"Is that your plan? You blank faced monster." Alan chuckled, pushing himself up from the bed he lay on.
He stood up and surveyed his surroundings, a purple walled room, the floor being greyish-black and the ceiling the same as it. The only other thing in the room happened to be another bed, a white bedsheet covering it, the shape of something visible underneath. He walked to it and removed the bedsheet, inspecting what lay under, his memories of what happened earlier still somewhat hazy.
A little girl lay there, her long, pink hair hanging off the bed, having been pulled by the bedsheet. Her pink wolf-like ears twitched on the top of her head, alerted by the movements in her surroundings, though she did not wake up yet. She wore a dark-pink coat over all black clothes, a black shirt and black pants, a pink wolf-like tail visible behind her, along with seven tendril-like phoenix tails. As she turned to the side her leg hit Alan's, causing her to slowly open her eyes, looking up at him, his blue eyes reflecting slightly in her crystal-like pink irises.
"Seems like you are awake," a voice called from behind, "both of you."
Alan turned around, looking at the gate, at the girl standing there, her pink hair hanging down till her thighs as she stood with her back resting on the doorframe, her pink dress dragging on the floor. Her appearance resembled that of the little girl, but taller and older. Their eyes, hair, and ears, all being greatly similar.
"Yes, just woke up, Freya." Alan mumbled, looking at the little girl.
"Something happen?" Freya inquired, slightly tilting her head at the two.
"Just things that I saw in there." Alan muttered, his eyes still on the little girl, who also continued looking up at him, slightly turning her body, her legs hanging off the opposite side of the bed.
"What did you see in there?" Freya inquired.
"Its called the imaginary plane, correct?" Alan inquired.
"Yes, as far as we know, it is," Freya confirmed.
"From our information, it is an accurate depiction of someone's mind and soul, correct?" Alan mumbled, receiving a nod from Freya. "Can multiple people share the same imaginary plane? Or their imaginary planes being somehow connected?"
"Not as far as I know," Freya replied. "An imaginary plane changes based on everything that someone has been through as well. Like someone's mind, it is not fixed and changes continuously," she explained.
"Can two people's imaginary planes be connected?" Alan inquired, emphasising his second question.
"Maybe, if their souls are closely connected then they might be. I am not very knowledgeable in this topic, no one is as studying souls is a near impossible task," Freya shrugged.
"I am confident the imaginary plane I witnessed wasn't Crystal's," Alan informed.
"But her soul is the catalyst, you just needed to enter it and shake it enough to awaken it, and she is awake now," Freya reminded. "If you entered someone else's she wouldn't be awake right now."
"Unless they are closely connected," Alan mumbled.
"For something like that they would need to be pretty much the same soul, like two parts of the same soul... Wait, is that what you are implying?" Freya questioned.
"Based on Celestia's research thus far, every soul is made up of smaller parts which merge together to form a somewhat stable soul, which is just a clump of a constant cycle of Chaos and Curse energies, right?" Alan inquired.
"That is Celestia's research, yes, and the phoenix elders also agree with that," Freya confirmed.
"What if you were to pull apart that stable soul into multiple pieces?" Alan questioned.
"They won't be stable enough to function by themselves," Freya reminded.
"Are you certain about that?" Alan inquired. "If its just about the soul being stable, maybe even if split into pieces it could be stable if they are in the right proportions."
"Yes, that is possible, I guess," Freya sighed.
"Didn't those same researchers also think her soul has less energy than what a normal soul would have? Just seventy percent as much as a normal soul, even though most souls have very slight changes," Alan questioned.
"They did. So, you are implying that her soul has been split from another soul, and the imaginary plane you entered belonged to the other part of that soul? This is getting confusing," Freya mumbled.
"Celestia found records of a little girl from long ago, right? A little girl who possessed both the Angelic Eye of Creation, the strongest Angelic Eye, and the Demonic Eye of Destruction, the strongest Demonic Eye. It is believed only ten people can possess either of the two eyes, ten each, and yet, this one girl possessed both, something that has never happened before or after," Alan mumbled.
"What are you implying?" Freya inquired.
"Haven't we already seen someone like that?" Alan questioned.
"Kesshō only possessed the Demonic Eye," Freya reminded.
"She only used the Demonic Eye, she did not feel the need to use the other. If she uses both at once then there are very few who actually stand a chance against her, even The Creator will have trouble against someone like her if she uses both," Alan chuckled.
"I still don't understand how this connects to what you said before," Freya mumbled.
"How exactly did Celestia find records about the girl?" Alan questioned.
If you encounter this narrative on Amazon, note that it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
"By following The Creator's traces, they found he has been in that world multiple times, around the same time the girl lived. Could have just been a coincidence," Freya shrugged.
"Suit yourself," Alan sighed. "We have already established a soul that has been through one life would find a body most like its first one to be reborn. I simply find it hard to believe that her soul would be reborn in Crystal's clone, even when it is believed clones created in that manner don't carry a soul, they simply connect to the soul of the original and mimic it."
"This is getting more and more confusing," Freya mumbled.
"I will confirm it for myself later on," Alan sighed. "Now that she is awake, it would be a good time to respond to his request and go to him ourselves. So, where are the two of them?"
"Fighting a Midnight Wolf last time I checked, Kesshō is atleast," Freya answered.
"Midnight Wolves, isn't that the only world where they still exist?" Alan inquired.
"Yes, which is why it seemed weird at first to me as well, but then I figured the Midnight Wolves will die one way or the other," Freya sighed with a shrug.
"Why is that so?" Alan inquired.
"The one pulling the strings here is most likely The Creator, and his puppet for this purpose are the Midnight Wolf girl and the third rank of the Immortals," Freya explained. "I do feel bad for the girl, she has no idea who orchestrated this entire thing. From what I could see last time I checked there, she would most likely end up blaming it all on Kesshō and Kurai, neither she can defeat, not even in a thousand years. She hasn't even managed to land any actually damaging hits on Kesshō, and she should know hand to hand combat is not enough to kill Krystallites."
"Has the battle ended?" Alan questioned.
"Probably, I will need to check the report from other observers," Freya shrugged.
"Let's do that then," Alan chuckled. "Crystal, are you coming?" He inquired, gently brushing his hand against her head.
She nodded as she pushed herself to her feet, standing on the bed before jumping off and following behind the two. They walked through a dark corridor, the walls lined with doors on each side. Opening the door at the very end of the corridor they stepped outside, the bright sunlight falling on their faces as they continued ahead.
Grass and trees lined the paved pathways of the outside, leading to an edge directly in front. The three stood at the very edge, strong winds tossing their hair to the sides as they looked below. The wide expanse of tree covered lands stretched nearly as far as the eye could see, tall mountains visible right at the horizon, slowly getting bigger.
"Do you think she remembers anything?" Freya inquired, glancing at Crystal.
"I don't think so judging from the look on her face," Alan smiled.
Crystal stared into the distance, her mouth slightly open and her eyes widened, the sunlight's reflection giving them a bright glow. Her nearly hidden wolf tail swung from side to side, her ears also twitching along with it.
"Well, the report?" Alan inquired as he glanced behind him, a girl possessing a mix of brown, white and black walking towards them.
"I really thought I would be able to sneak up on you this time." Kristine sighed, brushing her hair to the side, the swirls of black and white over the brown moving behind her shoulders, hanging down till her waist, fluttering in the wind along with her brown dress, the crystals embedded in it clicking together every so often. "Here you go." She thrust a file in his hand as she reached him.
Alan opened the file, glancing through the contents for a few moments before tossing it to Freya. "What do you think now? Do you understand what I was talking about now?" Alan questioned.
An orange-red tendrils shot out from behind Freya, wrapping around the file and placing it in her hand. She glanced through the report at a similar pace, tossing the file to Kristine once done. "The only thing his statements prove is that he needs the girl, the purpose for it unknown. These 'sisters' he mentioned is the only topic that interests me here."
"Still skeptical of my assumptions I see," Alan laughed. "Very well then, if they are in an already doomed world, and if their target is The Creator, then their next destination will be the Guardian of that world."
"Who is not our subordinate, he died quite a while ago and never accepted our proposals, that troublesome weaponsmith if you remember," Freya sighed.
"Who is the new Guardian? They might be smarter," Alan shrugged.
"Its a little girl, she isn't powerful in the slightest yet, the Earth Primordial of that world protects her for now," Freya informed.
"The less number of Primordials that remain the stronger the remaining ones become, right?" Alan inquired.
"Exactly, just why she could be troublesome even for us, being someone who has travelled between worlds Kristine has lost her status as a Primordial along with her powers," Freya sighed.
"I am just one of the unlucky ones, if I travel to a world without an Earth Primordial I will be treated as the Primordial," Kristine shrugged.
"Which would make you stronger," Alan pointed out. "Not just stronger even, it would make you twice as strong as when you were a Primordial."
"But that would require us to kill the Earth Primordials of those worlds, and Primordials are born when a world begins. A new Primordial won't be born into that world again," Freya reminded. "It would have been fine if we needed to kill the Fire, Air, or even Water Primordials. Earth Primordials are simply the most important once a world has become stable to sustain life, and killing them would disrupt the balance and set the world on the path of destruction."
"Well, what is the little girl's power? If it's just a Primordial we need to deal with, Crystal will be more than enough." Alan inquired as he patted Crystal on the head.
"We have no idea, there has been no attempt to make contact since the previous Guardian died," Freya shrugged. "Its just a kid, trying to reason would be pointless. I know the old man would have imparted his hatred to his students just as much as his knowledge."
"Let's find out what her powers are then," Alan scoffed.
"Question, are we going for a fight? Or a test?" Freya inquired as she glanced at him.
"Definitely not a fight," Alan sighed. "Their target is The Creator, and he hasn't made any moves on them thus far. If anything he invited them to a fight by showing up there. If he is choosing to wait instead of dealing with them instantly, then messing with his plans would draw his attention towards us. Don't forget we have been able to grow to this extent only because we have avoided any direct conflict with him."
"So, we are only going to test your theories?" Freya questioned with a sigh.
"Exactly," Alan smiled. "Crystal, how do you feel about getting to meet your sister at long last?" He inquired as he lifted her in his arms. She stared in his eyes, tilting her head to the side. "Definitely sisters," Alan chuckled.
"Yes, she is even thinking of kicking your face just like Kesshō did back there," Freya scoffed.
"Your mind reading is stronger, but don't forget I am capable of doing the same." Alan set Crystal back down, patting her on the head.
"Yet you can't read Kesshō's or Kurai's minds," Freya giggled.
"Don't forget you can't either. You might be an exceptionally powerful phoenix, but we are against the Queen of your species as well, and a weapon meant to kill anything, no matter what or how powerful it is," Alan reminded. "Luckily the third is just a human, no matter how strong."
"You should remind yourself that, I am not the one that has been playing around. I have been serious about eliminating the threats, but you just can't seem to stop playing with them and letting them escape." Freya replied in a cold voice, glaring at him.
"Now, now, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Overestimating our own capabilities will be death, they have been generous enough to not try and kill us yet, let's not give them a reason for it either," Alan sighed. "Regardless, she is not yet strong enough to defeat The Creator. If she wins we will know one thing for certain, his plans are something bigger than anything we ever expected."
"Should I call everyone?" Kristine inquired.
Alan nodded as he turned around. "Time to say farewell to our friend, rival, and enemy, I highly doubt The Creator has any need for him either. He has only served the role of protecting her till now, and if The Creator is calling her to him, it's safe to assume he is no longer required."
