The rules for this game are quite simple. I will have your fragment live in this world in a form that I chose. Yes, do not worry. This world has plenty of life force, so it will be alright. Of course, the power needed to send you there will be equally supplied by the two of us. Those were the terms, after all.

As we have decided upon, you will live as an elf. You will go through the reincarnation process and experience everything from infancy. Rebirth will not be allowed. I will not be creating a new body for you. I know, I know. I have chosen a child who will not have any complaint even if you stole his place.

The life awaiting him is a cruel one that he would gladly yield to you. Obviously, his soul will not be destroyed. I will gently remove him from the body and insert your fragment inside it. He will have to wait for the next time he is born, but it is better than living through hell since birth.

As per our agreement, your objective will simply be to live. For every year you spend in that world, I will not absorb any life force. If you die before the time limit we set, then I will get an equivalent amount of life force to the numbers of years you’ve lived through.

You may cross dimensions and go to your fragment’s rescue. However, you must not give it any items in your possession such as your guns or the Heaven’s Blades. It will survive using its own powers, powers given to it by the world it will inhabit.

Using the gene pool from its parents, I will modify its appearance a bit to suit your tastes like you asked. However, its body’s health and strength will not be changed. If you are born with a weak body, then you will live with a weak body. Yes, I know. If it is terminally ill, then I will make it healthy to be fair.

As per the rules, I will not be interfering in any way. Use everything at your disposal to survive. Your fragment will not possess any of your powers, so do be careful if you want to make this game last longer than the other one.

Waking up to the sound of shouting, the newborn baby slowly opened her eyes. In her hazy vision, the first thing she saw was a high wooden ceiling.  

“It’s been a week already. Despite not uttering a sound, she is healthy. The doctors don’t believe that she will die. What should we do with her?” [???]

“That thing is not my child… Throw her away.” [???]

Sunlight streamed in through the windows, illuminating the well-decorated room.

“Half of your blood runs through her, Talindra.” [???]

“Nylian… Are you telling me that I should care for her?!” [Talindra]

“No, but your clan has given birth to powerful individuals. What if she has inherited it? We can’t let go of someone that could be a potential asset to our kingdom… Or a threat.” [Nylian]

“That’s… True. She has those barbaric humans’ blood.” [Talindra]

She was lying on her back, in a crib for babies. Having only been born a week ago, her body wrapped in a light blue cloth was small, weak and tiny, everything you would expect from an infant. Long, pointy ears were on each side of her head that was adorned with a tuff of black hair.

“Still… She is far too young. Do you actually suggest that we-“ [Talindra]

“We should keep her.” [Nylian]

“That half-breed?! I can’t even stand looking at her! Every time I see her, I remember…! I remember…!” [Talindra]

“It’s alright… It’s alright… I’m here… I’m here… I won’t let anyone hurt you again…” [Nylian]

“*Sob sob* Why did this happen? Why…? Why…?” [Talindra]

Blinking her sleepy-looking eyes, the left one was dark brown while the right one was white. She had an adorable face with soft pale skin. Though the little one tried to get up and survey her surroundings, her body wouldn’t move properly. She was still too weak to even crawl. As such, she continued to gather information by listening to the voices that were near her location.

“Please be strong, I’ll be here for you, always.” [Nylian]

“*Sniff sniff* I’m *sniff* I’m okay… I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I wanted to give birth to your children only.” [Talindra]

“Don’t be. It should be me that asks you for forgiveness… I couldn’t protect you.” [Nylian]

“No, my love… It wasn’t your fault. I am simply happy that you still accepted this tainted body of mine.” [Talindra]

“That was my vow when I married you. My feelings won’t change no matter what. I love you, now and forever.” [Nylian]

“Nylian …” [Talindra]

“Talindra …” [Nylian]

Although she was eavesdropping to learn more about her current situation, for some reason, she could hear something very similar to a soap opera happening close to her. The man and woman were in the middle of passionately kissing and reaffirming their love for each other.

“Are you alright with this?” [Nylian]

“… Yes. We will keep her until she is old enough to manifest her powers. But, what if she isn’t strong? What if her powers are nothing special?” [Talindra]

“Then, we will throw her out of our house. She is not our child.” [Nylian]

“Good. But, our son might be negatively influenced, so we should keep her isolated.” [Talindra]

“Of course. Her existence is, unfortunately, already known to the other clans, but we’ll keep her hidden as much as possible. However, to not bring anymore disgrace to us, we should give her a minimum of education. If she proves to be useful, we don’t want her to act like a savage beast.” [Nylian]

“… Alright. Can I leave it to you?” [Talindra]

“Yes, I’ll make all of the necessary arrangements.” [Nylian]

Understanding their words and hearing how her treatment would be like, one thing popped up in the baby’s head.

“(Huh… They’re gonna feed me, shelter me and educate me for years. This game is going to be easier than I thought!)” [Ryner]

That was what Ryner thought as he, she, decided to go back to sleep. Her body needed rest.

“(Stupid, weak, female body…)” [Ryner]

That was also another thought she harbored as she tried to lay on her side, but failed and was stuck sleeping on her back.
