^Earth: a small planet that used to be fully reliant on technology. The dominant race was humanity for countless years. Mankind had become too numerous for Earth, so they began to search for a solution without destroying a massive portion of humanity. Eventually, a team of brilliant scientists discovered an incredibly powerful energy that could be a potential solution to their population issues: Mana! By using machines to manipulate this mysterious energy, humanity was able to create a new home: an artificial planet called Terra. However, when Terra was created a bizarre phenomenon occurred that led to all technology on Earth being disabled. Devastated by the loss of technology, humanity began to search for a solution, which they eventually found. The solution?
Mana!
After the loss of technology due to the creation of Terra (which would later become known as the "Curse of Terra"), humanity began to show signs of being able to channel Mana to cause unnatural occurrences in reality, such as throwing balls of fire! This ability was aptly named "Magic" which was available for every human to use.
However, there ARE limitations!
Each and every person has a set Magic Input, Mana Pool, and Magic Output. The Magic Input determines how long it takes to gather Mana inside one's Mana Pool, which is the amount of Mana one can store inside their body. Lastly, the Magic Output determines the quality of the spell that is cast through the conversion of Mana. For example, someone with a high Magic Output can cast the same spell as someone with a low Magic Output but their spell with be better/stronger in some form.
Soon enough, society began to develop solely around Magic. People who lack talent with Magic were treated worse than people with talent in Magic. Time passed, and wars broke out, empires rose and fell, and technology was all but lost. Magic was developed and further advanced, with no end or limit in sight. Eventually, things settled down with the 5 Magic Empires taking over the 2 worlds of Earth and Terra. These empires each are known for different things, but they all originated from world powers on Earth eons ago; they even retained their names! The 5 Magic Empires are called America, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

As the teacher kept droning on and on to a class full of bored/sleeping students, there is a single student who was paying attention, but she finally zoned out.
16 years old, slightly below average height, blue eyes, shoulder-length maroon colored hair, a fantastic figure (although a bit lacking in the chest department), and a sweet smile, she is the school idol, Lisa Blaze.
Staring into space, she begins to think about other stuff apart from history.

As her thoughts drifted further and further off topic, she unknowingly falls asleep.

Startled, Lisa sits up with a small shriek. She looks around to see who woke her up, and she sees a tall, skinny, blonde, freckled boy glaring at her.
^Oh...it's just you Jason... (Lisa)
^Sigh...you're so hard to wake up... (Jason)
Jason, Lisa's childhood friend. They had grown up together, doing almost everything as a pair. Despite not being a couple, they were about as close as 2 people could be without being in love with each other.
Lisa, the incredibly talented fire magic user, nicknamed "Fire Witch", and Jason, the equally talented lightning magic user called the "Thunder Demon" were both students at the Australia's biggest and best Magic Academy, Imperial Magic University. Both of them currently occupy 1 of the top 10 spots among the strongest students in the academy. It constantly switched between the 2, but they always occupy the 7th and 8th strongest spots.
