I woke up to the chirping of birds and my mother calling my name, I received some mail from UA High apparently. My name is Kuzugami Shiro, and my quirk is Metallurgy, I can control and manipulate the properties of metal. I could turn the metal into a liquid, cover a person in it, and then harden it for binding, or turn a simple metal pipe into a sword sharp enough to cut steel plates.

The only downsides are that it only works with metals, no metalloids, and no non-metals, I also have to know the exact dimensions of what I try to create. Like if I was going to make a sword, I would need to know exactly how long and how thick and so on. And I can't make a pure metal like iron, I have to have at least some impurities, like a little bit of copper or another metal.

"Shiro! Come get your mail!"

"OK!"

I climbed downstairs and picked up the letter from UA, I had taken the Exam a few weeks ago and was waiting for my acceptance into the prodigious academy. I went back upstairs and opened it, a holographic disk fell out, and a moment later the Number 1 Hero, All Might appeared.

"I AM HERE AS A PROJECTION! I was watching your exam and was very impressed with your performance! So CONGRATULATIONS! You have been accepted as a student by the whole council. As for your scores, you scored 58 villain points and 40 rescue points, which gives you a total score of 98, this puts you in 5th place. You will be assigned to class 1-A, the classroom number is 214, and your teacher is Eraserhead. I will see you on the first day of school, YOUNG SHIRO!"

All Might disappeared and I was left stunned, I got into UA. But now, I needed to train.

"Hey, Shiro! Did you get into UA?"

I had just come back from my morning jog and was greeted by my two best friends, Shiki and Rekka.

"Yeah, I did."

"What? Seriously?"

"Yeah."

"Well we also did, 7th and 8th place baby!"

Shiki was a tomboy at heart and had the Quirk of Infinite potential, her body will continue to grow stronger as she trains and grows, the downside being she requires more food to live. Rekka was more of a gentle giant as her Quirk was Oni, and turned her into a 10ft tall Female Oni with breasts and hips to match her size, though she rarely ever fought anyone.

"Really what class are you in?"

"1-A, Baby! You?"

"The same but I got 5th place."

"Damn, and I thought that was a good place, guess not."

"Hey! It was still really high up there!"

"Oh come on, Shiro! You can do better than 5th, what was the other guy's name?"

"Katsuki Bakugou, the Explosion kid remember?"

"Oh... Bomb Boy, Well fifth is just as good as 1st."

"Yeah, well I gotta go, my mom wanted me home by 10, so I gotta take a shower and go to bed."

"Alright, see ya!"

I walked away and went home, my quirk was not a flashy one, and my family was not rich, but we got along well and my whole family had metal-related quirks. My dad could turn his arms into copper wire, which made him a legendary electrician. My mom had metal scales all over her body, and could even eat metal and live off it. and my older brother inherited both dad's copper wire and mom's scales and diet, causing him to have copper scales he could control with his mind and the ability to eat metal.

So yeah, my parents and brother were kind of disappointed when I didn't get any of their abilities but were proud I had a quirk at all. My dad is a great teacher and helped me get as strong as I am, and my mom was a personal trainer for heroes like the Dimension hero PocketSpace, a newer hero who could store stuff in a pocket dimension he created.

Though I have a mutation quirk, I inherited my mom's diet, so I can actually eat metals and often do as It allows me to store metals in my body. My favorite is lead as it has a spicy flavor to it.

As for why I train so much, it's because I don't want to die. I can't really defend myself without my quirk and I was almost killed in middle school. The bullies at the time were the sons of a hero and tried to hurt me, but Shiki and Rekka defended me. That day I decided that I would become a hero so I could defend myself.

I went home and took a shower, afterwards I headed to my room and began to practice my quirk, I was trying to figure out the exact dimensions of an item, it was a small, 3-bladed shuriken I had bought so I could have a ranged option when fighting, I could already make the metal move around, but I couldn't figure out the dimensions of the shuriken.

My phone started ringing and I looked to see who was calling me, It was my dad. I picked up the phone and answered it.

"Hi, Shiro! I was working on fixing a scientist's lab electricity when I found out that a new metal was discovered, called Nexium, all I could figure out was that it is a very moldable metal and feels almost like clay, I asked the scientist if he would give me a container of the stuff, for your quirk to experiment with, and he agreed, so I'll be coming home with a oil drum of Nexium."

"Oh Wow! Thanks, Dad, Love you!"

"Love you Bye!"

We hung up and I began to think of all the things I could do with this new metal before I began to work on my quirk control. I had been working on controlling Pure metals and had made some progress as I could now control a pound of pure Iron with my mind.

After about an hour or so of trying to learn the dimensions of the shuriken I had bought, it was starting to get dark outside, so I stopped practicing and went to watch some TV. Suddenly bursting through the door with an actual oil drum was my father.

"Hey Shiro, can you try your quirk on this barrel of Nexium for me please?"

"Sure, Dad."

I then reached out with my quirk and found that I could connect to the pure Nexium better than even impure metals, lifting the Nexium out of the drum, I found that my dad wasn't lying, this stuff was as soft as clay, but could be hardened to create a metal ingot stronger than Titanium alloy. I was able to shape the Nexium in the air, and even use my quirk to harden it, giving me an ingot of Nexium, which I gave to my dad, who took it and put it on a scale.

Turns out Nexium is much denser than osmium the densest metal in the world, as an oil drum of Nexium only created three Nexium ingots of about half a foot in length and 3 inches in width. My dad was surprised by how much Nexium had been used to make the ingots but was still amazed by the properties of Nexium.

After dinner, I went up to my room and tried again to find the dimensions of the shuriken, after several hours, and only a few mistakes, I was able to make a Nexium Shuriken, and I decided that I would make my hero suit out of this stuff, and began to sketch out designs, for the Metal hero Nexus's suit.

My first design was just a suit of armor that I could control to make weapons and tools from that I didn't really like. My next one was a suit with a built-in gas mask and a pair of swords. But that was just too close to the hero Smokescreen, and so I had to scrap that idea and come up with the perfect design.

It consisted of a tight silver bodysuit, and surrounding me was an assortment of floating Nexium weapons, from spears to swords to guns to two shields for defense. I looked like an anime character, and I loved it, I had the body suit as all 3 designs used it, and plenty of Nexium as Dad had actually received 4 oil drums of it.

I then spent the rest of the night drawing and redrawing the designs, eventually getting the blueprints right. And then I got the measurements right, and the weapons were designed to fold up into a single blade that served as a shield and last resort weapon.

I would use a spear tip and sword blade design for the weapons, the spear would be a spear until the handle was pressed and then the handle would extend and the point would split into three blades, a sword would do the same but with two blades and the gun would just change the barrel and projectile shot, going from a simple revolver to a shuriken thrower.

By the time it was time to start School, I had just barely finished my hero suit and was proud of my hard work. Maybe UA will be fun, we'll see.
