From Lush green campus, colorful mage robes and tall buildings to snowy campus, black mage robes, and two-storey buildings ---- on outside Thea's daily life have changed drastically.

The shift from colorful campus life to a black and white campus could have disturbed anyone but for her, the world she have been living in was already a grey one. After losing her parents and the disappearance of her best friend, life has been nothing but empty.

Thea was the top student at Grand Magus University but she was transferred to Northern Avalon at Kosmos University for going to the King's garden also called the forbidden garden. Though the memory of visiting the forbidden garden has been completely erased from her head.

She was walking in the snow-covered University Ground which was neither too big nor too small it was ideal for around 300 students to stand. The ground was surrounded by buildings on three sides and an Old Blackish-Brown Wooden Gate which was as tall as the campus's cherry blossom tree on the other side.

"Strangely, I like it here .. feels so warm like home".

She smiled at the irony as Northern Avalon was the coldest place inhabited by humans in the entire kingdom.

Kosmos University doesn't have many students only a few dismissed students and locals. The number of warrior mages that are from the five warrior families was even fewer.

"Shhh…I heard she is from the FireMagus Warrior family.."

"So what? Ain't that family powerless now.."

The pale girl with fragile demure, long black hair, and cherry-colored lips turned and saw two hooded figures with feminine voice whispering while leaning across the open corridor wall.

Thea's height was neither too short nor too tall, somewhere around 5 ½ ft. She looked like some fallen goddess with that straight sharp nose, almond-shaped black eyes and a small forehead covered with fringes combed towards the right side. She was wearing the usual black hooded robe though she was not using the hood. Under the robe, she was wearing the University's Uniform- white shirt and black pants. The Robe was topped with a beautiful red bow.

'At least they don't say it on my face like the students at Grand Magus University' She thought to herself.

Mage Courses are usually 4 years long – the first year is usually the easiest one where mostly the rules, regulations, and the history of the five stones are taught.

Thea clearly remembers how fascinated she was to know about the five stones – Firestone, Waterstone, Earthstone, Windstone, and Skystone.

She belongs to the FireMagus Warrior family, where they had to protect the Firestone. Belonging from a certain Magus Warrior family means one had the power to interact with that natural phenomenon.

It doesn't mean one can create fire without fire. The mages can enhance the shape, size, and intensity.

She will be joining Kosmos as a second-year student as she has already completed her first year at Grand Magus. She made her way through the corridor to the main classroom and could hear a few floating voices here and there.

"I heard she visited the King's forest…"

"Ain't FireMagus on the decline?"

"Poor child! I heard her parents were murdered when she was 15"

"After all being a King is not easy…"

As Kosmos had very few mages the class division depending on mage or commoner is done from the third year. The subjects taught in the second year are the four basic subjects everyone should know – Universe, Magic, Math, and Economia.

"2-B! So this is the class I am gonna spend my next 1 year ".

The class already was filled with around 20 students though about half an hour was left.

"I like it here people seem quite disciplined".

The classroom seemed extremely old with a wooden black door, the floor was clean but the white color have slowly tarnished into light grey, the board was black with a wooden border and the glass windows opened into the vast snowfields beyond the campus. The chairs attached in series of a row, one a little above the other seemed to be respectively new, they had the brown tint of freshly made or painted one. The windows had rusty iron panes, but for some reason, this black and white classroom with all students wearing the same black robes felt extremely comfortable to Thea unlike the ones in Grand Magus where everyone used to wear colorful robes based on the family of mages or warriors they belonged from and sat at different rows based on their families current rankings.

The eyes suddenly fell upon the new face that entered the class. Thea was confused about how the system here worked about seats as she didn't see much bias in this University depending on one's family.

"I should seat in the back at least today..to attract less attention"

Thea went to the corner most seat at the last row, but the whispers even increased further to her surprise.

"Yoi..that guy seats there right?"

"Let's not get involved any further..he is kinda scary"

"Most of our classmates are scary even the new girl"

"She is quite a beauty though.."

"Hahaha..I think that's what they call Killer Beauty!'

"Oiii..you people! What are you guys talking about Killer Beauty? Where? Where..?"

A well-built guy with a golden skin tone, blackish-brown hair, and above-average height around 6ft entered the classroom. He was what you call falling somewhere between cute and handsome. Golden eyes, raised wavy nose and curly hair falling over his forehead all made him quite desirable.

"Here comes our chocolate boy William!"

"There at your Best Buddy's Seat…is your new interest"

"Eeeeh? When did Alvar turn into a beauty? I knew my effort was worth it by befriending that scary beast!"

"Ahem…Who are you calling a beast?" a sonorous and tranquil voice came from behind

"That white cold demon lord ofcour…."

William suddenly realized it was the beast himself who asked the question. He could feel his heart throbbing out of his body and his lungs giving up.

"All hail to my dear demon lord best friend … my beloved friend of eternity"

The scary demon lord as his classmates calls him though looked like a saint – calm and composed. He had fair skin which shined like the brightest star in the sky. The strides of a gallant warrior define his movement -tall, lean and broad shoulder. Green Eyes small and mean yet captivating enough to control the waves of the ocean with one glance. His hair did justice to the blue tie –white and grey just like the moon that steals the night. Alvar is a man who not only looks like the universe but smells like one.

Thea was staring at the familiar green eyes with emotions incomprehensible – Was she happy? Was she bewildered? Was she out of breath? Was she shocked? –mixed

emotions started flowing into her.

"Alvar?..." a shrill sublime audible mutter came from the back of the class.

Alvar looked at his favorite seat and saw a not-so-unfamiliar maiden with an estranged yet warm gaze. Though she gave a warm gaze, his green eyes felt so cold and dead as if burning Thea Valcan, the next warrior heir to The FireMagus Valcan family to ashes.

The uncanny silence and the aura of two powerful beings were felt by the mages and even the commoners. It felt as if time had stopped and it was freezing and burning at the same time

"Everyone take your seat!" – finally an unfamiliar voice broke the stillness.

A healthy short man with black hair and a short mustache that looks more powerful than it should be walked into the room with sheer confidence and a long record book.

Alvar decided not to reclaim the seat he had in 1st year and to choose the front row, William though being awestruck by his demon lord's action decides to take the seat next to him. Most of the students at Kosmos University took the front rows.

"So, welcome to your first class in the 3rd semester!!!.. You all can call me Professor Chadwick"
