The God that stood in front of Conall had regained his smug grin. With no Current to protect his mind, the answer was already known. He took Immortus' hand in his own, and they shook. The deal was made.
They both marched back to the bar, Immortus picking his drink back up and Conall simply leaning against the counter. Too much had happened in this 'dream'. He had learned a lot about what, o rather who, the Divine were. In fact, he just agreed to kill one. But a few questions remained.
Immortus, reminding Conall of just how vulnerable his mind was, yet again answered a question before it was asked. "What does my 'help' entail? Mostly it'll be Quests. I give you something to do, you do it, you get reward. The Quests need to fit within my Domain or be a request straight rom me. So with what mine is, you just need to keep doing what you are doing. Survive. The rewards will mostly be Skill levels, or just Skill Points depending on the Quest."
"Speaking of that, time for the first one. I'm going to make you my Apostle. Essentially, the most favored believer. You just having that position will grant me a whole Hell of a lot of leeway, at least for the first Quest. So..."

A scream ripped from Conall's lungs as his body tore itself apart. Bones cracked and were ground into powder. Blood poured out of his mouth, nose, and eyes as it was replaced. His skin dissolved, making way for a cold, hard amour. His eyes felt like they were boiling as they burst, the fluids pouring down his blood covered face. Runes and sigils branded themselves across his body, the scripture of Immortus made manifest. Two orbs of Monster-mist violet replaced his eyes, and a new field of movement was added to his sight. Flowing, churning magic. Current.
The agony was almost unbearable, but it faded after a few long minutes. His flesh had been replaced with stone, extra plating imitating armor in certain spots. His eyes were violet gems, letting him see Current. Veins of gold arched up from his palms in a show of Drain. His heart was covered in jade crystal. His blood had been changed into a strange sap-like fluid, green with flecks of gold. Stories and myths were burned into the new skin, tales of all that Immortus had done. After the pain, Conall had just one priority.
