeth.” Amethyst cracked her fists and got right in Lou Anne’s face.

“Amethyst, stop!” Marie shouted.

“Dude! You just got out of a fight!!”

“Sweet heavens!” Amethyst was so engrossed in throwing punches she never felt someone pull her away from Lou Anne. Her fist collide with something and instantly fell backwards.

“Oh, shit…” Kaori breathed.

“Father Demos!” Marie squealed. Amethyst was shocked, she literally slugged the love of her life and knocked him out. His face bleed from an open wound on his cheek bone. The blonde teen checked her hands, and she had globs of it. Not only that, her knuckles sparkled like a raw gem, and it hurt like hell after the adrenaline went down.

"Amethyst, it is safe to say, you gave him one hell of a shiner--” Kaori tried to say but Marie interrupted her. “Don’t…"
