There was absolutely no room for her to refuse.
Nor could she ignore it.
His presence was too strong.
Encountering such a person for the first time in her life was quite tricky for her, leaving her a bit at a loss.
After finishing the water in her hand, Shen Fangxing turned and placed the glass down, then picked up her phone and walked into the bedroom.
They agreed to start anew today, so she needed to gather her strength. In this second chance at life, she wouldn't allow herself to be in such a miserable state again.
The next day, early Monday morning.
A black Volkswagen slowly made its way towards the Su Corporation Building on the wide road.
The rain all day yesterday had freshened the air in the city considerably.
Shen Fangxing rolled down the window beside the driver's seat, one hand resting on the window while the other firmly gripped the steering wheel.
Her hands wore a pair of black thin gloves, and she was clad in a caramel-colored windbreaker that hugged her slender figure. Her dark hair was tied neatly behind her head, giving her a refreshing and capable look.
Her expression was indifferent, without a hint of emotion on her cold face, yet her clear eyes carried a hint of sharpness, adding a touch of majesty and pride.
As the car approached the Su Corporation Building, Shen Fangxing rolled up the window, firmly gripped the steering wheel with both hands, turned, and slowly drove into the underground parking lot.

As Shen Fangxing got out of the car with her keys and handbag, a loud honk echoed in the empty underground garage.
Shen Fangxing stopped in her tracks, turned around, and saw Su Heng's Rolls-Royce passing by her closely, parking not far away.
Then she saw Su Heng swiftly getting out of the car and walking to the passenger side, opening the door, and reaching out. A pair of delicate white hands fell into his, and Shen Qianrou, dressed in a Chanel tweed skirt suit, stepped out of the car.
Her milk tea-colored hair cascaded down in front of her, meticulously styled, and her makeup was immaculate. She stood still, looking up at Su Heng, flashing a sweet smile.
Shen Fangxing's eyes flickered slightly but didn't pause. She turned and walked towards the elevator lobby.
"Fangxing."
Just as she took a couple of steps, Su Heng suddenly called out to her.
Without any hesitation, Shen Fangxing pressed the elevator button as she stood in front of the doors.
Su Heng and Shen Qianrou followed closely behind her, and Su Heng's voice rang out once again.
"Fangxing, when were you discharged? Why didn't you tell me?"
Shen Fangxing didn't even turn around. With her back to the two behind her, only coldness and sarcasm filled her heart.
"What's our relationship? Why should I tell you?"
Su Heng's face stiffened, and a trace of awkwardness and complexity flashed in his deep eyes.
Beside him, Shen Qianrou looked at his expression, bit her lip gently, and then raised her head to glance at Su Heng.
Sensing the woman's look of grievance and vulnerability beside him, Su Heng regained his composure, lowered his head, and smiled comfortingly at her.
Relieved by Su Heng's gaze, Shen Qianrou looked at Shen Fangxing's back and said softly,
"Sister, you can't swim, and you were in the water for a long time. You shouldn't have left the hospital so early..."
A deeper chill began to envelop Shen Fangxing's heart.
Can't swim, was in the water for a long time?
While others might not have noticed, how could she not?
Shen Qianrou seemed to want to remind her at all times—
Even though she knew she couldn't swim, Su Heng chose to save Shen Qianrou instead of her without any hesitation!
A life-and-death decision was enough to show how pitiful and sad the abandoned person was.
She was saddened by this from the beginning.
But did she expect to be sad about this for the rest of her life?
Or did she think that without Su Heng, she, Shen Fangxing, couldn't go on living?
