Honestly, I look like every other girl on Venus. Tragically beautiful. That’s why mothers on Venus have to paint color-coded stripes on their children. And well, if a child happens to lose their mother, that’s okay, they’ll find another that looks just like them!! It happens so often, no one ever is upset about it.
I guess one thing that makes me different is that I love to write. Most on Venus don’t like to, but me, I can write for hours upon hours. Not that I get very far on any single story. . . which reminds me!! Here’s another novel I couldn’t seem to get past the first two paragraphs —

While the world burns, and continues to burn, I sit here steadfast. Waiting, hoping, and longing for the day I am free of this treacherous life. If it can be called a life at all. It’s a lot like agony. And agony breeds vengeance. Something I have never been capable of.

Destiny is a strange word. I am destined to rule the kingdom. Or so says the oracle. Fate is also a strange word. I am fated to become a terrifying queen. See, the difference between fate and destiny is that one is not so easily changed, no matter what actions you take. Fate is set in stone, but my destiny. . . that’s up to me.
