“Huh?”
Hans stared at the giant boxes that appeared in front of him with a mixture of confusion and shock.
“A-Am I seeing this correctly?” Hans muttered to himself.
Fortunately for him, not a moment later, his question was answered.
Yes, you are, what you are currently viewing is a notification sent by the SYSTEM, would you like to view your status?
“Um, Yes?”

Because I certainly never heard of anything called a “Common Lesser Scorpion” in my life!” He yelled angrily.
All your questions will be answered if you were to look outside. Well, most of your questions at least.
Hans glared at the notification before doing as it said and crawled out of the hole he was in, and out in the oppressive sun beaming down its rays onto the desert and its inhabitants which now include him.
The moment he stepped out into the sunlight, Hans felt the heat boiling him alive as if he had melted glass shove his thirst into his body, he could feel his blood starting to be evaporated and his organs being melted.

Slowly, Hans felt the heat lessening its grip over him, and his insides stopped being melted into a liquid puddle. He gasped and panicked for a moment before relaxing before he started backing up into the hole to escape the heat.
However, before he managed to get back in, a giant scaly foot with massive claws the size of a human, looking sharp enough to cut through metal blocked his path. A massive shadow engulfs Hans and him slowly, and nervously, he looks up.
And what he saw scared him, scales the color of gold, teeth that were more like butcher knives, and eyes that held nothing but malice in them. It reminded Hans of a horned lizard but bigger, meaner, with knives stuck to it and fused with a Komodo dragon.
If he was still human, he would have pissed himself.
It was looking far in the distance, not noticing Hans at all, and his scorpion body’s instinct was yelling at him to run away, and Hans obeyed.
[Burrow - Lv. 1] Leveled Up
[Burrow - Lv. 2] Leveled Up
[Burrow - Lv. 3] Leveled Up
Hans burrows into the ground as quickly as he can, with only one thing on his mind. He digs and digs and digs until he finds himself falling.
He slammed into the hard ground, upside down, groaning in pain, Hans struggled for a few moments before flipping himself back onto his legs. His exoskeleton was dented, and falling on his back hurt his tail, a lot.
“Ow.”
[Pain Resistance - Lv. 1] Leveled Up
”Fuck off.”
Hans sighed and decided to take a breather. He stood there, still as a rock as what he just saw sank in.
“I’m really in another world,” He said.
He shook his head and decided not to dwell on it and took a look around, he seemed to be in what appeared to be a cave with crystals that gave glows which illuminated the cave and allowed him to see, barely, but it was better than being in the dark.
The cave was massive, open with tons of spaces, and a bit chilly.
“Well, got nothing better to do, might as well explore this cave,” Hans mutters.
He crawls to one of the nearby crystals to inspect it and on the way there, he finds some sort of moss growing on a rock, the moss itself was pretty ominous looking, blood red, when Hans came near it, the moss seemed to reach out for him with dozens of tiny little red tentacles.
He decided to call it, Blood Moss, after its color, and moved on, not wanting anything to do with it. When he finally got the crystal, he saw that the crystal had what appeared to be veins and in the center of it was a yellow object that looked like an embryo with an eye on its stomach.
Staring straight at him.
”What the fuck is that!” Hans yells, recoiling out of disgust and backing away from it. “Uhh, SYSTEM what that thing?” He questions, hoping for an answer.
I am not allowed to answer that question.
He was given an answer, just one that he didn’t like.
“What do you mean you’re not allowed to?”
I am not allowed to answer that question.
“Great, then what are you allowed to answer?” Hans asked. “Or are you not allowed to answer that question as well?”
Yes
“I’m gonna assume that means you’re not allowed to answer that question,” Hans said, before once again looking at the embryo and finding that its eye was still staring at him.
Hans shudders, feeling a chill down his spine. “God, that's creepy,” He mutters. The scorpion stared back at the eye and the two began to have a staring competition with each other.
For a while, neither of them blinked as both of them didn’t have eyelids, which he noted.
After a few more minutes of this, Hans moved to the left.
The eye moved to the left, still staring straight into his soul.
He moved to the right.
The eye moved to the right, following him.
They stared at each other for a few more minutes in silence before Hans broke said silence.
“God, I can’t get over how goddamned creepy you are,” He said, he paused for a moment and start talking again. “Say…can you even hear me? Blink twice if yes, blink once if the answer is no.”
The eye didn’t blink at all and Hans felt as if the eye just kept staring at him as if he was an idiot.
“Oh right, you don’t have an eyelid you can’t blink at all,” He realized, feeling a bit dumb. “Okay…move the ey—“ He paused, hearing the sound of something scurrying around, and a squeak.
“What was that?” Hans questions, now alarmed and cautious if something like that damn lizard appeared again. “It can’t be that lizard as I swore I heard a squeak, so at worst it should just be a rat,” He reasons, noticing that he was clicking his claws out of nervousness.
His instinct had him readying his stinger, ready to inject whatever or whomever made the noise full of toxins.
And then it appeared.
He saw it first, resting on a boulder, sniffing the air before noticing him.
It was…A rat. Hans relaxed a bit, after all, it was a rat, it couldn’t do anything to him as his exoskeleton was far too hard for it to break and it was far more likely he would sting the rat with his stinger to death than the rat even managing to break his exoskeleton.
Then the rat was killed before his eyes and he saw that the killer was another rat, but larger and had teeth that looked like it could chomp through steel.
It was also currently staring straight at him.
Fuck.
