Flabbergasted Mike looked at the blue screen floating in front of him.

"This .... can't be possible ? I .. I am .... I have awakened?" stammeled Mike as he looked at the screen.

An unforgetable moment happened as Mike stretched his hand towards the blue screen.

"I am not dreaming, am i?" said Mike to himself as he said in his mind : "Skills."

Another Blue screen appeared.

Frost SphereLevel 1 10 mana

A Frost Sphere with a radius of 1 meter, deals 50% of your Magical Power as Frost Damage , also freezes .

A smile appeared on Mikes Lips as the second screen appeared.

"Unbelievable , i've awakened ." muttered Mike as he stared at his ceiling.

Carefully and slowly Mike walked towards his door. Slowly he put the shoes on . Finally he took a coat and stepped outside of his apartment.

Since the Government building is right next to his apartment it didn't took long for him to appear in front of the door.

A few people looked at him as he stepped into the building , but soon lost the interest as they buried themself in their smartphones or magazine.

"Excuse me , are you the awakener official ?" asked Mike as he stepped towards the counter with no people.

A middle aged man glanced at him before sighing : "Brat , if you want to become a Hardworker there is nothing against it. As many people strive to prolong their lives or gain some super powers . But as you learned in school the government doesn't allow a hotblooded youth to marsh into his death. You need to have at least 100 physical power, a weapon in which you are mediocre and a full team with at least one F grade member to be qualified to go into the worst dungeon."

"I know but i am not here to .." said Mike as the middle aged man suddenly began to lecture him about the dangers of going into dungeons .

"Young people need to cool down , you have your whole life in front of you but you waste it because you want fame and glory !" said the middle aged man with an angry face . "First of all get a job , earn money and buy physical power . Then choose a weapon and learn martial arts , socialize with your peers and then you can join the dungeons ."

Just as the middle aged man wanted to continue an old man with white hair appeared right next to him and spoke in a clear and calm voice : "John , first listen to the youth . After all there can be many reasons why he appeared , assistant manager who needs to inform the government about something or perhaps he only needs some information for the presentation he will make ."

"Y..Yeah Division Leader ." stammeled the middle aged man called John before turning towards Mike .

"I want to register as an awakened , i awakened today ." said Mike as both man looked at him .

Both of the man looked surprised before John snapped out of his state and asked : "Name , age , residence and current ocupation ?"

"Mike , 17 , current residence is the government apartment 197 and i am a student at high school X." replied Mike .

Confirming his identity with the data base of the government John looked at Mike before saying : "It's rare for someone so old to awaken , but follow me ."

Nodding Mike followed John.

After passing a few rooms and stepping into the lift , the trio arrived at the roof.

A training ground appeared in front of Mike as the door opened.

A few people glanced at him with interest but it soon left them and they started doing their own stuff.

Some people sparred with wooden weapons , other trained physical and a few even did strategic training on the field.

"Demonstrate your first skill and we will judge it's power , besides are you a magic or a physical awakener?" asked John.

"I'm a magical awakener , my first skill is called Frost Sphere." replied Mike.

Nodding John lead Mike towards a wooden puppet.

With an excited feeling Mike prepared to cast a Frost Sphere . It was his first time to use the skill as he couldn't use it in his apartment.

Using his Palm to aim he thought of shooting a Frost Sphere.

A Blue Ball appeared on his Palms as it shoot towards the wooden Puppet.

As soon as the Ball left his palms an icy air wave appeared and the ball flew straight towards the puppet.

Hitting the wooden puppet caused a shocking scene , the Sphere shattered the wooden puppet within moments . A layer of ice appeard on the former puppet.

Feeling a surging excitement Mike glanced towards John.

But the Latter only looked at the puppet and the ice before turning his head towards Mike.

No excitement could be seen on his face.

"Mike, i have to disappoint you. But it's not that of a great skill. It's worse than the common Fire Ball. It's damage is only mediocry, it didn't even shatter the wooden Puppet completely. Even though it's of the ice element which is famous for it's crowd control , the radius is too small to be a useful one. At most it can envelop three goblins which are close to each other. Most of the time you will likely only hit one or two." judged John before glancing at the old man.

Nodding the old man glanced at the disappointed Mike before saying :"Even though it's not a great skill, every skill has the ability to develop. After all one of the top Archers started with a skill that seemed to be trash. I think you know whom i am talking about. After all youths love to admire the best Awakeners."

With a nod Mike accepted the words of console.

"Since you are a magical Awaken and your Skill doesn't allow you to kill stronger Monsters we can only give you the worst rating : G-." said John before the trio stepped back into the lift.

With a depressed mood Mike walked out of the Lift .

"Cheer up , as you don't have to be hardworker. They don't even start with a skill. Besides there are many Partys who would like to have somebody with a cc spell. After all it can hold down larger monsters." said John before they walked back to the counter.

"Here is your Awakener Pass , it indicates your rank and your focus on magic damage." explained John while giving Mike a card made out of metal.

"Thanks , have a good day." said Mike .

"Wait, i believe you want to have your rookie present." grinned John.

"What? What for a gift are you talking about?" asked Mike with a surprised tone.

"See for yourself." said John before opening a case.

What appeared was a staff made out of wood, it looked like one of those staff one would use as a kid to play wizard.

"It increases your magical power by 50%, so it will be useful even if you are level 1 billion. But i hope you will have a better staff at that time. Well then, bye and good luck."smiled John before giving Mike the staff.

Being surprised by the unexpected beginner present Mike replied with a wide grin :"Thanks and bye!"

Walking out of the Building Mike took out his smartphone and called the school.

"Ah hello, here is Mike, a student of class 12. I won't go to class anymore." said Mike.

Receving the answer with an okay, he stepped into his apartment holding his staff.

Putting the staff into a corner Mike smiled.

After eating dinner Mike lied on his bed, staring at the ceiling.

"I look forward to my new Life." mumbled Mike before closing his eyes.
